"La multiplication des sites web participatifs aura eu le mérite de créer de nouveaux métiers dans l'univers du voyage. Celui de « menteur rémunéré et encouragé » vient de naître. D'autres sont dans les cartons.
Si l'on en croit la presse informatique américaine, « l'adverposting » serait en train de connaître ses heures de gloire. L'adverposting ? Vous ne connaissez pas ? C'est l'art d'écrire de vrais faux témoignages sur des sites sensés recueillir, de façon indépendante l'avis des internautes. Une sorte de publicité (advertising) intelligemment postée (post).
Le principe est simple. Un voyagiste confie à une entreprise d'adverposting le soin d'assurer une veille permanente sur les sites participatifs les plus fréquentés par les voyageurs et de poster des réponses très favorables au tour opérateur de client. Mais attention, il faut de la finesse pour que le témoignage ne fasse pas bidon. Il faut laisser de la faute d'orthographe (pas la peine de dire que l'on pourrait bien faire ce boulot) et parler «peuple» pour donner du crédit aux témoignages. Enfin, il faut éviter les superlatifs et savoir glisser un ou deux inconvénients dont tout le monde se fout. C'est simple, bien payé et les jobs sont nombreux.
Si l'on en croit les journalistes high-tech, c'est même ce qui va tuer le participatif sur internet. Mais rassurez-vous, les idées d'arnaques ne manquent pas. Voilà que l'on parle du commentaire assisté. Une sorte de faux témoignage apporté par de vrais comédiens sur les plateaux de télévision ou les studios de radio.

Il semblerait que VF, tout au moins pour la zone qui me concerne, y échappe, avec difficulté certes, mais par rapport à des forums concurrents moins bien maitrisés, c'est le must.
Il suffit de voir la guerre des riads et des agences sur le forum Routard Maroc, de voir la médiocrité des témoignages c'est consternant! .
Il y a beaucoup plus de publicités non déguisées que de vrais faux témoignages.
Par contre, as tu des adresses pour etre rétribué ? (en MP naturellement)
Je suis tout nouveau sur ce forum, mais je le pratique souvent et il me semble que les quelques messages publicitaire disparaissent vite-fait, bien-fait et c'est tant mieux ! Il y a un espace publicitaire sur ce forum et les créateurs ont tout interet d'etre vigilants pour ne pas mettre " la clé sous la porte " .
J'y ai pensé récement mais au sujet des sites d'hotels, les commentaires des clients peuvent facilement être falsifiés.
Par contre sur le forum, à part le nom des guesthouses, je vois pas trop...Genre Rajesh qui tient une guesthouse à 200 roupies à Bharatpur ferait appel à une société adverposting pour faire la promo de sa chambre 24/24 super deluxe (eau chaude sur demande). J'y crois pas trop ici.
Heu je suis intéressé aussi par des adresses pour faire de l'adverposting (rémunéré va sans dire...)

L'avantage de passer par une agence était au début d'éviter de se faire repérer bêtement par son IP "je suis client du Club Med et je poste d'une IP du Club Med à Paris" so strange...
Effectivement c'est aux webmasters de surveiller les forums. Car à moins de confier cette tâche à pluiseurs agences, ça finit toujours par se voir, si "15 clients différents" font des commentaires favorables en postant tous avec la même IP, il peut y avoir un doute ;) Mais ça se voit au niveau des gestionnaires du forum, pas à celui des participants.
je ne doute pas, , mais en ce qui concerne VF il est bien protéger par le personnel, , tout est lu et du 24 h sur 24 😉, c'est en cela qui en fait un forum bien vivant, , des que il y a quelqu'un qui a cherche chose a vendre, HOP il est mis a la trappe, ,

