Je vous soumets donc mon ébauche d'itinéraire puis des questions suivront J1 : arrivée à Hanoi à 16 h J2 et J3 : Hanoi J4 : Baie d Halong J5 TRajet Baie Halong / tam coc j6 Tam coc + train de nuit pour hué J7 Hué J8 hué J9 Hué/ hoi an par la route ??? J 10 à J 18 Hoi an puis séjour plage pour moi, mon compagnon retourne en France à J14 J19 retour sur Hanoi J 20 Hanoi, retour en France

Je désire absolument faire un séjour balneaire et comme je serai seule pendant ce séjour, je ne souhaite pas être isolée sur une ile , donc l'idée d'être proche d'activités me plait.

Ma 1er question concerne le J5, peut on rejoindre facilement Tam coc depuis la baie d'Halong ? Est ce que c'est faisable en voiture privée, et combien de temps prend le trajet ? Je n'ai aucune idée des distances et surtout de la rapidité des transports. D'autre part, comme je vais rester pas mal de temps sur Hoi an, j'aimerai découvrir la région en sortant un peu des sentiers.

2 amis et moi même partons au Vietnam du 22 novembre au 13 décembre 2019, c'est notre 1er voyage dans ce beau pays et il faut essayer de contenter tout le monde.Nous souhaitons faire un voyage en itinérance et éviter au maximum les touristes (même si je sais qu'on en rencontrera forcément). Je recherche des suggestions sur l'itinéraire, les modes de transport que nous avons projeté. L'itinéraire que nous souhaitons faire est le suivant : 1/ Arrivé à hanoi le 23/11 et visite du 23 PM au 24/11 soir 2/ Départ en bus 10h30 le 25/11pour visiter la baie de Lan Ha via Cat Ba(bus-mini bus et ferry) 25-27/11 : Baie de Lan Ha (nuit sur une jonque) 27/11 soir : départ de Cat Ba pour Sapa (nous hésitons a faire la province Ha giang mais il faut compter 5 jrs) , visite des villages ethnique et le 01/12 : marché de Bac Ha (nous ommes à la recherche d'un guide francophone pour visiter ces villages et dormir chez l'habitant). 01/12 soir : Départ de Lao Cai jusqu'à Ninh Binh et visite de la Baie d'Along terrestre du 02/12 au 04/12 04/12 soir :train jusqu'à Hué arrivée le 05/12 visite de la ville 06/12 Départ de Hué pour Hoi An (du 06/12 au 07/12 visite de Hoi an) 08/12 matin : Départ de Da nang en avion pour Can Tho et visite avec guide du delta du 08 au 11/12 11/12 soir retour sur HCMV et visite de la ville le 12/12 13/12 : Départ pour la France Qu'en pensez vous? Nous souhaitons vraiment faire la visite des villages ethniques, de la baie d'along terrestre et du delta du Mékong (Hanoi-Baie d'Along-Province de Sapa-Baie d'along terrestre-Hué-Hoi An-Delta du Mkg-HCMV). Est il gênant de porter un pantalon style treillis camouflage lors d'un voyage au Vietnam, Laos et Cambodge, tant en ville qu'à la campagne (et éventuellement visiter des temples vêtus ainsi)? Bonjour à tous, Je me casse la tête sur comment organiser nos journées libres sans agence à Hoi An et Hué. A Hoi An, nous serons 2 jours et nuits au Hoi An Chic. J’avais pensé visiter la vieille ville un matin tôt. Est ce qu’une visite à pied avec un guide local nous permettrait de mieux apprécier la ville? Par la suite, quoi faire: tous les groupes organisés semblent faire le même type de visites des villages et boutiques d’artisans en vélo...Le vélo, ça nous plairait bien mais je ne veux pas me rendre dans les endroits les plus touristiques... Et la plage, il y en a une qui est mieux dans le coin, propre et pas trop bondée ou bruyante? Nous serons à Hoi An en mars, un mardi et mercredi.

Idem pour Hué. Nous y serons presque 2 jours complets, car prenons le train de nuit pour Ninh Binh à 21h30. Par contre, nous y sommes un vendredi et samedi... Les agences proposent toute la visite de la citadelle ET des tombeaux (2-3) dans la même excursion. On aurait voulu faire ce type de visites sur les 2 jours, prendre plus notre temps pour les visites et en faire une visite de toute une journée en combinant bateau, ou vélo.. On pourrait visiter alors la citadelle et cité interdite par nous- mêmes le lendemain ou doit on aussi prendre un tour guidé avec une agence ?

Avez vous le nom d’une agence locale intéressante pour ce type de visites ? Des suggestions? On va prendre 1 journée en plus avec chauffeur entre Hoi An et Hué pour aller visiter My Son, musée Cham à Danan, montagne de marbre...

