Moi j'ai toujours été dans le sud sans prendre aucune précaution et je n'ai jamais rien eu!! Et ceux qui ont pris le traitement préventif me disent qu'ils ont été malade à cause des effets secondaires, alors quoi faire????🤪 Est-ce qu'il y a des gens qui en reviennent et qui n'ont pas pris de medicament preventif??
Demande à ton médecin une prescription, il te prescrira probablement de l'Aralen. J'ai justement été chercher une prescription aujourd'hui. C'est 2 comprimés par semaine, 2 sem avant de partir, (quelquefois c'est 1 sem. avant) durant tes vacances et 4 semaines après. cela fait 14 comprimés. J'ai fait plusieurs voyages et c'est déjà arrivé une année justement en RD que j'ai dû en prendre et je n'ai eu aucun effet secondaire. Tu peux aller chercher ta prescription et attendre au 22 décembre, date à laquelle tu devras commencer à prendre tes comprimés et peut-être que les mesures préventives ne seront plus en vigueur. Tu peux vérifier sur le site suivant
Pour te rassurer je connais des gens qui sont aller en republique il ny a pas longtemps et qui non pas eu la malaria....de plus, je crois qu<il ne faut pas trop sen faire...il y a 6 personne qui sont revenu avec la malaria...je crois pas qu<il faut paniquer avec ca...apres tout les vacances cest fait pour se reposer et non pour se stresser....moi aussi je men vais a bayahibe au mois de janvier et je me suis dit que les moustiques, les coraux et la malaria ne viendront pas gacher mon voyage... alors profite deonc de ta hate de partir en vacances plutot que de stresser avec ca, cest mon conseil...

Je crois que c'est une bonne précaution.Je suis rentrée ce matin de Bayahibe et j'avais pris une médication recommendée par mon tour opérateur.Je ne sais pas ce qu'il en est exactement, mais je peux te dire que la semaine dernière ils en ont parlés aux informations de la radio en RD.J'étais en contact avec la population locale et ce sont eux qui me l'ont raconté.Les autorités dominicaines ont pris la décision de ne plus employer de personnel en provenance d'haiti dans certains centres touristiques car cette rumeur (fondée ou pas ???) de malaria diminue l'arrivée des touristes.Reste à savoir si ils ne profitent pas de cela pour les renvoyer chez eux ! En tout cas, l'affaire à fait parler d'elle la semaine passée.

La Malaria (ou Paludisme) est un parasite transmis par les moustiques, les femelles exclusivement (encore un fléau féminin, 😛😎😛). Cette maladie n'est pas transmissible de l'homme à l'homme. IL n'existe pas de vaccin, uniquement des traitements préventifs et d'autre curatif.
Cela dit, comme j'ai lu sur une autre discussion, vous aurez plus de risque de mourir lors du trajet entre l'aéroport et votre hotel que de la Malaria attrapée en RD.
Soyez cool et ne vous gachez pas le plaisir de partir en vacances, la RD n'est quand même pas la forêt Amazonienne.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
