Je voudrais connaitre l'avis (éclairé) de personnes connaissant bien Agadir et sa région pour y avoir séjourné ou y résidant régulièrement (et là je pense bien sur aux retraités qui y passent de longs mois) l'hiver (ou autres périodes de l'année bien sur.
J'ai vu hier un reportage à la télé qui comme d'habitude montre bien entendu les bons côtés de la chose et j'aimerais donc bien connaitre les avis de résidents habituels et occasionnels, connaitre les bons plans pour les hôtels simples mais propres et toutes ces choses.

Si vous passez tous les hivers à Agadir vous devez bien connaitre en effet. Avant de passer plusieurs mois l'hiver prochain, on voudrait avec mon épouse y faire une petite visite d'une semaine (ou plus) ce mois ci si possible, et pour ça nous sommes à la recherche d'un hôtel sans prétention mais surtout propre et correct au point de vue équipement et aussi pas trop mal situé, ceci sans rechercher le luxe non plus.
Un hôtel avec pension ou demi-pension (ou pas) ferait bien aussi notre affaire.
Donc si vous pouviez me conseiller un, ou quelques hôtels correspondant à notre recherche je vous serai infiniment reconnaissant.

Il y a aussi, dans le quartier du Talborjt qui est central, l'hôtel Tiznine, très bien situé dans une petite rue tranquille, chambres spacieuses avec s.d.b à 140 dhs la double. Testé et approuvé...

http://residence-azour.com/ ce sont des superbes appartements avec une chambre, une réelle cuisine et un salon très bien aménagé, une salle de bains avec wc a part... la résidence est neuve et proche du centre ville dans le quartier de talborjt vous avez asswak assalam et carrefour-la belle vie à coté à 200 m (2 supers marchés) la belle vie on y trouve l'alcool.. pharmacie, boulangerie, pressing, petits resto sympa, tout a proximité de la residence et pour les taxis la journée il vous en coutera si vous n'aimez pas marché 10 dhm tout au plus pour aller a la marina ou sur la côte, le soir apres 20 h c'est majoré de 50%. si vous voyez que le taxi est sympa prenez son numero il viendra vous chercher sans majoration, je parle surtout pour le soir si vous avez envie de vous faire un petit resto, ou aller dans une soiree retro.. il y a des bars d'hotel qui font cela jusqu'a 23h30.. si j'ai bonne mémoire le prix est de 400 par mois sans caution eau et electricité comprise, vous payez a la fin de chaque mois.. le seul bémol c'est que ça ferme entre minuit et minuit et demi car ils veulent que la résidence soit tranquille je trouve cela aberrant bref mais c'est leur politique ! la vie a agadir est douce et tranquille... après il y a la résidence ryad pres de la mosquée loubnane parallele a l'avenue des FAR qui n'est pas chere mais elle est devenue vetuste 😕 propre mais mal entretenue... tamghart est tres joli et je rejoins siska dans ses propos 😏 j'adore tamghart et taghazout 😉 mais si vous n'avez pas de voiture ça va être galère pour vous deplacer.. il y a le bus souvent bondé et les taxis a 6 place pour rejoindre agadir... 2 devant et 4 derriere.. 🏴☠️🤪 à moins que si vous avez l'ame solitaire, avide de grandes promenades sur les dunes d'or... ce village est fait pour vous.. et si vous vous perdez 😕 il y aura toujours un chamelier ou un beau surfer pour vous indiquer la route 😎

Je poursuis mes recherches, je serais plutôt tentée par une location meublée individuelle pour 3 mois afin d'avoir la possiblilité de recevoir une amie qui viendrait par épisode Le maroc ne m' pendant mon séjour . comment faut-il s'y prendre, passer par une agence ou autre ? quelles sont les garanties de la location à distance ? Je dois avouer que je suis un peu inquiète et crains les arnaques et les mauvaises surprises. Je cherche un petit appartement pour 2 personnes a prix modéré avec douche, eau chaude, cuisine afin de pouvoir cuisiner et une chambre. Le Maroc ne m'est pas inconnu, j'y suis allée trois fois un mois, mais il y a très longtemps, et en itinérant. Je pense que ça a beaucoup changé, je ne connais pas Agadir, mais je pense que pour passer l'hiver sous un climat plus clément et rompre l'isolement de la campagne en hiver (froid, gel, et isolement) me baigner dans la vie urbaine avec en plus la mer à proximité, me tente vraiment. Si vous avez d'autres informations allant dans ce sens merci de me les communiquer.

bonjour Marie-Christine pour votre amie dans cette résidence il n'y a aucun souci... par contre un ami marocain ça passe pas! 😄 faut justifier par un acte matrimonial la présence de cet ami... vous devez le savoir je ne vous apprends rien! 🙂 je serais sur place et je peux vous aider à vous trouver un appart dans agadir... mes journées sont longues je suis en pré retraite... je pense que vous avez fait un bon choix en choisissant agadir surtout pour l'hiver... je vais à la mer 365 jours par an quand le temps le permet bien sur!! 😉 il est préférable d'arriver sur place et éviter les agences.. il est très facile de trouver un loyer modéré sans passer par les professionnels... en centre ville ou à proximité à 10 dhms de taxi soit 0.90 cents de la plage.. je marche beaucoup et quand je suis fatiguée je fais signe a un taxi ca me permet de rester en forme.. ! les particuliers vous feront un contrat de location signé et legalisé ce qui vous permettra de faire votre carte de résident si vous le souhaitez.....

