Mon projet : me rendre au Togo au mois d'aout pour me rendre utile dans un orphelinat en aidant le personnel et en faisant de l'animation avec les enfants... Par contre je ne souhaite pas partir avec un groupe du type "chantier jeune", je souhaiterai partir seule pour profiter au maximum de cette experience et quitter mon mode de vie européen.
J'ai déja mon billet d'avion, mais il me manque le principal : un orphelinat qui accepterai mon aide, et un logement sur place pour le mois.
J'ai déja eu quelques pistes avec des assoc togolaises, mais pas évident de savoir avec quels organismes partir... JSA Togo, Savoir Togo, Ozia ....
Si vous avez deja vécu cette expérience ou si vous avez des contacts, des conseils, des pieges a éviter je suis entierement à votre écoute.

Pour l'orphelinat en soi, j'ai contacté plusieurs assoc dont 2 : JSA togo et OZIA qui me paraissent vraiment bien. Chacune des assoc m'a dit qu'elle avait des contacts avec des orphelinats qui pourrait m'accueillir, maintenant a moi de choisir.
Apres, si tu cherches des chantiers jeunes tu as plein d'assoc francaises qui propose des départs au Togo... a savoir que c'est bien spécial comme principe.

Notre amie LEA, soeur et infirmière togolaise s'occupe de 14 enfants orphelins ou maltraités qu'elle a adoptés.

je viens de lire ton message dans lequel tu fais référence à Afriquyah pour tes billets d'avions, peux tu préciser?
Je pense partir au Togo en novembre 2007, notamment pour rencontrer l'association PAE TOGO avec laquelle je suis entré en contact, et pour laquelle nous avons monté une association partenaire en France "Frangins de tous pays".
J'ai regardé les billets d'avion pour Lomé, pour le moment j'ai trouvé les moins cher sur Royal Air Maroc...

Mon séjour au Togo c'est extraordinairement bien passé. Je suis partie avec l'association Avecs togo.
A l'époque où je suis partie l'asso ne proposai pas d'intervenir dans un orphelinat, donc j'ai participer a un mission de soutien scolaire. Très enrichissante. Mais depuis l'été dernier ils ont monté pas mal de projets... Dont des missions dans un orphelinat dans la ville de Sokodé.

Moi aussi je préfererais me trouver un projet local genre aider dans un orphelinat où faire de l'animation avec les enfants de la rue plutôt que d'être dans un chantier de jeunes.

En effet dans le début de mon projet j'étais réticente à partir sur un chantier, je voulais a tout pris eviter l'esprit "colo pour jeunes blancs". Et puis je me suis dis que pour un premiere experience au togo car je ne connaissais pas encore ce pays, cela pouvait etre un peu trop riqué de partir en solo. Donc j'ai contacté pas mal d'asso (une vingtaine environ), et entre autre j'ai pris contact avec l'assoc AVECS TOGO. Je leur ai expliqué mes envies, mes motivations... et je suis partie les rejoindre au mois d'aout pour une mission de soutien scolaire. Sur place j'ai été ravie de l'accueil qui m'était resérvé, et de la franchise de chacun. Nous étions peu de francais, ca a été une expérience formidable.
Depuis je ne lache plus l'asso, je n'avais pas envie que mon investissement se limite à un été. Donc je suis devenue coordinatrice francaise d'AVECS TOGO (france, mais surtout hors togo), et je m'occupe donc de faire passer les infos auprès des bénévoles francais, et de les préparer au départ.
Avecs togo acceuille également des personnes (hors été) qui souhaite réaliser des projets perso, en individuel. Cela est tout a fait possible, si c'est ce qui t'interesse.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
