voila j'envisage de partir m'installer au mexique quelques moi histoire d'apprendre la langue.
J'aimerais mettre de l'argent de côté histoire de ne pas me prendre la tête pour trouver un travail la bas.
Donc voila, à votre avis, de combien aurai-je besoin pour pouvoir vivre confortablement la bas pour disons...six-sept mois?

La première question est de savoir où tu envisages de rester. En fait, Playa Del carmen, Cozumel et Cancun sont les 3 endroits où c'est le plus cher à vivre. Est-ce que tu veux prendre un appartement là-bas? Si c'est le cas, tu dois prévoir environ 2500 pesos par mois et plus pour un appartement qui a du sens. Pour ce qui est de la nourriture, si tu fais une épicerie à chaque semaine dans les trois endroits que je t'ai mentionnés, il faut prévoir environ 300 pesos si tu veux bien manger. Si tu voyages en collectivo, un genre d'autobus blanche qui fais plusieurs arrêts, tu dois payer entre 5 et 6 pesos pour le passage. Si tu as d'autres questions, n'hésites pas à communiquer avec moi.

Moi je crois qu'avec 6000 pesos par mois tu peux assez bien vivre. Le gars qui t'a répondu que c'était impossible croyait que je parlais de 300 pesos pour 6 mois de nourriture. Quelque chose comme ça car il m'a écrit et il n'a pas bien lu mon message du tout. Ce qui est en fait 300 à 400 pesos par semaine qu'il faut prévoir. Mais bon ça c'est moi. Pour ce qui est de Tijuana, j'aimerais bien t'aider, mais je n'y ai jamais mis les pieds. Désolée, j'ai vu Mérida par contre et c'est une ville bien accueillante qui bouge beaucoup et don l'architecture est magnifique. Je te souhaite un bon voyage.

Mon loyer me coûtait 2 500 pesos par mois. le bail d'un an n'existe pratiquement pas au Mexique. Donc avantageux. Il était quand même assez bien. Beau, propre, mais un peu petit. Et c'était à Playa del Carmen. Un des trois endroits qui coûtent le plus chers au mexique. Bonne chance

Me voilà de retour de Cuba après avoir de peu échappé à l'ouragan. Pour répondre à votre question, en ce qui me concerne, il a été assez facile de trouver pour moi un travail. Cependant, vous devez savoir que les hôtelliers ou restaurants vont exiger que vous parliez un espagnol assez fonctionnel et normalement égalemement que vous parliez l'anglais. Pour travailler de façon légale, vous devrez alors vous procurez un visa de travail qui demandera que vous passiez un examen de langue anglaise et espagnol dans une école reconnue là-bas en plus de bien d'autres exigeances. Si vous avez d'autres questions n'hésitez pas.
Mes dépenses se sont élevées à 300 pesos/jour pendant mon séjour, hormis le loyer qui me coutait 6000 pesos/mois.
Un bel appart ( 1 CAC), terrasse sur le toit et piscine creusée mais pas de climatisation ( on s'y fait et tant qu'à moi, préférable...)
À 300 pesos par jour, on vit bien et on peut se permettre quelques extravagances occasionnelles.
Total: 15, 000 pesos / mois.
NB: j'ai vu des apparts à 2500-3000 pesos le mois mais dans mon cas, j'aurais déprimer solide dans ces endroits... on a beau dire que l'on vit dehors mais dans mon cas, y'a un standard minimal auquel je démords pas.
Je compte peut-être y retourner pour un autre 2 mois cet hiver ( mi-février).
je parle anglais mais pas espagnol est ce que selon vous cela peut etre un obstacles pour moi afin de trouver un poste en hotellerie restauration.

