Question about passport signature

Hi,

I don’t quite understand why you signed it at home instead of when the document was issued, but no, there’ll never be any problem with the signature as it appears in the image.

Hi, thanks for your reply—it’s my first passport, and they didn’t have me sign it there. I only noticed the signature box when I opened it, and my younger brother is in the same situation—no signature was done on the spot; they just handed us the passport.

hi, this can't be right. Did you receive a fake passport? As Tatra rightly pointed out, the passport is signed at the prefecture or a public office—not at home—to prevent fraud.

Good evening, no, the passport is authentic—it was requested through ANTS, then an appointment at the town hall. And I’m not the only one who wasn’t asked to sign inside the passport. I know two people in the same situation, in two different town halls, so I thought it was something usual…

good evening, my mistake then. But you should really get your documents checked at a town hall—no advice on this forum can replace that of a public official.
