Je m'inquiete beaucoup pour la temperature a cuba au mois de janvier car jai entendu dire qu'il faisait froid ou tout dependant des annees desfois ils faisait chaud ou frais..!!!!!😕🤪Je sais plus....!Et aussi pcq je connais quelqu'un qui a ete l'an passer et il nous a dit que c'etait frais.Je peut comprendre que le soir on peut porter une petite veste mais pas au point d'avoir des frissons!!!!
Malheureusement, il y a des années où cela arrive et nous ne pouvons prévoir d'avance !
Je vous souhaites de la chaleur et du soleil, pour ce qui est de nous cette année nous avons opté pour un séjour de 2 semaines, jamais je croirai que nous n'en n'aurons pas un peu dans toute cette période !
Nous allons a Holguin du 9 au 24 février.
Lorsque nous allons a Cuba habituellement c'est la dernière semaine de Janvier qui chevauche celle de février et nous y allons en 1 semaine. Je dirais qu'en 6 fois, il y a eu au moins 3 fois ou la température était un peu trop fraiche à notre gout, et ce jamais au même endroit, Cayo Coco, la Havane, Santiago, Guardalavaca etc
Cette année nous repoussons un peu la date on verra bien.

Je te dirais que cest vraiment embetant car le premier voyage que jai fait du 1 au 8 janvier a cuba il faisait toujours tres tres chaud et le deuxieme a puerto plata fin janvier..3 jours de soleil et 4 jours de nuage et de gros frissons ou jai meme du prendre des bains chaud pour me réchauffer 🙁. J'ai hate de voir ce qui nous attend cette année...mi-janvier. Faudrait que je parte un autre mois la prochaine fois lolll..
Je m'étais pourtant fait dire que vue que Cayo Coco était un peu au sud de Cuba que la température serait chaude mais pas cette année là, en 2004. Beaucoup de personnes se sont fait avoir sans veste de laine et portaient assez fierement le serviette de plage le soir sur les épaules pour essayer de se réchauffer.
Le mieux, c'est de prévoir des vêtements chauds au cas où!.
Regarde, moi je reviens de Cuba du 17 au 24 novembre passé (Varadéro), je fait chaque année un voyage a cuba durant cette période et cela avait toujours été super avant cette année.
Statistique :
1 semaine avant moi soleil mur a mur et 28 degrés le jour.
1 semaine apres moi soleil mur a mur 30 degrés le jour
La semaine ou j'y étais, Nuageux 75% de pluie par jour tres venteux et max 16 degrés le jour!!!!!! Drapeau rouge toute la semaine sur la plage.!!!
Mais comme je vous dis il est impossible de prévoir, cette année du au fait qu'il n'y a presque pas eu d'ouragans dans la saison appropriée, cela se réflète autrement, c'est comme ici aujourd'hui certaine terrasses étaient ouvertent sur la rue St-Denis à Montréal, Qui a t'il a y comprendre ?

😄 En fait, oui il fait froid à cuba en Janvier et il peut y avoir de la pluie et tempé de 17c...Par contre il peut faire chaud mais attendez-vous au froid

Varadero et Cayo coco, Santa Lucia sont à risque en janvier, moi j'y retourne plus, j'ai gelé aux 3 endroits au moins 3 jrs sur une semaine....moins de chance que certains😕. Ce ne fut pas le cas à Holguin ou certaines journées étaient meme très chaude.
Je pars toujours en janvier pour me sauvé des froids sibériens.
Moi j'y suis allée le 6 fevrier 2006 pour 11 jours, et ben j'ai eu la chance d'avoir un superbe temps, a part une journée trés venteuse 😉😉 J'etais a Varadéro
Comme ca tu vas à Guadalavaca cet année, tu vas aimé car la plage est publique mais Paradisiaque. Je n'avais jamais vu sable aussi blanc. Tellement que cela ressemble à la neige le lendemain d'une tempête et que le soleil brille.
J'ai visité le villa Turey il y a fort longtemps et Playa Turquesa il y a 2 ans. Je me souviens que le vent y était présent et que jamais je n'ai eu vraiment chaud sur le bord de la plage pendant ma semaine. Par contre autour de la piscine là il fesait chaud.
Nous avons mangé à un resto qui donnait sur la plage près du Marché aux puces. Il sera à la gauche. Tu le verras sur une pointe. On y mange de la Langouste pour 20 CU. et la vue est Ouff.
Cet année nous avons opté pour Punta Cana. Je voulais avoir Chaud !

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ve planned a trip to Asia for the first half of November.
I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.
In between, I’d like to gradually head north to visit some less touristy islands on the Thai coast.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