Il me semble que le profil et l'historique des messages sont un atout et un outil important ; on ne poste pas aussi anonymement sur Vf que sur certains de ses concurrents, et des propos laudatifs envers une société de la part d'un nouveau venu seront vus avec circonspection.....
Euh... je parlais pas de VF ou d'un autre forum en particulier mais d'une pratique qui se développe(ra) de plus en plus. Et pas que dans le secteur du tourisme, ni même que du commerce d'ailleurs, vu que ça touche déjà pas mal un domaine comme la politique (surtout actuellement avec les élections).
Ensuite c'est sûr que c'est pas la petite guest à 200 Rps qui va faire cela. A grande échelle ça concerne les (très) grosses structures (TO, chaîne hôtelières, aérien, croisièristes...).
Et quand c'est bien fait ça passe comme une lettre à la poste !
Déjà, il y a des thématiques dans les forums (pas que dans VF je précise) qui s'y prêtent très bien, du genre "tout inclus", "croisières" ou accessoirement "aérien". Contrairement par exemple aux thématique pays/régions, les discussions y tournent d'abord et surtout sur les prestations des professionnels. C'est ce que demandent les visiteurs et c'est aussi d'ailleurs ce qui est souvent indiqué en descriptif de ces thématiques. Donc, il est très facile d'y glisser un petit commentaire élogieux.
Mais même pour les espaces "destinations", ce n'est finalement pas très compliqué.
C'est sûr qu'un post avec "Machin est le meilleur" partira vite à la poubelle. Par contre, si l'on dit par exemple "j'ai acheté mon billet chez Truc Voyage, j'ai eu un pb avant le départ (l'angoisse de bcp !) mais Truc Voyage m'a très bien arrangé l'affaire" (on développe légèrement) et que l'on ajoute quelques autres choses qui n'ont rien à voir avec Truc Voyage histoire de diluer un peu, ça passera sans problème. Qui plus est le côté "y avait un problème et ils me l'ont solutionner" fera plus crédible et valorisera d'autant plus le prestataire (enfin un qui se soucie de ses clients !). Et l'on peut faire la même chose pour des hôtels, compagnies, etc.
Un truc que Vacances pratique aurait pu développer c'est que les "adverposteur" ne font pas que mettre en avant tel ou tel prestataire. Ils sont aussi là pour casser les concurrents en appliquant la même méthode de "vrais faux témoignages". Ce qui passe en général encore plus facilement.
Dernière chose, leur boulot est aussi de cliquer sur les liens payants de leurs concurrents histoire de leur faire débourser pour rien un maximum d'argent...
Quant au repérage (via l'IP), il existe des logiciels qui permettent de faire tourner l'IP d'un ordi; ce qui complique pas mal la détection. Donc, une personne de chez elle peut multiplier les messages (faut aussi changer les pseudos c'est vrai et varier les contenus).
C'est clair que vu comme cela ça fait un peu "gagne petit", voire artisanal, mais à la longue je pense que ça peut porter ses fruits.
Et de toute manière vu que ça nous vient des USA et que des gens sont payés pour ça, le système a bien dû être étudié et rôdé avant d'être lancé (au moins pour ça on peut leur faire confiance aux américains).
Sinon, je n'ai pas d'adresse pour devenir adverposteur...
Sur VF (le nôtre) çà raccole pas mal aussi...
Forum Costa Rica entre autre, avec celui qui veut absolument que tu ailles à Turrialba .."the must" et qui veut ensuite te fourguer une location de voiture pas plus avantageuse que chez un autre loueur. Tu as aussi une petite rusée qui te vante à longueur de post les merveilles de "Greccia"..... tous des pros. pourvoyeurs de bons conseils.......... tant mieux pour eux si des gogos marchent dans leur combine.
Ils ne sont pas les seuls d'ailleurs.... Guadeloupe : idem, avec ceux qui connaissent les bonnes adresses !!!!!!!!!!! et tous ces gus tu les retrouve sur tous les forums de voyage....... c'est leur bizness !!!
C'est aussi à nous de faire du ménage, dès qu'une pub est lancée sur un topic, nous nous devons de la signaler au webmaster, c'est facile suffit de faire un clic sur "signaler ce massage", je le fais régulièrement (enfin quand c'est une pub) et en principe le message part très vite.
Je me suis joint au site hier et étant en repos maladie, j’ai beaucoup lu pour me familiariser avec le site. Et justement une personne demandait pour des hôtels à prix réduits ou bon marché par rapport à la qualité prix pour les États-Unis. J’ai justement trouvé 9 chaînes d’hôtel associé ensemble ayant un site Internet commun. Et j’ai justement pensé que répondre par le forum çà sonnerait comme si je travaillais pour eux. Ils ont 4000 hôtels dans le monde, sur le site de voyage forum il y a des milliers de personnes qui lire les articles et un nouveau client pour un commerce eux regarde à long terme.
La réponse pour la personne qui avait posé la question, dans un cas similaire devrait presque ment être adressé à elle seule ce qui pourrait aller à l’encontre du but du site ou à travers des contrôleurs du site. Une idée seulement.

entre parenthese, enfin un metier qui met en valeur les photes d ortografes.