Le fait que vous ne parliez pas espagnol peut être un obstacle pour certains endroits. Cependant, je vous conseillerais de chercher un travail dans les bars puisque vous parlez anglais et non espagnol. Au sujet du visa de travail (si vous voulez travaillez légalement), c'est votre employeur là-bas qui doit faire les démarches. Cependant, vous devez lui procurez une copie de votre visa touristique (valable 3 mois), un original de votre résultat d'examen de langues, une copie de vos résultats de votre dernière fréquentation scolaire, votre certificat de naissance, une copie complète de votre passeport...Il y a peut-être des éléments dont je ne me souviens pas. Je suis désolée pour le temps que j'ai pris à te répondre. Le retour de Cuba a été plus dur que je croyais. J'ai été clouée au lit par un gros rhume. Me revoilà après je ne sais combien de temps à dormir. Pour répondre à tes questions, je ne me souviens pas du nom de l'école de langue pour passer l'examen. Mais de toute façon, si je ne m'abuse, il n'y a qu'une seule école à Playa del Carmen. Les gens pourront facilement vous donner la direction. L'examen de langue est un examen oral. On vous parle en espagnol et en anglais et vous devez répondre dans la même langue. Vous trouverez à cet endroit plusieurs professeurs de langues qui parlent anglais, français et espagnol. l'examen dure très peu de temps. Lorsque vous vous terminez, ils vous donnent un certificat qui mentionne votre degré de passage. Malheureusement, je ne me souviens pas des frais pour passer cet examen. Le visa de travail est normalement bon pour 1 an. Il peut être renouvellé, mais je ne connais pas les modalités. Je n'ai pas de contact à vous fournir. J'aurais bien aimé vous aider sur ce point, mais l'hôtel ou je travaillais a changé de fonction. Si vous le désirez, vous pouvez m'écrire en privé. Je vous souhaite bonne chance dans vos démarches.
J'habite présentement au Mexique, précisément à Morelia. Ca nous coute à moi et mon copain 8000 pesos par mois et croyez moi on vit très bien. Moi je suis partie avec 2500 dollars canadien pour 6 mois. Je compte bien trouver du boulot. Morelia n'est pas aussi touristique que playa del carmen ou Merida, donc dans ces villes ils y a plus de chance de trouver du boulot si tu parle anglais et espagnol, MAIS, tu dois t'attendre à payer plus cher pour le loyer par contre. Ici a Morelia, mon 4 1/2 me coute 2000 pesos. J'imagine qu'à Cancun tu dois payer plus cher.
Mais bon... voilà!

j'ai payé une assurance du canada pour 6 mois assurance complète de base pour 300$ canadien
ici au mexique mon cellulaire me coute 100 pesos pour 1 mois, c'est une carte d'appel. J'appel pas souvent donc ca me coute pas cher.
J'utilise davantage internet, avec mon voisin d'en dessous on se partage internet, donc ca me coute 100 pesos par mois d'internet illimité.
Pour la nourriture, ca nous coute à 2 600 pesos par semaine, donc pour une persone 300 pesos. il faut multiplier par 4 pour un mois, donc 2400 pesos par mois de nourriture pour 2.
J'ai pas de voiture, l'autobuse me mène ou j'ai besoin et il y en a tout le temps. Ca coute 5 pesos à chaque fois que tu prends le bus.

je planifie partir 1 mois au Mexique avec mon fils de 10 ans en juillet. Je lisais ton message où tu indiques que tu es partie pour 6 mois avec seulement $2500., alors dis moi, j'avais prévu pour 4 semaines un budget d'environ $2000.00, alors si je me fis aux réponses faites sur le budget, je pourrais facilement très bien vivre avec $2000.00 pour les dépenses -hotel, nourriture, visites ... etc... ou bien j'aurais besoin de plus de budget? J'ai l'intention d'aller visiter la région du Yugatan, si tu as des ''in'' à me donner, ils sont les bienvenus. Je me suis procurée le livre de loonely planet et une carte pour établir mon itinéraire sauf que je ne suis pas vraiment fixée encore, j'en suis à mes premières démarches.

Par contre une fois sur place nous avons déménager dans un autre appartement que nous avons trouvé dans les journeaux. Pour ce qui est du Budget de 2000$ pour 4 semaines avec ton fils de 10 ans en juillet dans le Yucatan, c'est difficile a dire. Cela dépends dans quel genre d'hotel tu vas habiter? Le Yucatan est un lieu touristique donc un peu plus cher. Je te propose d'habiter dans des auberges de jeunesse, ce qui te coutera moins cher au niveau hotellier. Selon moi, 2000 c'est peu pour un voyage touristique, moi je suis venu 6 mois avec 2500, mais dans le but d'habiter ici, ce que je fais depuis 8 mois! et non de dépensé dans le tourisme.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