Hello, We’ll arrive in Hanoi on April 17, 2025, and plan to head to the Northwest (Sapa region) and Northeast starting on April 20. How many days do you recommend for this trip? We’re two couples and a 4-year-old child. Should we book through an agency in Hanoi and do the circuit by van, or can we manage with buses—like an overnight bus from Hanoi to Sapa, then 2–3 days in the Sapa region, followed by a bus from Sapa to Ha Giang for a 3-day loop? Des recommendations ? Mieux vaut Booker sur place ou via une Agence à Hanoi ? (j'ai trouvé une pour 135$ 2 jours 1 Nuit depuis Hanoi. Deuxième chose j'aimerai faire les montagnes au nord autour de HakGiang dont 2 jours à Sapa) pour environ 5 jours. Des recommendations ? Est-ce faisable en bus ? Hello everyone, We’re heading to Vietnam for 14 nights over the Christmas holidays as a family of four—I haven’t booked anything yet. I’d love your insights on Halong Bay (or Lan Ha Bay). We’re torn between going or not and spending an extra night in Ninh Binh (or somewhere else you’d recommend! Somewhere with a more picturesque vibe) given the late-December weather and cost (which agency do you recommend?). The upside might be that we’ll be there during the low season, so maybe fewer tourists? (Even though it’d be New Year’s Eve night.) Hi everyone, We have a chance to stop in Hanoi on our way from Japan back to France. We arrive on Tuesday, May 12th around 2 PM and leave for France on Saturday, May 16th around 10 PM. I’d like to do a 2-day cruise in Halong Bay or Lan Ha Bay, then either 2 days in Ninh Binh or 1 day. - 12/05: Hanoi - 13/05: cruise - 14/05: end of cruise and head to Tam Coc - 15/05: sightseeing - 16/05: early departure for Hanoi, day in Hanoi, then flight to France at 10 PM We don’t want to be overwhelmed by crowds of tourists and prefer to be on our own.

I’m planning and organizing a wonderful trip to Vietnam from mid-March to mid-April 2026, traveling independently for a month with my wife to enjoy her new retirement. Here’s a summary of our itinerary: We arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of Wednesday, March 18, and depart from Hanoi on the evening of Thursday, April 16. First, I’d like to head to Ho Chi Minh City because the temperatures are high in that region in mid-March. After that, we’ll visit Phu Quoc Island and then the Mekong Delta. We’ll return to Ho Chi Minh City and take a flight to Hue for 2 days, then Tam Coc / Ninh Binh (2-3 days), and Cat Ba Island with a visit to Lan Ha Bay (4 days). We’ll spend a few days in Hanoi, followed by 3-4 days in Sapa with some hikes, and then the Ha Giang loop (4 days). (I’m a motorcyclist—I ride a BMW trail bike and have taken care of renewing my international license.) We’re considering renting a motorcycle or bicycles when needed, except in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The weather in northern Vietnam in early April should theoretically be decent. Finally, we’ll return to Hanoi before heading back to Paris and the Pays de la Loire. Unfortunately, I’m skipping Angkor in Cambodia. I’d like to have a guide for 1 or 2 days in Sapa (which typical agency would you recommend?), and I’m wondering if I should book an agency for the 4 days in Ha Giang. I prefer my independence and don’t really like the "group" aspect of agencies. I’ll rent a 150cc motorcycle, and my wife will ride with me. Other questions: What are some good, typical accommodations to book in the places we’ve identified? Thanks for any info. Did I forget anything, or should we adjust our itinerary? Actuellement au Vietnam, j’aimerais visiter la baie d’Along, mais je n’ai pas envie de passer une nuit sur un bateau, ni de faire du kayak, ni de pique-niquer sur une île... Je n’ai pas non plus envie de partir pour la journée depuis Hanoi et de passer plus de temps en transport que dans la baie.

Me rendre à Along ou à Cat Ba par mes propres moyens, et ensuite prendre directement un tour pour la journée, tout simplement, ça se fais-tu?

J’ai regardé dans les anciens posts, mais j’ai l’impression qu’absolument tout le monde y va en croisière...

Day 1: Hanoi Day 2: Halong Bay (Lan Ha) Day 3: Halong Bay (Lan Ha) Day 4: Hue Day 5: Danang Day 6: Danang Day 7: Hoi An Day 8: Hoi An/My Son Day 9: Hanoi

After reading almost all the discussions about Vietnam, I don’t see anything about transportation options for getting from Hue to Danang, then from Danang to Hoi An. Any ideas (train, bus)? From the map, it looks like Danang is close to Hoi An—easily accessible by taxi, right?

Also, after reading lots of comments and websites, I’ve noticed that Danang, aside from being a big developing city, seems to be more about hotels for relaxing on the beach—very laid-back, isn’t it? Not really a place to visit like Hanoi or Hoi An.

Generally speaking, if you have any recommendations for the itinerary or tips, I’d love to hear them.

Hello, I’ve been to Thailand three times a long time ago, and I’d love to visit neighboring countries too: Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia (while returning to Thailand 😛). The catch is that I’d like to go at the beginning of the year, but I’ve heard that’s peak tourist season for these countries. Ideally, I’d prefer to avoid peak season to save money (I’m not exactly rolling in it) and to be able to travel without reservations—without being forced to take a room in the local "palace" that still has availability because of its exorbitant prices.

From my distant memories of Thailand, I usually paid around the equivalent of 20 € per night (with a hearty breakfast) for a hotel room with a mini-bar.

What are the average prices for this type of accommodation in Thailand and its neighbors during "peak" season these days? Do prices fluctuate a lot depending on the season, or is tourist demand not that different from one season to another, keeping prices relatively stable? Are the chances of finding a "budget" room without a reservation still high, no matter the season, in this part of the world? 😇