Comme j'ai mentionné dans mon message: Je débute sur le site Voyage Forum et je ne suis pas sûr de ce que je peux mentionner ou pas. Mais moi aussi c'est un sujet qui me préoccupe parce que j'adore les voyages et que je suis à regarder différent possibilité de voyage. Je prend ma retraite dans 2 ans et nous avons un très bon montant d'argent que nous avons décidé de consacrer seulement pour des voyages. D'ou mon intéret pour les meilleurs coûts/qualité pour des chambres, billets avions, croisière etc. donc je fais beaucoup de recherche sur internet. Ce qui est nouveau pour moi l'internet depuis 5 ans environ.
Sur le site VF il y a des annonces commerciales pour différents voyages et compagnies.
Mon message antérieur était à l'effet que je suis plus familier avec le Canada et un peu les U.S. mais je ne connais à peu près rien de l'Europe ( ou je désire aller un jour ) d'ici c'est plus facile de parler de chez nous. :-) mais ex. pour le Camboge je devrais sortir une mappe du monde parce que je ne sais précisément pas ou c'est.
Alors comment choisir les bons hôtels ou compagnie de transport etc., ce n'est pas évident du tout. Pour moi et pour beaucoup, énormément de voyageurs allant à un endroit nouveau pour eux.
Ici aussi c'est très dure de savoir si une compagnie ou voyagiste est de confiance ou pas si c'est des vendeurs de coins de rue ou une grosse compagnie. Avec l'Internet là est le problème, si le site de la compagnie est bien fait on peut à tort penser que c'est bien une compagnie fiable ou pas.
Peux-être qu'il pourrait avoir une section sur le site VF pour seulement qualifier de 1 à 5 la qualité des hotels, compagnie de vente de voyages, compagnies de transport, reataurants, etc. ainsi avec des évaluations de milliers de membres du site nous pourrions nous aider à faire de meilleurs choix lors d'achats prochains, seulement une idée qu'en pensez-vous ?

ou alors tu fais des regroupements, une compagnie est bien critique sur ce site. par une personne par exemple. soit tu cherche d autres commentaires. si plusieurs personnes se mettent d accord c est deja bon signe.
il existe des sites de reservations de chambres d hotels comme hostelworld.
les internautes donnent leur avis. tu as trip advisor aussi.

de plus si une compagnie emploie les stratagemes dont tu parle, cela ne veut pas dire qu elle soit mauvaise. elle peut etre tres bonne.
c est une strategie marketing mais ca ne dit pas que le produit est mauvais.
si tu regarde le site aussi par exemple
quelqu un peut te conseiller de partir avec telle compagnie qui l a satisfaite mais un autre peut te dire le contraire.
c est comme pour le cinema. tu peux aimer un film et pas ta femme.

si le site ne reagis pas lance toi meme des messages pour faire noter les endroits qui te plaisent.
si tu as des doutes sur une compagnie, tu verras vite les reactions.
tu pourras alors te faire un avis comme quand tu choisi un film a regarder.
c est pareil si tu vas dans une agence de voiage, il faut faire confiance au voiagiste.
il est la pour conseiller mais aussi vendre.
Pour l'instant nous devons laisser certaines circonstances atteindre leur conclusions pour que de notre part nous puissions faire nos prochains choix de voyage..... Mais c'est sûr que dans l'année à venir nous aurons à faire plusieurs voyages.

Dans le meme ordre d'idée, il y a les faux "vrais faux témoignages", le ou la monomaniaque, qui va depuis 20 ans dans la meme destination, dans le meme hotel, qui connait tous les animateurs, les menus, les excursions et qui en fait des tonnes, on croirait lire le mauvais stagiaire chargé de la comm, voir les péripéties "hotel Odyssée".

En fait l'art de faire de l'adverposting est très nuancé et difficile à démasquer.
Il y a des méssages mitigés du genre : "Malgrès un service lent, les plats sont de qualités et gastronomique ect ...." "Meme si les enfants n'ont pas aimé les animations, l'hotel est correct et propose une très belle piscine".
Bref .....

