Un Montréal-Bangkok direct avec Air Canada... 😕
Salut! Je te conseil Montréal-Paris-Bangkok. Moi j`ai fais Montreal-Chicago-Tokyo-Bangkok et le vol le plus longs était 12hr ce qui n`est pas si pire mais un vol de 17h30 ca doit etre vraiment trops longs!! C`est quoi la différence de prix??

salut! je n'ai pas de prix final encore, cependant sur internet montreal-newyork-bangkok +/- $1900.00 (ton itinéraire je crois est +/-$1500.00) mtl-paris-bkk +/- $1700.00 c'est vrai que 17heures dans l'avion c'est long...! j'me dit que dans les aéroports et douanes c'est pas mieux.cependant on bouge le mal de place. finalement c'est une question d'argent

Je ne sais pas pour l'itinèraire, mais par contre, NYC/BKK en 17H30 de vol ??? Tu fais ça avec quel type d'avion ???? Tu es sur qu'il y a pas une escale quelque part ?????? Il me semble que les plus longs vols réguliers sont de l'ordre de 13H maxi...(je l'ai fait sur LAX/Séoul...)

Oui comme si nous de France on va en Australie ou Nouvelle Zélande, je l'ai fait ce voyage en 1999 c'est long après 12 heures tu commences en avoir marre .

Ben c'est possible, il y a même pire, a titre d'exemple le voyage (a ne pas faire) que j'ai accompli en novembre-decembre 2006 avec Kowait airline: GVA-BKK 19h avec 3h d'escale a Kowait City et 1 h d'attente a CDG, retour 21h avec 4 h d'escale a Kuwait city et toujours 1 h d'attente a Paris....même pas droit a une biere ou autre un remontant dans l'avion ni l'aeroport 🤪 l'enfer doit être proche de ca 🏴☠️

Salut, perso. j'ai entendu parler du N-Y- BKK en 18 heures mais on me l'a deconseillé (a raison je pense) car c vraiment long et a part si tu voyage en 1ere classe c la misere!!! Moi j'ai fait mtl-chicago-tokyo-bkk et franchement les escales font du bien ca permet de se degoudir les jambes ( a l'aller je suis meme rester 48 heures sur tokyo) je te conseille vivement un vol avec escale!!! Par contre j'aimerais savoir combien te coute ton Mtl-paris-bkk car j, en cherchait un (je suis originaire de Paris) et j'avoue que c, est pas mal plus cher. De Mtl le moins cher etant de passer par l, ouest.
P.S : petite correction N-Y - Bkk passe AUSSI par l'est!!!

Nous partons en Décembre avec Air Canada ( Mtl - Los Angeles - BKK) avec seulement une escale de 1:15 à LA. la portion LAX -BKK est avec Thai Airlines. Le retour BKK - Hong Kong (Thai Airlines) escale de 3 jrs à HK puis retour HK-Vancouver-MTL escale 3h20 à Vancouver. Malheuresemnt je fais le voyage avec mes points Aéroplan alors je ne peux te donner un prix exacte mais je crois que c'est $1, 500.

Il faut reprendre les valises, refaire une fouille complète, c'est archi long et possible de manquer la connexion. c'est ce qui est arrivé à mon frère qui est parti au Mexique.

J'ai fait le trajet Montreal - Asie du Sud Est "par les 2 bords". Montreal-Bangkok à 2 reprises via l'ouest et Montreal-Hanoi via l'est. Selon moi, les trajets étant tous les 2 très longs, ce qui peut faire la différence dans le choix: La compagnie aérienne, Le nombre et surtout la longueur des escales .
Enfin la chose la plus importante selon moi, mais qui est du ressort de la chance.....le nombre de passagers dans l'avion (occupation à 100% ou à 60% !) J'ai vécu les 2 et croyez moi, un avion à demi capacité pour un Toronto Hongkong avec une escale technique de 1hre à Anchorage sans pouvoir sortir de l'avion c'est beaucoup plus agréable si le siège voisin est libre... lol....

