Quel temps peut-on envisager pour cette période ? Faut-il plutôt partir avant ou après octobre ?

En revanche, je suis comme Monique j'ai entendu dire que c'est généralement un mois avec novembre ou il y a des risques d'ouragans.

Alors je suis partiie A Punta Cana Fin octobre l'année dernière . Je peux te dire .. Que C'étaiit Magnifiique !!! Franchement c'est mon voyage préféré >< J'étais partie Avec le Club Med alors .. Rien à redire mdr ^^ C'est vrai que pour le prix .. bon Breff ..
Il fesait 3 ° C en France . Et La-bas j'avais 35 °C . Un temps superbe. Le soleil et tout !! Ca me manque trooop xD En général il y a beaucoup de monde la-bas en Octobre. C'est un des mois les plus beaux. Bah, a la RéPublique Dominicaine, c'est un climat tropical. Donc enfet .. Il pleut souvent 5 / 10 minutes le soir vers 20h / 21h ( enfin moi j'y suis allée une semaine et presque tous les soirs il y avait de la pluie ) Quelques petites tempètes. de 5 minutes pas bien graves ^^ Y avait même des éclairs a l'horizon de la mer. Trop spécial mdr >< Mais tkt Ca passe vite et après il fait chaud et beau toute la journée et toute la soirée ! Je pense que c'est une bonne chose de partir dans un pays tropical en Octobre.
Par contre fais gaffe aux moustiques !! C'est chaud la-bas .. Les moustiques.. ils viennent te piquer la journée n'importe ou n'importe quand.. Il faut acheter des bons produits parce qu'il y en a qui les attirent au lieu de les repousser ! Si si je vous assure !

Moi je proviens du Québec et toi de France. Ce que je veux te dire c'est que de peu importe de l'endroit que tu nous provient, le mois doctobre dans tout les caraibes, est pas mal la fin des pluies et ouragan en fin de saison de pluie donc les prix sont beaucoup moins élever durant les voyages.
Évidemment pour un climat de ton côté l'idéal est le mexique pour pratiquement pas te tromper. Punta cana est en république dominicaine. Ce qui arrive souvent dans ce pays est que la température est extrèmement variante. Juste pour te dire, pour ma part j'ai fait 3 voyages en république dominicaine et chaque fois la température pouvait variée d'heure en heure. Je suis allée a Punta Cana, a la Romana et a Puerto Plata. L'endroit a visité est bien entendu ta destination Punta cana pour son sable blanc et un peu moins de vague dans la mer.
Côté Météo j'y arrive enfin.

une fois en Avril. 4 jours ensoleillée et de beauté et le restant, beau temps en matinée et de la pluie comme j'en avais jamais vu avant même pas au québec la presque un ouragan en AVRIL
ensuite deuxième fois en janvier : C'est l'hiver la bas aussi et même température que celui en avril . Sauf que c'était un peu pire il pleurait de grosses averses 15 min ensuite gros soleil pendant 1 heure ensuite le déluge durant 80 % de notre séjour.
L'autre voyage en république : En janvier également la, beau temps toute la semaine pas de pluie mais quelques fois le ciel était menaçant.
Tout cela pour te dire que la météo en république n'est jamais sure.

Vu que j'étais dans les clubs juniors lol . Enfin je sais pas si tu pars souvent avec Club Med.
Moi C'était ma 2ème fois. La première fois, c'était au sud de la France.
Donc c'es sur que c'etait plus propre et tout ^^
Bah Déja l'acceuil .. Magniifiique !! Direct on arrive. Il y avait tous les GO et le chef du village qui nous acceuillait. avec nos valises et tout mdr. Enfet on était 300 à arriver en même temps donc on a eu droit à une fète de bienvenue >< Sinon les chambres .. j'ai trouver ca pas terrible. C'était pas très très propre jtrouve.
Euh niveau bouffe .. Je trouvais ca pas mal... Ils font des trucs spéciaux toutes les semaines. Du genre Spécialités asiatiques 1 fois. Ou je sais plus... Mais pour les fruits Quand j'y suis allée en octobre, Il n'y avait que les oranges et les fruits de passions que je trouvais délicieux >< Sinon les cocktails .. illimités et délicieux xD Pina colada 😄
La plage est propre ( normal c'es le club med xD ) Le Sable est doux, fin, magnifique. Un vrai petit paradis ! Et sii tu regarde bien xD il ya des grains roses mdrr 😛. Puis chambre vue mer 😎
Animation, il y en a tous les soirs. c'est fun >< C'est fait par les GO qui sont géniaux d'ailleurs 🙂 Et il y a un thème de tenue de soirée chaque soir ^^ Comme " Rouge et noir." ( alors apporte des vêtements ^^ ) Et la on danse tout en chantant : " Souuus les Sunlights des tropiiiiiiik L'amour se raconte en musiiik " xD puis après vers minuit => Discothèk face a la plage ( mais elle est petite et pas terrible ) de bons souvenirs :p
Activité sportive : ils ont 14 courts de tennis il me semble. des compétitions et tout. De la voile. De la plongée libre. Du kayak. Cirque ( trapèze volant etc.. ). basket. hockey . Beach volley. Roller. Salle de fitness... Ping pong. Petanque. aquafitness ...
Les excursions, j'en ai pas fait .. Ca coutait trop cher :/ et j'avais pas beaucoup de temps ^^ donc voila.

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka: Negombo – 1 night Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights Kandy – 2 nights Ella – 3 nights Tangalle – 6 nights Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊

Hello, We’re heading to Finnish Lapland near Rovaniemi as a family at the end of February with two kids (8 and 14 years old). We’ve got direct flights with Luxairstours. The itinerary is already set, but I’m wondering if anyone has traveled with Luxair before and knows exactly what kind of clothes they provide on the second day? The agency just told me it’s a heavy-duty cold-weather suit. I’m thinking we should get Sorel Caribou boots, maybe second-hand. Here’s what I’ve already planned:
- Thermolactyl leggings and tights from Damart for the whole family as a base layer.
- A first layer of Damart socks + Nordic Stocks socks in 70% merino wool for all four of us.
- Loose fleece layers, including some Polartec.
- Ski pants for hikes.
- For my son and me, a The North Face Himalayan down parka with a hood.
- A ski parka for my husband and my 14-year-old daughter (she *really* wants a Roxy one—I hope it’ll be warm enough).
- For myself, for the flight and the first day at Santa’s village, I’ve packed The North Face winter hiking pants, a long-sleeve merino wool top from Decathlon (thin), a fleece, and my big parka.
I’m wondering if I should just pack fleece joggers or sweatpants for the kids and my husband, at least for the first and last days, to be comfortable on the plane? As you can tell, I’m someone who gets cold easily—especially my feet, hands, and ears—so that’s my biggest worry. I *don’t* want to be cold, even at -20°C during dog sledding, snowmobiling, or aurora hunting when we might be standing still. We won’t be in the city, and the kids will likely spend most of their time outside, as they usually do.
