Je pars aux Philippines pendant tout le mois de février 2005. Je compte partager mon séjour en 3: 10 jours à Luzon pour visiter les montagnes et les peuples du Nord et, si j'ai le temps, le Sud-Est (le Mont Mayon justifie t-il à lui tout seul toutes ces bornes?) 10 jours, pas moins, à Palawan pour faire de la plongée au Nord 😇 10 jours dans les Visayas, mais où?? Bon Boracay, même si c'est touristique je peux pas laisser passer une telle plage, mais sinon? J'arrive po à choisir... On m'a récemment parlé de petites îles paradisiaques dans les Visayas mais impossible de me souvenir desquelles.
Quelqu'un pourrait-il me conseiller un endroit qui réponde à mon profil sur VF: "Amateur de belles plages, d'écotourisme, d'endroits déserts et adorateur plus que tout des endroits que personne n'arrive à situer sur un globe terrestre! " 😛
Le mont mayon, c vraiment bien. Surtout ne fait pas le taal, c bidon, de chez bidon. C la destination typique du riche philippin urbanisé de Metro Manila qui veut voir trois arbres et un volcan au moins une fois dans sa vie.
Mais c toujours pareil sur 10j c'est chaud. je sais pas si tu as une idée du temps qu'il faut aller dans les montagnes du nord? ca va te couter deja 1 jour allé + 1 jour retour de MM sur les 10 prévus... Si tu envisages de prendre l Avion pr Baguio, ca revient au meme, apres pour aller sur Bontoc/Sagada, c encore une journée. Banawe c à une journée de MM
Sache qu'on mange tres mal aux philippines et que la seule region correcte c le Bicol, juste à coté du mayon justement. bon je te l accorde c un detail.
Les visayas dont tu parles c'est Bohol et aloha beach probablement, ou alors un peu plus roots, tu debarques à Iloilo et tu fais guimaraes island, c sympatoche et tu pousses jusqu'à bacolod.
Je peux aussi te proposer Tablas et Romblon, les plages y sont sympas...
Laisse tomber boracay, question ecotourisme c est raté, il y a des jetées qui ont dénaturés la long beach pour que les pieds des touristes restent au sec, et il y a tellement de bateaux qui font la navette...j ai trouvé l eau moins limpide qu avant...peut etre une simple paranoia... C definitivement une des plus belles plages que j ai vue de ma vie (sans les jetées). Boracay c la plage pour les yuppies de manille, les expats de HK, de Taiwan, la plongée n'y revet strictement aucun interet sauf pour l initiation. Bref, c un peu le st tropez des philippines du chébran quoi.
Attention CALAMIAN group ( nord palawan), c'est QUE pour la plongée, CORON city il n y a pas de plages c meme presque laid coron city. Donc à moins de debarquer sur les resorts hors de prix au large à des tarifs dollaresques, si tu ne restes qu'a coron city, ce sera que pour faire des boat trip à la journée pr plonger, rien d'autre à y faire mais çà vaut la peine, les japanese wreck boat, c qd meme une sacrée experience.
Mais tu penses p etre à El nido; el Nido est malheureusmeent tres abimé par la dynamite (euh les sites de plongée, pardon, je vous ai fait peur hein).
je vois que tu connais les andaman. donc en fait, je vais te donner une idée relative de la beauté des plages...
Boracay c du niveau de havelock7 (je crois que c'est 7) mais sur 6 kms. Seule cette plage des andaman accessible facilement est au niveau des belles plages des philippines. j ai trouvé l'eau pas super limpide sur les andaman quand j'y etais en janvier 2002 ( les fameux ecotouristes disent que c à cause de la deforestation ).
Mais la plus belle plage philippines est ailleurs. je le garde pour moi, de toute faocn, tu n'aurais pas le temps d'y aller et il n'y a pas de G.H./Hotels dessus de toute facon...hé hé hé

Bon c'est génial que tu sois allé aux Andaman, j'ai comme l'impression que la physionomie de certaines parties des Philippines s'en rapproche un peu non? Si malgré celà tu me dis que Boracay c'est l'une des plus belles plages que tu aies vu, alors il faut que j'y aille, tant pis si c'est surfait, faut que j'y reste 2 ou 3 jours...
Oui Palawan je voulais aller à El Nido, les Calamian mais aussi le récif d'Apo, en remontant sur Mindoro.
Quant à la plage paradisiaque, je te laisse garder ton secret (après tout on n'est pas obligé de tout partager, je ne t'en veux pas!)... Et puis si elle est au Sud des Philippines, j'y vais pas, j'ai la trouille...
Bref, 10 jours Luzon, 10 jours Palawan/Mindoro, 10 jours Visayas, crois-tu que j'ai fait un bon itinéraire? (sachant que je n'aime pas trop courir contre une montre...) - Me conseilles tu de rogner des jours sur une des îles au profit d'une autre?