I’m a teacher in Creuse, working in a ULIS program (which welcomes children aged 6 to 12 with disabilities into a mainstream school). This year, I’m starting a school journal project that will involve the kids in many different topics. A big part of the journal will focus on opening up to the world, diversity, travel, countries, culture...
I’m launching a call to invite as many of you as possible to send us a little postcard (from France or anywhere in the world!) to take us on a journey and help us discover new places, countries, and horizons—much more fun and exciting than a regular geography textbook! One section of our journal could be called "We received mail from " and would be an opportunity to research that location and share what we learn with our readers (a super enriching activity in class).
The project starts in September 2025 but has no real end date, as this journal and world discovery initiative will span several school years (the kids stay in my ULIS program for multiple years). Postcards can be sent anytime—throughout the year, across seasons, even during holidays! (The kids will find them when they return.)
I hope this idea appeals to as many of you as possible and that you’ll spread the word to your fellow traveler friends. Make us dream, take us on a journey!!!

I just discovered a great show on Arte.
It's called "7 en route": seven young European journalists travel around Europe in a fully converted bus, making reports on every city they visit. It's amazing! 🙂
Yesterday, for example, they were in Rome, Italy, and the reports included things like the world's smallest restaurant—a super romantic spot for two. There was also a report on the king of paparazzi in Italy.
They have to pick topics that let us discover the little quirks of each country. And at the end of each episode, we get to see the finished report.
It's such a great show, mixing journalism, travel, and discovery—basically, a must-watch!

After a quarter without dragging my slippers around here, even though I’d loudly declared I had no interest left in this site, here I am again!
My imagination never stays fallow for long. Just enough time for my inner land to rest. It gets overgrown with fresh nettles, the kind you can pick without getting stung. Then, it’s time to till the fragrant earth and let the story grow.
I hesitated over where to set this story.
Maybe the Highlands, maybe the Hebrides, maybe the Orkney Islands, maybe the Shetland Islands. All of Scotland is myth—easy to embroider.
But in the end, no. I’d almost be too afraid to bare my soul.
The story will take place at home. Simple, practical.

This morning, I was up well before dawn, feeling a bit grumpy, but nothing a bowl of coffee won’t fix. I love my bowl, and no one dares take it. It’s porcelain, edged with intertwined blue flowers. On the bottom, it says "Revol." The factory has existed long before the Revolution. It was my great-grandmother’s bowl. She drank roasted barley from it during the war, then her Leroux chicory.
Last year, a little guy dropped it. My bowl broke into three pieces. A black anger vibrated deep inside me. The little boy was so upset, on the verge of tears. How could I scold him!
I picked up the three pieces and took Little Boy in my arms. His hair smelled of the light, sweet sweat of toddlers. A gentle hug that healed—his budding sorrow and my anger—everything vanished, and time carried on.
Today, my bowl is even prettier. Man fixed it using the traditional kintsugi technique, except he didn’t use gold powder or lacquer but superglue, and he delicately painted the cracks with woad blue. And my bowl is even more beautiful now.
I’m lingering, I can tell—it’s just that a story wraps itself in life, and life can’t be told in the snap of a finger. Life is long. Like in architecture, you start with a rough sketch, called a "sous-cul" (the initial pencil drawing), then you make a tracing, which is the work itself, the one you later carefully roll up in a wooden tube.
Life is like that: you erase, you start over, you use the nub of the pencil until it’s tiny, but you keep going—dreaming, loving.

On this forum, we talk a lot about trekking in the Himalayas, but I’d love to share another side of Nepal: its spiritual, cultural, and religious atmosphere, especially in Kathmandu.
Nepal, much like Tibet and Bhutan, is deeply connected to the Himalayas—the ultimate sacred mountain range. This small country exudes a calming vibe, shaped by a strong spiritual dimension. What I loved most was the unique sensory experience you get there. Walking around temples and tantric monasteries, a distinct scent fills the air—aromatic plants used for ritual fumigation. Locals mainly burn Himalayan juniper, cedar, sandalwood, and other local essences. This fragrant smoke is a way to purify the space and reach the deities, and you’re constantly enveloped in these aromas.
Another striking aspect is the sound. As soon as you step outside, you hear bells ringing in front of temples. People ring them three times before praying to announce their presence to the deities. Nepal is also the birthplace of singing bowls and sound meditation practices. In Kathmandu, you can easily find meditation sessions or "sound baths."
The spiritual dimension is everywhere: a Hindu sadhu practicing asceticism, a lama in deep red robes with his mala, turning a prayer wheel while murmuring "Om mani padme hum." Newar Buddhism, Tantrism, and Hinduism coexist harmoniously in daily life.

