I would’ve preferred to post this in the "Travel News" section, but it’s not open to new discussions. Still, this is definitely sensitive news directly related to travel.

"With growth twice as fast as the global economy, tourism has a heavy impact on climate balance. In this regard, aviation poses a specific challenge." (From Le Parisien with AFP)

Covid (I never wanted to say *that*, I would’ve felt sexist) was a huge success in the fight against overtourism.

Let’s just repeat the experiment with any available virus, and almost everyone will rush to visit vaccination centers and revisit their own homes or properties—somewhere like Trifouillis-les-Arbres, for example.

Then, let’s not forget that all ecology starts first and foremost with abstinence and/or contraception. Outside of that, there’s no hope. The rest is just a minor detail in history.

And look how vast the sky is—probably everything superfluous just escapes into the ether. Nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything transforms.

We French are becoming role models in this area, to the point that we’ve made most of our industries vanish. All that’s left is to convince the Americans, the Chinese, and the Indians to do the same.

Not sure cynicism and bad taste have a place in this discussion. Plus, dwelling on these issues isn’t likely to bring back those who are missing.

We French are becoming exemplary in this area, to the point that we’ve made most of our industries disappear. All that’s left is to convince the Americans, the Chinese, and the Hindus to do the same.

Are the other Indians already convinced?

Hello That actually seems reasonable in the end. Did they include maritime transport? When you see the monsters that are about to sail our seas...
