-Quel est le numéro de téléphone de BLS au Canada? Il n'y a qu'un seul numéro sur leur Site Web, qui n'est pas en service...J'ai appelé à l'Ambassade à Ottawa mais il ne me réfèrent qu'à ce numéro...
-Est-il préférable de se présenter en personne à l'agence BLS à Montréal ou bien de poster le tout à Toronto?
-Doit-on absolument scanner notre photo d'identité ou bien on peut l'envoyer directement avec notre demande en ligne imprimée?
-Quels sont les délais de service?

J'ai joint une compagnie privée de visa (visa service Canada) et voilà ce qu'ils m'ont dit:
-Il n'y a pas de numéro de téléphone en vigueur à ce jour pour BLS Canada;
-Étant donné les complications que cela entraîne, ils (visa service Canada) ne font plus l'organisation des visas pour l'Inde;
-Je dois donc prendre une chance et aller me présenter en personne au bureau de Montréal.
Je n'habite pas à côté de Montréal. J'aimerais donc savoir, avant d'y aller, si quelqu'un sait si le bureau à Montréal, situé au

Problème avec BSL
Mon passeport et ma demande de visa indien sont à Ottawa et il aurait fallu l'envoyer à Toronto.Personne ne parle français et on refuse de transférer ma demande de visa à Toronto. Est-ce que la dame t'a dit Toronto ou Brampton? Je n'ai jamais réussi à parler à un agent BLS, malgré des appels répétés sur une période de 3 semaines... Leurs informations sont très contradictoires; sur le site Internet de BLS, il est clairement dit que si nous résidons au Québec (excepté Montréal), nous devions faire une demande à Toronto, mais les envoies postaux se font à Brampton, Ontario. Par contre, sur un des formulaires, il est dit que les envoies postaux se font à Toronto...
J'ai donc pris une chance et j'ai envoyé ma demande à Brampton, puisque 2 documents sur 3 disaient de l'envoyer là-bas! J'espère que je ne suis pas dans le champs! Je t'en redonnerai des nouvelles aussitôt que je vais en avoir.
Je crois que tu as amplement le temps de refaire ta demande de visa si tu reçois ton passeport avant la fin avril. Bonne chance!

J'ai reçu rapidement mon passeport. J'ai complété une nouvelle demande sur laquelle l'adresse de Toronto est inscrite. Le tout a été livré le 15/04 à Toronto. Je croise mes doigts !
J'ai reçu mon visa ce matin par la poste de Brampton😉! Je suis très contente car je ne pouvais pas trouver mon statut en ligne sur le site de BLS, et lorsque j'ai parlé à la dame au téléphone, jeudi dernier, elle me disait que mon numéro CANT était lié à un monsieur portant un autre nom que le mien et qu'elle ne pouvait pas trouver mon dossier. Beaucoup de stress pour rien finalement! Donc, le 30 avril, l'Inde m'attend pour une période de 4 mois!

Je pars le 10 mai en inde pour ma part. Etant donné la confusion depuis la mise en place du service avec BLS, j'avais pris la résolution d'envoyer tôt ma demande mais après 5 semaines et les vaines tentatives de les rejoindre pour connaître le statut de mon application, je viens d'apprendre que je dois l'envoyer à Toronto. J'attends qu'ils me retournent tous mes documents et j'hésite a renvoyer le tout à Toronto vu les délais que ca prend... Peux-tu me confirmer combien de temps ca a pris avant de recevoir ton visa une fois ton application envoyée? As-tu inclus des frais de services postaux 'regular' (20$) ou express dans ton mandat poste? Sinon, j'aimerai opter pour me présenter directement au bureau de Montréal (quelqu'un peut de nouveau me confirmer que c'est ouvert a ce jour); mais il semble qu'il faille aussi compter 3 semaines au moins.... Alors mes documents ont été reçu à Brampton par la poste le 4 avril, mon visa a été émis le 9 avril et j'ai reçu le tout par la poste le 17 avril. Donc 13 jours... c'est donc jouable pour toi! Il est dit sur plusieurs documents que si notre juridiction est Toronto (hors Montréal), les envoies postaux doivent se faire à Brampton, non pas à Toronto. Mais peut-être qu'ils acceptent les envoies postaux à Toronto aussi, seul le temps et expérience des autres membres vont pouvoir nous le dire.
J'ai inclus des frais de services postaux régulier (30$ si on ne réside pas en Ontario - j'ai vu ca sur un document et je n'ai pas pris de chance).

Moi aussi, c'est un format 50 par 50 mm… j'ai déposé mon dossier ce matin à Toronto. Je crois e les doigts maintenant, mais on ne m'a rien dit pour la photo!
Finalement la photo en 50x50, ca passe mais je me suis fait recaler pour autre chose.

