Mon ami ayant trouvé un emploi à Kingston pour Septembre prochain, nous avons décidé de partir vivre en Jamaïque.
J'aimerai bcp profiter de cette occasion pour faire de l'humanitaire, Kingston est une ville d'une grande pauvreté et j'imagine que tout aide bénévole ne sera pas de trop. J'ai déjà essayé de contacter de grandes organisations pour savoir à qui je pouvais m'adresser, malheureusement sans grandes réponses.
Je suis donc à la recherche de toutes informations pour trouver un emploi bénévole dans la région de Kingston. Et je vous remercie d'avance pour vos réponses.🙂

Je suis un peu dans la même situation que toi: je rejoins mon ami qui a été envoyé par sa boîte à Montego Bay et souhaiterais travailler/ faire de l'humanitaire, enfin faire quelque chose!

Moi j ai déjà eu l opportunité d y allé en l an 2000 et j aimerai vraiment à nouveau y allé pour y travailler, vu que c est un pays qui me plaît énormément.

j'aimerais avoir des renseignements sus les possibilités d'emplois (et même de bénévolat) pour une française en jamaique. En effet, je vais suivre mon compagnon qui est ingenieur et va travailler pour une boite française à Kingston pour environ 18 mois. Je suis titulaire d'une Maîtrise Sciences Economiques et Sociales, et j'ai de nombreuses experiences dans l'animation, la vente, et le secretariat, bref, je suis polyvalente! je suis dynamique et trés motivée pour decouvrir la Jamaique! Je ne demande qu'à ameliorer mon anglais (niveau intermédiaire) et avoir des "contacts" sur place pour commencer. (Arrivée prevue pour mi-Août 2006) Merci d'avance pour vos reponses!
je suis désolé mais apres 8 mois sur place je n'ai toujours pas trouvé de travail volontaire, j'ai bien essayé mais c'est pas si facile, la seule chose intéressante est l'hopital pour enfant ou je me rends le mercredi matin avec 3 autres femmes, nous y occupons les enfants avec des bricolages etc.... Cependant je suis sur qu'il y a des choses a trouver.... mais ou ???
Par contre je suis sans aucun probleme disponible pour pour te faire connaitre Kingston, bien qu'il n'y a pas grand chose a faire, enfin, pour moi pas de probleme, ce n'est pas une ville tres facile donc si je peux aider ca sera avec plaisir.

je suis etudiant en hotellerie et on doit partir en stage a partir du mois de juin quelque part.
Personnellement je voudrais faire un stage en rapport avec l'humanitaire et en Jamaique car ce sont les deux choses qui me motivent le plus pour l'instant. Je voudrais egalement savoir si ca se passe bien pour vous, et si c'est vraiment un endroit ou il y aurait possibilitee de faire de l'humanitaire a differents postes, vu que le simple benevolat n'est pas accepte dans notre ecole...
Je fais egalement des recherches de mon cote voir si il ya des organisations deja implantees la bas, je mettrais les infos trouvees sur le forum, et si d'autres personnes peuvent faire la meme chose ce serait le mieux pour tout le monde je pense.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
