Hi,

We're looking at booking for July 2020 and considering a balcony cabin at a really good price.

One double and one triple.

I'd like to know if there are any risks (other than poor positioning... like at the back... or noise from corridors) on this new ship, especially with metal balcony partitions? Or obstructed views? The decks don't seem to have balconies on every level... or some facing the promenade instead of the sea directly.

I noticed something odd on deck 8... If anyone can give me some info... (see photo...) thanks in advance

Hello, On Decks 6 and 7, where the lifeboats are, there are actually no cabins. Below them, on Deck 5, are what you’re probably calling “metal-clad balconies.” Above the lifeboats, along Deck 8, there’s the Lungomare Riviera promenade, but to get around the stern and reach the Terrazza Superba (which really lives up to its name), you have to go down to Deck 7 (using the stairs shown in your photo). For the “balcony” cabins—and especially the “terrace” ones—on this part of Deck 8 (see your photo), privacy isn’t great. People walking by pass right in front. Best regards

Hi, I’ll be in cabin 8014 on the Smeralda—how was the balcony view when you were there? I’m really worried about it, and also, what’s it like at the back of the ship? Thanks for your reply, have a great day
