Voilà, j'écris cette nouvelle discussion pour avoir quelques informations importantes sur le Canada.
Je suis Suisse et je souhaiterai partir une année au Canada durant 2016 ou 2017, je ne veux pas spécialement y étudier car je ne suis pas étudiant (malgré mes 23 ans ;)).
J'aime les choses variés et je suis quelqu'un d'ouvert, si je peux trouver de petits jobs pour pouvoir y travailler et y être autonome ça ne me dérange pas, mais si je peux trouver dans mon emploi actuel (la Logistique, avec 2-3 papiers en poche) ce serait vraiment top.
Je veux y aller pour me changer les idées, je sens que j'ai vraiment envie de partir au moins une année, je ne sais pas encore si j'irai seul ou accompagner, à voir ces prochains moins. Je souhaite également améliorer mon anglais.
Je planche sur Montréal car c'est une région bilingue, qui est un plus, ou alors vers Vancouver et son anglais. Mais je priorise Montréal car au début ça ne doit pas être simple au niveau anglais, surtout avec des papiers et autres démarches importantes à faire. Mais je sais que d'aller dans une région complètement anglophone pour améliorer son anglais et être ainsi complètement démerde, aide beaucoup à s'améliorer.
Je vais déjà en voyage de un mois au Canada au mois de juin 2015, donc j'aurai fait une bonne amélioration en anglais ^^.
Je sais qu'il y a X discussions qui ont été ouverts sur ce genre de discussion, mais je trouve peu de choses vraiment intéressantes, je trouve que des discussions assez vagues qui sont ouvertes (qui attirent alors que 2 ou 3 réponses puis c'est l'abandon), ou alors des choses qui ne me correspondent pas, donc j'ai préféré ouvrir ma propre discussion en espérant avoir de très bons conseils et qui pourraient aider, par la suite, d'autres personnes ici.
Donc pour commencer je sais que j'ai assez de marge pour m'organiser, vu que je souhaite partir en 2016, mais plutôt en août 2017 (tout dépend de ma vie professionnelle, je serai fixé dans 2-3 mois).
Si quelqu'un a déjà fait ce genre de chose, environ combien de temps vous a-t-il fallu pour organiser du début de votre organisation, jusqu'au jour de départ de votre voyage?
J'ai fais quelques recherches comme ça et je me sens un peu perdu, je ne sais pas par quoi commencer exactement.
Faut-il d'abord trouver une autorisation pour aller sur les terres canadiennes? Un boulot? Un endroit où y vivre? Est-ce mieux de faire un job dans mon domaine si c'est trouvable, ou de petits jobs tout bête?
Bref, si vous pouviez me donner en gros les démarches qu'il faut faire dans l'ordre...
Si vous pouviez également donner des conseils, des démarches pour trouver un boulot et un endroit où vivre, des combines pour y passer la meilleure année possible, etc... C'est un grand plus que j'accepte volontiers, même pour de petites choses sans grands intérêts, c'est mieux que rien et j'en serai vraiment reconnaissant.
Malheureusement il n'y a pas de passeport vacances-travail pour les suisses qui souhaitent aller au Canada, je crois qu'il y a une autre alternative pour les suisses qui souhaitent faire de petits jobs, mais il faut que je recherche ça pour être sûr et vous confirmer ça.
Pour le moment je souhaite aller une année au Canada pour y travailler, je pense faire une année le même boulot au même endroit, ou si je trouve autre chose je vais voir si je peux faire 6 mois à Montréal puis 6 mois sur Vancouver je choisirai cette option.
Alors j'ai trouvé, il s'agit d'un stage dans le métier que l'on fait actuellement qui est possible de faire sur le territoire canadien si on a entre 18 et 35 ans, afin d'améliorer sa profession et son anglais.
Je pense que je vais choisir ça.
A moins qu'une personne qui a fait ce genre d'année sabbatique puisse me donner des bons conseils :)

Ta formation en douane en Suisse ne sera pas d'une grande utilisé si tu souhaites travailler pour le Ministère de la douane au Canada, car ça fonctionne totalement différemment ici, et qu'il faut avoir la citoyenneté canadienne pour travailler là.
Par contre, si tu veux travailler en entreprise privée dans le domaine de l'import-export, la logistique de transport, etc. c'est un secteur en demande au Canada, ton expérience en Suisse pourra t'être utile, mais il faut un très bon anglais, même au Québec (tout, mais vraiment tout se passe en anglais dans le secteur de l'import export).

Je pensais bien que l'anglais devait être très demandé pour ce métier au Canada, car c'est déjà le cas dans les grandes entreprises multinationales en Suisse.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