Like many others, I’m overjoyed to hear that VoyageForum is reopening! I’ve been waiting hopefully for this, and it’s wonderful that it’s finally happening!
I just couldn’t bring myself to actively participate in other French-language travel forums—their format and way of doing things never appealed to me as much. I really hope that VF’s structure, categories, and interface won’t change too much despite the handover, because I’m very attached to them. Through thick and thin, the site has held strong—it’s amazing!

I’m planning a 3-week trip to Japan in May with Voyage Privé. The package includes a 5 GB eSIM, but my phone isn’t new enough to support it. VP told me I could buy a SIM card when I arrive at the airport.
Sure enough, I’ve seen online that this is possible with different providers.
I only need it for checking routes, looking up addresses, train schedules, etc.—basically using Google Maps, TripAdvisor, and similar apps. No heavy downloads or major internet use. All hotels should provide free Wi-Fi for that, right?
Has anyone got any tips for me on this? What have you tried, and how much did it cost?

I wanted to share a really unpleasant experience from our last trip booked with Promoséjours and organized by FTI.
We booked an 8-day/7-night stay in Egypt, from June 8 to 15.
The flight initially scheduled was changed a week before departure to take off at 10 PM from Paris CDG.
In the end, it took off with a 1-hour delay and included an unmentioned stopover in Marsa Alam.
We landed in Hurghada at 4 AM and arrived at the hotel at 6 AM.
So, we spent our first night on the plane.
For the return trip, surprise—the flight was moved up. We left the hotel at 10:30 PM on Friday the 14th to take off at 2 AM and land at 7 AM at Paris CDG.
So, we spent our last night on the plane too.
After sending a complaint letter to Promoséjours / FTI, they replied that the first and last days can be dedicated to transport (which I already knew) and that no matter how many nights you book, you’re not guaranteed to spend them in the hotel—it could just as well be on the plane.
I’m really questioning this.
Isn’t there a law that protects customers in cases like this?
Because when I do the math, the first and part of the second day were spent on transport, same for the second-to-last and last day. And I paid for 7 nights for a stay that only lasted 5.
Anyway, I just want to say thanks to them—thanks to their two sleepless nights in transit, I’m coming back even more exhausted from a trip that was supposed to be restful!
I also want to warn anyone booking through this agency about visas for Egypt.
At booking, they told me the visa was included in the price, then they sent me an email saying I’d have to pay for it on-site at 25 €.
Once there, we were directed to a special line for FTI customers, and guess what? They charged us 30 €!
Basically, they’re great at making sure you *enjoy* your vacation—mostly by enjoying your wallet!
If anyone has dealt with this kind of situation and won their case, I’m all ears.

So I thought I’d get a Thai SIM card to use Google Maps for getting around cities, mostly.
Here’s my question: will this SIM affect my apps? Or will they work the same as with my Orange SIM?
Is there any setup I need to do, or can I just pop in the Thai SIM?
I’d also like to switch back to my Orange SIM now and then while I’m in Thailand—on the same phone. Will I need to reset the phone, or will it reconnect without any issues?

I’m reaching out to all travelers and globe-trotters on this forum. I’m a teacher in Creuse working in a ULIS program (which welcomes children aged 6 to 12 with disabilities into a mainstream school). This year, I’m launching a school journal project that will involve the kids in many different topics. A big part of this journal will focus on opening up to the world, embracing differences, travel, global cultures, and more.
I’m putting out a call to invite as many of you as possible to send us a postcard (from France or anywhere in the world)! The goal is to help us "travel" and discover new places, countries, and horizons in a way that’s much more fun and exciting than a geography textbook. One section of our journal could be called "We received a letter from ," where we’d research the location and share what we learn with our readers—a really enriching activity for the classroom.
The project starts in September 2025 but doesn’t have a strict end date, since this journal and world-discovery initiative will span several school years (the kids stay in the ULIS program for multiple years). Postcards can be sent anytime—throughout the year, across seasons, even during holidays! The kids will find them when they return.
I hope this idea appeals to as many of you as possible, and that you’ll spread the word to your fellow travelers. Help us dream and explore!

Here’s the thing: during our trip there in April, we discovered a jewelry artisan (highly recommended!) on the left when exiting through the west exit of Nishiki Market (which is a long covered east-west street). I bought a piece of jewelry for my daughter there, but she lost it. I’d love to buy her another one!