Oui, il faut effectivement s'assurer que le petit code barre avec son nom apparaisse en bas du formulaire! Selon le format d'impression, ce n'est pas systématique.
Sinon pour ta question sur l'envoi postal Sophie, le tout est de t'assurer d'avoir un numéro de suivi et prends aussi une signature a la réception. Avec postes canada, tu peux aussi envoyer le tout en moins de 24 heures avec toutes ces garanties.
BLS utilisent Purolator exclusivement pour leur envoi, mais pas de problème pour la réception. Avant d'aller a Toronto, j'ai envoyé a deux reprises des documents via poste canada a Ottawa et tout a été réceptionné sans problème.
Alors, je viens de recevoir mon visa indien. Je vais arriver à New Delhi le 5 juin pour repartir le 7 août.
Avec BLS, je pensais avoir 6 mois de visa. Finalement, la date de commencement est la journée où ils ont reçu ma demande (29 avril), et la date d' expiration est le 28 juillet. Il me manque donc un peu plus d' une semaine pour revenir convenablement. Donc, je n' ai pas 6 mois, mais bien 3 mois. Est-ce normal que ce soit ainsi? Est-ce qu' il y a des solutions pour changer les dates?
Avoir su plus tôt, j' aurais envoyé ma demande de visa plus tard pour que mon voyage rentre dans les dates demandées.

Je sais que les choses sont en train de bouger pour les démarches avec BLS (il y a maintenant un numéro de tel par juridiction au moins...) mais si on t a émis un visa de trois mois, j'imagine qu'il va falloir le redemander pour en avoir un de ses 6 mois (c bien frustrant car il n y a aucune différence de prix entre un visa de trois ou six mois, ou encore entre single ou multiple entry). J'ai demandé un visa de 6 mois pour assurer car je savais qu'il l'émettait a la date de réception ou plutôt d'émission du visa, c'est comme ca partout, ils ne regardent limite pas ta date de départ a BLS). Tu as encore le temps d'ici le 5 juin. Tu peux toujours essayer d 'écrire a cette dame: gianna@blsindia-canada.com. Elle est une haute responsable dans les bureaux de BLS. Je n'ai personnellement pas eu de réponse directe a ma réquisition mais je sais que certaines personnes ont vu leur dossier débloquer.

Bonjour Sophie, Tout a fait d'accord avec l'aide que Mme Gianna peut t'apporter.
Mon dossier était perdu depuis le début d'avril et elle a réglé mon problème.
Ne perds pas ton temps à appeler chez BLS, communique directement avec cette dame, elle est très aidante.
Dès que j' ai eu des informations à propos de Mme Gianna, je l' ai contactée.
Alors, ce qu' elle m' a dit brièvement, c' est que je devais recommencer à zéro tout le processus. Évidemment, je dois payer à nouveau les frais de transports et de visa.
Nous avons eu un très gros coup de stress pour les visas indiens mais finalement...tout est ok. Je peux même dire que BLS offre un service "d'une certaine" qualité !
Donc pour résumé les infos :
Le coûts pour une demande de visa pour l'inde pour un résidant canadien est de 101.40 $ (71.40 $ + 30 $ envoi postal (hors province du bureau de réception, i.e. Brampton dans le cas de plusieurs québécois)...ne pas oublier d'envoyer une traite bancaire (bank draft) et non un chèque personnel car sinon ils considèrent que les frais ne sont pas payés et ne commence même pas le traitement du dossier...j'ai fait l'erreur, ils ont avisé ma copine mais ils ne m'ont jamais avisé dans mon cas, j'ai donc refait un envoi pour une traite bancaire de 101.40 $ (ils ont conservé mon dossier et on inclus la traite au dossier)
Pour ma copine (Francaise) ça lui a coûté 121,40 $ (20 supp. pour passeport étranger)
Résumé des dates : 05 novembre 1er envoi (mauvais chèque), 2e envoi 19 novembre (traite bancaire seulement)
réception de la traite bancaire et envoi du dossier au consulat par BLS: 21 novembre
Pour faire le suivi de votre dossier, vous devez demander votre # de suivi (commence par CANT) mais qui n'est pas le même que celui sur votre formulaire (sais pas pourquoi ?)...dans tous les cas après tout fonctionne et les informations sont mis-à-jour très rapidement !
Acceptation du dossier par le consulat et retour à BLS : 29 novembre
Après il ne faut pas oublier de les appeler et d'insister pour qu'ils vous envoie les documents (demander à avoir le # de suivi purolator), ils peuvent le faire la journée même, sinon dans mon cas ils ont opérer après 3 jours !!!
Réception du visa à la maison : 03 décembre
Aussi, rien ne sert de mettre 2 photos, 1 seul suffit, moi en plus j'avais inclus un scan téléchargé dans le formulaire.
On part le 11 décembre du Québec, la tête en paix et avec un gros poids en moins !!

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

Is it possible with a rental company’s authorization? Which company, and at what cost?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?