Personellement, je ne passerais pas par New York parce que : 17 h .... dans le même avion, c'est plus que déroutant (surtout qu'on ne sait jamais qui sera assis à nos côtés ou en arrière !!!) et parce que les douaniers à NYork sont là pour faire ch.......! Lors de mon premier voyage en Thaïlande, j'ai fait New York-Hong Kong en 14h30 et je ne suis dis, plus jamais !!! En plus, à mon retour, les douaniers m'ont fait raté mon vol pour Montreal car il faillait changer de terminal en plus ... bref, gros "power trip". En plus, c'est ton itinéraire le plus coûteux.
Si tu veux aller pas cher - le moins coûteux est avec japan airlines de Mtl à Chicago - Chicago à Hong Kong - Hong kong à BangkoK pour environ 1500 $ tout compris mais les segments de vol sont encore assez longs.
Avec Eva airways ( compagnie que je n'ai pas encore essayé), j'ai eu un prix de 1571 $ tout inclus pour un départ en octobre 07 et un retour en mars 08. L'itinéraire est de Montreal à Vancouver - Vancouver à Chiang Kai Shek en Taiwan - Taiwan à Bangkok.
Par l'Est, j'ai trouvé un vol avec Royal Jordan pour 1611 $ avec 2 segments = Mtl à Amman, Jordanie - Amman à Bangkok. MAIS aussi avec British Airways par Londres pour sensiblement le même prix 1689 $. Les vols par l'Europe sont moins dispendieux qu'il y a quelques années.
Je finis en te suggérant mon itinéraire préféré - alors Montreal à Vancouver 5-6 hrs (stop over si ça te tente) - Vancouver à Tokyo 8hrs - Tokyo à Bangkok 5-6 hrs. Le prix est de 1700 $. Par Séoul aussi c'est bien.

PS. - J'ai bien avoir une escale de 8 heures à Seoul l'an dernier (j'arrivais de Hanoi). Si tu as beaucoup de temps, ça te permet vraiment de te dégourdir les jambes et dormir sans stress en attendant le prochain avion.

Je suis d'accord avec Amsy, passe par l'ouest et un stop de 48 heures ou+ n'est vraiement pas un luxe je l'ai fait l'hiver passé, 4 jours a Hong Kong, tu recharges tes batteries, tu t'adaptes au décalage horaire, et tu es frais et dispo pour la Thailande.............

Quartier chinois une agence dont je me souvient plus le nom mais que j'avais trouvé sur ce forum!! En tout cas cela coute entre 1200 et 1500 dollars la plupart du temps avec all nippons airways qui est au passage une tres bonne compagnie, g cependant fait le voyage avec united airlines et c t correct. Par les US franchement aucun probleme surtout si tu est canadienne (je suis francais) tu ne reprend pas tes bagages et si tu ne sors pas de l'aeroport moi franchement g u aucun pbs.Si tu as d'autre question n'hesite surtout pas

salut, samedi dernier je me suis acheté un billet MTL-BKK chez TAI PAN à Montréal. 1390$ départ le 26sept (retour fixé fin décembre, mais billet ouvert sur 6mois sans pénalité si changement de date de retour). Le temps de vol de l'allé est de 18h tandis que le retour est de 21h (aucune idée pourquoi il y a une telle différence?).
C'Est par l'ouest ; MTL-VANCOUVER-TAPEI-BKK, premiere escale sous air canada et le reste avec EVA Airways.
Je ne connais pas vraiment EVA, mais l'agente m'a dit qu'habituellment c'est + chere (effectivement j'ai trouvé sur leur site la page qui parle de cette promotion de derniere minute des vols vancouver-ASIE : http://www.evaair.com/html/b2c/english/deals/America/PROMOTION_YVR_080901.htm) et que c'Est bon comme compagnie (je doute qu'elle m'aurait dit le contraire tout de même) .. de toute façon je cherchais seulement un 'prix'.

Je vais pouvoir vous dire à mon retour comment sont 15h15 dans la même avion. :o( Il faut voir ça comme une expérience. On va sûrement être bien content d'arrivée à Hong-Kong.

I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!

I didn’t plan to return to Thailand this year, but my health conditions mean it’ll be the best place for me to stay between two trips to India. The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before: - Is it possible to rent a car in Danang and drop it off in Hanoi?

Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees. Day 2 – Excursion to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, snorkeling at 3 islands. Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way). Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan. Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide). Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre. Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island. Day 10 – Head to Semporna. Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai. Day 15 – Bohey Dulang. Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous. I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing. I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture. But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary. If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.

For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. Sandakan → Sepilok: No app for this one—you just hop on bus #14 at the local terminal (pay cash on board). But where do I catch it, and where’s the stop??
Sandakan → Semporna: From what I’ve heard, it’s the Sida Express company (great name, right? 😄). Can’t book online, but apparently, you *have* to because there’s only one bus at 8 AM. Where do I board, and where does it drop me off?
Semporna → Tawau: Found this via AI—is it legit? No online booking, as far as I can tell. Minivans leave from a stop in the Jalan Hospital area, near the Milimewa supermarket, supposedly???? And when you arrive, does it drop you at **Sabindo Square** in Tawau?????

My girlfriend and I booked our tickets with Saudia Airlines for a trip to Thailand this summer, from July 5th to August 3rd. Given the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, we’re keeping a close eye on the news.
I was wondering if anyone here is in the same situation as us?
• Have you heard anything about possible mass cancellations or if the airline is still maintaining its routes to Asia?
• Are there any travelers who’ve recently returned who could tell us if air corridors have been changed (longer flight times)?