Si tu veux faire tout çà; il te faut passer une journée à manille pour booker tout avec une agence.
tu peux :
prendre l avion pr coron, de coron reprendre l avion pr el nido, de el nido reprendre l avion pour puerto princesa. de puerto : il n y a pas de connection pour panay, ( à verifier j ai un doute là) obligé soit d aller sur cebu, puis transfert sur iloilo, soit retourner à manille pr aller sur boracay.
pr el nido et coron ce sont des petis avions tres vite surbookés par les T.O. de plongeurs japonais. donc c pas super reliable comm'ondit.
Ya aussi un bferry qui fait coron el nido' c une nuit a peu pres, ca doit etre une fois par semaine, faut bien tomber, quoi.
Ensuite d'El nido, tu peux avec un bateau ( bangka) en longeant tout palawan aller juste en face de puerto princesa à sabang, ca demande une journée entiere. la aussi. Puis de sabang 4h de jeepney pr arriver à P.P.
le recif Apo tu ne peux y aller qu'avec un groupe, en charter voilier ou bateau de plongée.
les philippines pour shematiser c'est : pour la montagne luzon et mindanao, pour les plages les visayas et palawan. Donc fait un mixte des 2 : moitié luzon du mois pour les montagnes et l'autre moitié palawan OU visayas.
louer une voiture sur luzon? faut savoir que la route pour baguio sur 80 pr cent du trajet c moche, c du rural industrialisé. oui c un nouveau concept : Du rural moche typique des regions pauvres du monde.
le comparatif Andaman ? c'est simple on y mange 10 000 fois mieux qu'aux philippines, je jurerai presque que c'est la veritable raison du peu d'attrait des touristes francais pr les phils... :))

Bon j'ai repensé ce matin à l'itinéraire. Je fais les Cordillières de Luzon en voiture, puis on file sur Mindoro (en gardant la caisse), puis de Mindoro on laisse stationnée la voiture quelques jours (moins cher que de revenir à Luzon et prendre l'avion) et on prend bateau pour Boracay et visite de l'archipel des Romblon.
Puis si mon loueur de voiture accepte que je la laisse à Mindoro🤪, on file direct sur Palawan (pour rester 1 semaine au lieu de 10 jours). L'avantage est que je vais limiter les frais sur l'avion, le souci dans cet itinéraire est que je ne vais pas à Cebu, faut faire un choix et j'ai du mal à faire un trait sur Cebu, après avoir vu de superbes photos... La côte Nord de Cebu, elle me parait magnifique. Y es-tu allé?
Effectivement, c le probleme majeur, tu vas devoir passer une journée entiere à booker tes vols à manila, verifier les horaires de bateaux etc...et peut etre que tu devras commencer par les iles avant de faire les montagnes.
Quand tu parles de Mindoro, tu penses à Puerto galera?
Mon dieu, ne va pas la bas, Puerto galera c'est les mecs qui emmenennt les nanas de manille et qui ont la flemme d'aller jusk'à boracay ou de payer trop cher pour aller à boracay.

le bateau pour boracay de manille ? le plus simple si tu es à mindoro c de continuer au sud, et tu enchaines sur tablas, romblon, boracay, et tu repars de boracay en avion ou tu continues sur iloilo.
Mais de boracay pas de connection pour palwaan. je v etre precis, il ya un bateau de iloilo pour Puero princesa via cuyo island, genre une fois par mois; mais encore une fois ca concerne des gens qui voyagent lontemps.
De mindoro tu ne peux pas aller à palawan, il faut revenir à batangas( sur luzon)pour choper le ferry qui fait : batangas-coron-el nido, je crois.De mindoro à palawan nord ( calamian island), tu peux trouver des pecheurs, mais franchement, ne compte pas la dessus, t auras jamais le temps de chercher.
Moi quand je suis allé à cebu, y avait eu un typhon recent, et la cote dont tu parles avaient été arrachée, le truc touristique( j ai plus le nom en tete) ou tu peux plonger j ai pas trouvé çà super..mais là ce sont des souvenirs qui datent de 10ans, donc bon...

Tu es dans le 1000 avec le bateau Mindoro-Boracay, c'est bien ce que je comptais faire, pour ensuite remonter les Romblon's.
Bref, toujours du mal à choisir et pourtant y'a plein d'incontournables que je ne peux éviter, même si c'est touristique!
Alors voilà, dans cette liste selon toi quels seraient les endroits que je pourrais laisser tomber, vu que je pourrais pas tout faire: Rizières du Nord Luzon, Mindoro (Puerto Galera et côte Ouest), Boracay et l'archipel des Romblon, Iloilo et Guimaraes, Cebu (côte Nord:iles Bantanyan et Mascapula), Palawan (El Nido), sachant que les 2 dernières destinations me couteront cher en billet d'avion. J'ai fait cette liste en fonction des commentaires du Lonelyplanet, de photos sur internet et dans un bouquin et... de tes précieux conseils!
Enfin, rassures moi: il faut vraiment que je booke tous mes vols à l'avance?😮 Mon Dieu, j'espère que c'est pas la prise de tête comme en Inde! Vu le nombre de compagnies, je pensais que trouver un vol était assez facile, même en se poitant la g.. enfarinée le jour-même à l'aéroport!

