Hi, I saw that you can take the navebus to Pegli. Could you tell me where to catch it, and are there other ways to get there? Also, which is better to visit: Pegli, Bocadasse, Nervi, or Camogli... if you're spending 6 full days in Genoa and have a bit of time to dedicate to one or more nearby spots? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi Monique, I can only answer the question "are there other means of transport?". About ten years ago, I stayed in Pegli to visit Genoa. I used: - the bus several days for the round trip (stops on the seafront in Pegli) - the train one day for the round trip (well-located station in Pegli). These means of transport should still exist today. I don’t remember waiting long (the frequency must have been sufficient). The journey took maybe 20 minutes by train, significantly longer by urban bus. I didn’t visit anything in Pegli (not even the famous villa); I just strolled along the seafront.

Good evening,

Where’s it better to go: Pegli, Bocadasse, Nervi, Camogli... if you’re spending 6 full days in Genoa and have a bit of time to dedicate to one or more nearby spots?

I’ve never stayed in any of these places, but here’s one observation. Camogli stands out in your list. The others are more like suburbs of Genoa, whereas Camogli is a charming little seaside town—very, very touristy, packed with Genoese and Lombards on weekends. Its main appeal is that it’s one of the gateways to hikes on the Portofino promontory. It really depends on the kind of vibe you’re after.

Hello, the shuttle leaves from Porto Antico in Genoa, next to the aquarium.

I only know Bocadasse, a very cute little cove with a residential neighborhood above it. There’s a really nice seaside walk. You’ll need to take the bus to get to the city center—it’s 2 € per trip, and you can buy bus tickets at tobacco shops.
