Mon "cas" est le suivant: Il y maintenant deux semaines j'ai mis un terme à mes études juridiques. Depuis, je suis en train de passer mon permis, mais parce que je compte faire quelque chose de mon avenir, j'ai cherché un stage au Etats-Unis. Maintenant, j'ai trouvé, et...chassez l'administration, elle vous rattrape au galop!
J'habite à Lyon, j'ai aperçu quelques autres messages sur internet qui parlaient de 1/2 mois de délais pour obtenir les fameux visas. Qu'en est-il réellement? Autre question à laquelle je pense maintenant: Puis-je aller en Suisse ou en Belgique pour obtenir ce visa? J'imagine que je peux me rendre dans un autre consulat Francais moins encombré, mais quid d'un consulat étranger...? En pratique, si j'appelle l'ambassade US de Bruxelles simplement pour savoir quel est le délai, devrais-je payer les 15€ de communication, etc?
Les visas B1/B2 sont des visas de tourisme permettant de rester plus que les 3mois prévus par le VWP (visa waiver program). Cela ne te conviens donc pas.
H3 je ne connais pas, je suppose que c'est un visa dependant du H1 qui ne correspond pas a priori non plus à ton cas.
Il existe un visa particulier pour les internships & trainings (soit les stages) appellé J1. Cela me semble plus convenir à ton projet mais je suis loin d'être un expert.
Seul hic pour obtenir ce genre de visa, il est quasi-obligatoire de passer par un organisme spécialisé (ce qui n'est bien evidemment pas gratuit) car ce sont les seuls autorisé à en délivré si j'ai bien compris.
Comme je l'ai indiqué dans un message récent regarde du côté du CIEE (http://www.ciee.org) et de leur partenaire français Parenthèse (http://www.parenthese-paris.com/).
Pour les visas en Belgique et en Suisse honnetement ca m'étonnerait, c'est un peu comme si tu demandais si tu pouvais aller faire faire ton passport là bas à mon sens ...
Bonne chance dans tes démarches ! Et bon courage aux USA surtout si tu n'es pas rémunéré (essaye de négocier que ton employeur te fournisse au moins un logement on ne sait jamais 😉)

En ce qui concerne la demande de visa, j'ai lu quelque part sur internet (malheureusement je n'ai pas noté sur quel site) que l'ambassade Américaine en France était tellement débordée que l'on pouvait faire sa demande de visa dans les pays limitrophes de la France, ou les pays Européens, je ne sais plus. Quoi qu'il en soit, le topic aboutissait sur le conseil d'adresser sa demande aux autorités consulaires US Belges. J'aurais aimé avoir confirmation et indications, ou experimentations.
Autre chose: j'aimerais avoir quelques récits de gens qui ont effectivement obtenu le visa J. Quelque chose me tourmente: comment ont-ils justifié qu'ils souhaitaient rentrer en France après la fin de validité du visa sollicité?

Pour les DS2019 moi je suis passé par CIEE qui s'est occupé de me fournir toute la paperasserie demandée, y compris ce DS2019, que j'ai ensuite transmis effectivement à mon employeur pour qu'ils le complètent.
J'ai mis 3 semaines à obtenir mon J1 mais c'était en 2003. A l'époque je n'ai meme pas eu d'entretien à l'ambassade, donc c'etait un peu différent. J'ai juste envoyé mon passeport et ils me l'ont renvoyé avec le visa imprimé dedans.
CIEE parle sur leur site d'un delais de 6 à 8 semaines max pour obtenir le visa.
Beaucoup de gens demandent des visas pour l'été donc je pense qu'en plein hiver tu es un peu hors saison par rapport à l'époque ou l'ambassade américaine est vraiment débordée. C'est tout ce que je peux te dire, je ne sais pas si c'est d'une réelle aide ...
J'ai été sur le site de ciee, dont tu as parlé tout à l'heure. Malheureusement, ils sont en train de le mettre à jour, je n'ai donc pas accès à toutes les infos.
Effectivement, le visa J semble s'imposer. J'ai trouvé le site de la chambre de coopération franco-américaine. Ils ne semblent pas poser de conditions trop restrictives. En revanche, sur un autre site que tu as passé tout à l'heure, j'ai cru lire que les postulant aux stages ne pouvaient effectuer celui ci qu'en certaines dates (en gros: l'été). Ce qui expliquerait pourquoi il y a moins de monde à demander le visa J en hiver... 😉
Hmmm, c'est bizarre que ce soit que l'été. Dans mon souvenir il y a divers programmes: Jobs d'été, internships et trainings. Je ne pense pas que les 2 derniers soit soumis à des conditions particulières de dates, ils sont probablement restreint par contre à des types de cursus particuliers.

M'étant orienté vers la catégorie "Work and Travel - USA" j'avais retenu cette période estivale. C'est probablement aussi à cause d'une erreur d'aiguillage sur les autres sites visités que j'ai vu 2/3 fois cette limite temporelle.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