Je confirme l'avis de Marina, à savoir d'éviter toute réservation par correspondance ou internet, d'éviter si possible les agences et surtout ne rien payer tant que vous n'aurez pas visité l'appartement.
Il est préférable de s'installer quelques jours dans un petit hôtel, ou appart-hôtel, le temps de rechercher un meublé.
En attendant votre arrivée, vous pouvez visiter le site bikhir (équivalent bon coin ), cela vous donnera une idée sur les biens proposés à la location.

Then, when I mentioned I wanted to stay for two or three weeks—maybe even a month—explaining that my trip wouldn’t be strictly touristy but more of a pilgrimage to the places of my childhood, and that it would likely be a very emotional journey, I expected a positive and warm reaction to my approach. Instead, I suddenly stopped getting replies from the three or four people I’d contacted. So now I’m wondering about the reception former Pieds-Noirs can expect...
Anyone here who can share their experience of returning? I specified “recently” because it seems that right now, diplomatic relations between the two governments are extremely tense, not to say hostile... even if Macron claims otherwise...

- Does it need to cover the entire duration of the trip?
- Is this document mandatory for a hotel to rent a room?
- Is it checked during inspections?
- Is a hotel booking (e.g., via Booking.com) sufficient for the visa?
- If so, does it need to be paid in advance?
I plan to visit several cities and do one or more treks with a guide or agency.

I’d like to do a route that’s a bit different from my first stay, which was more focused on cities and culture (Tunis, Sousse, Kairouan, El Jem).
I’ll be getting around by public transport.
I’d like to head south toward Tozeur, and I saw that you can take a *louage* from Monastir to Sbeitla (2h30). I imagine it’s not too complicated to get to Tozeur from there afterward? The issue is the return trip to Monastir and safety in Sbeitla.
If this route seems too complicated, I might opt for Djerba instead, which looks simpler.

Even though I come to Morocco four times a year, it’s been a long time since I’ve made the trip by car. I need to refresh my knowledge! I’ll be traveling in early October. I have a car that’s about 20 years old. The plan is to cross via Algeciras/Ceuta.

Day 4-5-6: Chefchaouen and a day hike in the Rif Mountains
Day 6-7: Discover the city of Fes (I’ve heard so many great things!!)
Day 8: Stop in Meknes and possibly visit the historic site of Volubilis
Day 9-10: Rabat (I’ve heard mixed things... some good, some bad)
After that, I have the choice of heading back to Tangier for my return flight... or going down to Agadir (also a possible return flight) and extending my trip by 5 days :)
From what I can tell, everything is well connected by bus (CTM) or train (ONCF).
Another question: Is the vibe in Moroccan youth hostels for meeting people the same as what you’d find in Western Europe?

(though there are fraudulent sites out there). On the official site, they ask for legitimate info
(name, nationality, etc.). What made me go "hmm" was the request for both an email address
AND a password (with confirmation). Is this normal?

A lot of people find it important to stick to their budget when traveling—not to skimp, but to visit as many places as possible since traveling is their hobby.
In this post, I want to share some tips for those coming to Morocco who want their trip to be budget-friendly.
1. Prebook everything: hotels or riads, car rentals, or tours. If you book these in advance, it’ll make your life easier. You won’t have to deal with hagglers or people trying to overcharge you for services that are available online for free. Use platforms like Booking, Expedia, carsrental.ma, Airbnb, and other booking services to get this done properly.
2. Exchange your money to Moroccan dirhams as soon as you land. 1 € is always a little over 10 dirhams, but many people get charged as if it were exactly 10 dirhams per euro.
3. When visiting an old site or the old medina, avoid talking to vendors and shop owners—they’re really good at getting your attention and making you overpay for things.
4. Ask your tour guide to buy things for you. Yes, they do get a commission, but you’ll probably pay way more if you buy something yourself that they can get cheaply.
5. Walk everywhere. You don’t need a taxi for every little trip. Pick a good location and walk—most Moroccan cities are safe during normal hours.
6. Buy your food, drinks, etc., from supermarkets at normal prices. They can’t overcharge you since they scan every product.

I’m planning my next trip outside Europe for next year, but unfortunately, I don’t have a choice with the dates—it’s late June to early July. Last year, I went to Japan for three weeks, and it was constantly 36-37°C with over 90% humidity. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t impossible either.
For Egypt, I know it’s a period to avoid if possible, but I’m thinking that by the sea, it might be manageable. Otherwise, I’ll consider another destination.

Day 5: Hurghada, then drive to Luxor in the early afternoon

For the Hurghada trip, either rent a car or—easier—a private car/van.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to travel from the Dades Gorges (Msemrir) to the Todra Gorges (Tamtatouche) on a paved road? Thanks in advance for any answers.
