Je réalise actuellement un mémoire en rapport avec l'humanitaire.
Malgré de nombreuses recherches, j'ai des difficultés à définir l'action humanitaire. Celle de Rony Brauman ne prends en compte que l'aide d'urgence tandis que Jean François Mattei pense que l'action humanitaire continue bien après la notion d'urgence. J'aimerais trouvé la définition de l'action humanitaire par Jean-François Mattei mais je ne la trouve pas sur internet.
Existe-t-il une différence entre action humanitaire et mission humanitaire ?
De plus, j'ai des difficultés à saisir les différents points de vues que j'ai pu voir sur différents site internet et à définir donc l'action humanitaire de développement que je souhaite utiliser pour mémoire (si ce terme est exact)

"action humanitaire de développement" n'existe pas. Soit c'est "humanitaire", à entendre dans le sens de "vital" (urgent, donc). Soit c'est une question de développement, sur du court, moyen et long terme, quand le vital est assuré : suivi médical, éducation, alimentation à long terme, logement, développement économique, etc.
La différence entre action et mission, est à peu près équivalente à la différence entre pratique et théorique. Il y a le projet étudié, avec les valeurs défendues, l'objectif visé, les populations bénéficiaires, les activités envisagés, le timing prévu, etc. L'action, c'est ce qui se passe sur le terrain. C'est juste mon explication, très vite dit !
Les définitions dans le milieu de la SI évoluent vite (comme la réalité de terrain). A mon sens, il vaudrait mieux, si tu utilises des définitions qui ont 10 ans, de les situer dans cette évolution.
As-tu regardé du côté de Bioforce ? C'est LE centre de formation des métiers de la solidarité internationale. Il publie régulièrement des documents qui résument ce qu'est "l'humanitaire" et les grandes lignes de son organisation.
Sinon, je suis en train de lire "l'humanitaire, à l'épreuve de l'éthique", de JF Mattei, justement (oct 2014).
Pour le cas où tu ne l'aies pas encore épluché (le livre, hein, pas Mattei...) : Il souligne que les différences se brouillent de plus en plus entre urgence et action de développement. Même MSF, asso urgentiste par excellence de la SI, va désormais construire des hôpitaux durables.
Pas sûre que tu trouves dans ce livre une véritable définition. Mais tu devrais y trouver quelques extraits intéressants, je pense.
Voilà 2 pistes qui pourraient t'aider, j'espère. Si toutefois tu ne les as pas déjà suivies...
Solidarité et humanitaire ne sont pas synonymes.
On peut mener une action humanitaire qui n'est pas solidaire. On peut mener une action de solidarité, sans qu'elle ne vise une urgence vitale.
Je suis actuellement étudiante en ergothérapie. Mon mémoire porte sur la transformation de l'identité professionnelle après une mission humanitaire. Cependant je souhaite plus m'intéresser à l'aide de développement. Donc d'après ce que vous avez écrit, je n'ai pas les bons termes.

Oui, c'est bien ce que j'ai voulu dire. A noter quand même qu'il existe de nombreuses missions d'aide au développement, qui ne font suite à aucune action humanitaire. Les besoins ne sont pas toujours vitaux - heureusement !
Ceci dit, je ne suis pas une pro de la solidarité internationale (même si je m'y intéresse beaucoup). Il serait plus judicieux, et plus prudent, de chercher des réponses précises auprès des pros, ou tout au moins sur des sites dédiés.

Oui, perso je préfère aussi l'expression "pays en développement", ou mieux : "pays en voie de développement".
Une particularité : les BRICS désignent les pays dits "émergents" : Brésil, Russie, Inde, Chine et Afrique du Sud.
Dans la notion d'humanitaire il ya la notion d'urgence (pendant une guerre après une catastrophe naturelle).
Dans la notion d'aide au développement il n'y a pas une notion d'urgence mais d'aider au développement c'est à dire à la croissance économique à l'augmentation de l'accès à l'éducation, à la santé à l'eau potable etc...

My name is Valerie and I live in France. I’m a street artist—I perform street shows that blend circus and clowning. I also work as a clown in hospitals and retirement homes in France.
I’m planning to spend two months in Morocco from January 19, 2027, to March 13, 2027. I’ll be traveling in a truck, so I’ll be mobile.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