1/ développement d'un tourisme durable, c'est à dire mesuré, dans le respect de l'environnement, des populations locales et de leurs traditions, et au profit de ces dernières ( le vrai sens donc, noble...)
2/ buller dans un endroit magnifique et préservé du tourisme préformaté à l'occidentale (genre pubs à la noix, boutiques à gogo, hôtels qui occupent tout le front de mer...)

C'est tres simple: apres 20 jours, tu vas dans un bureau de l'immigration et tu demandes l'extension de ton visa (c'est entre 2000 et 3000 pesos. Ca varie pratiquement tous les mois 🤪). Tu pourras rester 59 jours. Il existe des bureaux de l'immigration sur toutes les iles importantes.
L'autre moyen: tu demandes un visa 59 jours en France.
Il se dit que, si tu ne prolonges pas ton visa, tu peux te presenter a l'aeroport et tu payes simplement les 2000 ou 3000 pesos et tout se passe bien. Je n'ai jamais rencontre personne qui ait utilise ce moyen.
Si tu te trouves dans ce cas, tu seras en infraction. Je n'ose pas imaginer ce qui peut t'arriver si tu as un accident de la route par exemple. Ca peut te couter tres tres cher.
Autre cas: tu tombes malade et tu dois etre rapatrier en France. Est-ce que ton assurance va prendre les frais en charge, vu que tu n'es pas en regle?

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?

My departure is slowly approaching, and now that I’ve got my Russian visa sorted, I’m fine-tuning the rest of my trip to Tajikistan. Since the Tajik visa is no longer required for stays under 30 days (for French nationals), I’ll need to visit the Ministry of Interior (OVIR) to register within 10 days of entering the country. No big deal, though, since I had to go there anyway to apply for my GBAO permit. 😉 However, I’ve *seen* several reports from travelers (mostly motorized) mentioning that you need an entry permit for Kyrgyzstan, which has to be arranged in advance at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) in Dushanbe. Otherwise, you’re *stuck* at the Kyzyl-Art border (with no Wi-Fi, of course, to try and sort it out). The most recent report was from a year ago, so I’d love to know if this is still the case and if it’s indeed at the Kyrgyz Ministry (consulate?) where you need to go for this pre-authorization.

I already have my round-trip ticket.
The problem is, I don’t have time to get a 2-month visa because the process takes nearly a month.
From what I’ve read here and there, I need a return ticket valid for less than a month when I arrive in the Philippines to prove my good faith.
After that, I can apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office.
I’m planning to either buy a fully refundable ticket to the nearest country or a fake ticket.
For 3 months, I’ll need to extend my visa two more times before my return date to France.
My question is this:
Will immigration ask me each time I extend my visa by one month to show proof of an exit ticket matching the new visa extension date?
Is it possible to extend directly by 2 months before the initial 30 days expire?

My partner (Mexican) entered France on January 21st as a tourist. She was therefore entitled to stay for 90 days in the Schengen Area. She’ll be leaving for Mexico on April 16th, so she’ll have “used up” 86 days.
She plans to return to France on July 18th. According to the European Commission’s Schengen calculator, this new stay “may be authorized for a maximum of 90 days.” That’s not very clear ("may be," "for a maximum of").
The text of Article 6 of the European regulation (2016/399) states that for a stay planned in the territory of the Member States, not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period, one must examine "the 180-day period preceding each day of the stay." That’s not very clear either.
My partner wants to return to France for a 90-day period starting on July 18th. Is this possible?
There are two ways to look at it:
1) The first day she spent in the Schengen Area was January 21st. That day will drop out of the calculation 180 days later, on July 20th.
From July 20th, she’ll get back 1 day of possible stay; on July 22nd, 2 days; and so on. All the days from her previous stay (January 21st–April 16th) need to be outside the 180-day rolling window.
The last day of her stay was April 16th. Looking 180 days ahead, that brings us to October 13th. From that date, she’ll be able to return for a full 90 days.
2) The number of allowed days is calculated for each day of the new stay. In other words: the 180-day window is recalculated every day, not fixed at the entry date.
If she re-enters France on July 18th, she’ll only have a “credit” of 4 days. But with each day of her new stay, one day from the previous stay (January–April) will drop out of the calculation. The rolling window allows her to “replace” days from the previous stay with those of the new stay, without ever exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.
In this case, my partner could stay in France for 90 days starting on July 18th.
The Prefecture doesn’t provide any information, nor does Air France, and in the forums I’ve checked, opinions are divided. Thanks for any insights you can share!

I’ve seen that it’s possible to get a 60-day visa before departure, but I’ve also read about people having a lot of trouble getting it (some even didn’t manage and had to leave without it).
We absolutely need to have these 4 visas BEFORE leaving because once we’re in Sulawesi, I’m not sure we’ll be able to go to an embassy to request a visa extension after 30 days.
In short, how can we **100% guarantee** that we’ll get our 4 60-day visas before our trip this summer?

We’re heading back in October for a trip through Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
I have a question: for our route, we’ll need to cross the Zambia and Zimbabwe borders twice each. From experience, I know we won’t have any issues with Botswana.
But for the other two countries, I can’t find a clear answer.

What steps do I need to take to recognize the child? Can I do it before the birth or only after? Where do I need to go, and what paperwork is required?
