Que me conseilleriez-vous comme visites, parcs, randos, marchés sympa...?
Nous recherchons visites très typique, tout comme des parcs aquatiques( vu la chaleur annoncée de l'été), ou des parcs d'attraction. Nous serons avec 2 enfants ( 5 et 1 an).

à Almeria et ses alentours y'en a des choses où poser ses yeux !!!!! je ne peux que déjà te conseiller de visiter (gratuit) l'Alcazaba d'Almeria une des plus grandes forterresses arabes d'Andalousie, de plus tu auras une vue magnifique sur la ville. si tu es amateur de randos, rends toi dans le parc naturel du Capo de Gata-Nijar, région d'origine volcanique de superbes randos sont à faire du côté de Presillas Bajas, un petit jardin botanique bien sympa à Rodalquilar et toute la côté sauvage (escuellos, ...) du Capo de Gata. Ensuite tu as dû déjà remarqué les somptueux paysages que l'on voit dans les films de Sergio Leone (bon la brute et le truand, il était une fois dans l'ouest, ...) et bien ces films ont été tournés dans le désert de Tabernas au nord d'Almeria et là aussi de superbes randos t'attendent dans les ramblas d'une aridité incroyable !!! tu peux aussi pousser jusqu'à la région des Alpujarras mais y'a beaucoup de touristes ou vas voir aussi la région de Guadix les plus vaste territoire d'Europe de maisons troglotytes, incroyable !!! sit tu as le temps pousses à Grenade, inutile de te présenter cette ville !!!

La région du Cabo de Gata, est sympa pour qui veut y faire des randos, tout comme le "desierto de Tabernas" (même si tu ne m'y croiseras pas), mais est ce bien adapté à ce que recherche Laouate avec deux enfants, surtout un enfant de 1 an ???
Il y a le facteur température, en juillet et août, dés que tu t'éloigneras du bord de mer, le thermomètre grimpera aux alentours des 40° à l'ombre et les dépassera régulièrement. Tabernas en cette période est un grand four à pyrolise ou même les lézards se cachent !! 😕
Le coin que l'ami Laouate a choisi, est une zone totalement artificielle, entièrement dédiée au tourisme estival, il n'y avait rien ou quasimment rien il y a quelques années.
L'activité principale se résume à la plage, aux animations des hôtels, et l'essentiel de la clientièle vient d'Europe du nord.
Almeria est à une quinzaine de kilomètres, comme le dit Azotobacter, il y a la visite de la forteresse bien sûr, mais la ville en elle même ne présente guère d'intérêts (pour moi). Il y a le village de Nijar, "de l'autre côté d'Almeria", entièrement dédié à l'industrie de la terre cuite et de la faïence, les rues du village n'étant qu'une succession de boutiques. L'arrière pays, "région d'El Ejido", est à 100% consacré à la culture maraichère sous serres, c'est ce que les espagnols appellent "el mar de plastico".
A moins que celà n'ait été réalisé ces deux dernières années, je ne connais pas sur ce bout de côte, un parc d'attractions.
Aprés, si Laouate envisage de faire "quelques" kilomètres, il y a plus d'attraits... mais c'est "plus loin" 😛
Les rando que te conseilles Azotobacter sont effectivement sympa, mais comme le dit Patxi1 (hola amigo😛) le facteur température en juillet et août sera sûrement un grand frein avec 2 petits enfants 🤪
Oui toi est Fabriz, vous avez bien raison, déjà à Tabernas au printemps il y faisait bien chaud mais c'est vrai qu'en plein été ça doit être les "forges de Vulcain" !!!! en plus avec 2 petits enfants ce n'est pas des plus aproprié ce genre d'endroits pourtant sidérant. Et comme tu dis cette partie de littoral andalou n'est pas des plus enchanteurs, tout y est artificiel, même la vie ... (pour certains)
Au fait j'en profite de t'avoir sous la patte pour te dire au combien j'ai été enchanté de mes 3 semaines (pour Paques) en Andalousie, je me suis tout simplement régalé !!!!! en plus j'ai eu un temps superbe durant la semaine sainte et de la neige entre Guadix et Grenade ... (on peut pas tout avoir). je tiens aussi à te dire une mention spéciale pour le parc naturel de la Sierra d'Aracena, génial. Malheureusement je n'ai pu aller à la centrale éléctrique solaire de Sanlucar la Mayor comme je t'avais demandé des renseignements, pareil pour un petit match à Pizjuan, je n'ai pas pu y assister (une autre fois). Je suis en train de terminer mon carnet de voyage sur l'Andalousie, tu n'auras qu'à y jetter un petit coup d'oeil !!!

J'ai été à alméria l'année pasée fin mai pour une douzaine de jours. Franchement, ce ne fut pas mes plus belles vacances. Nous logions à Roquetas et nous avions loué une voiture. C'est vrai que le désert de Tabernas est magnifique et qu'il y a moyen de voir de belles choses dans les Sierra ( mais question chaleur vous allez etouffer en pelin juillet -août). Nous avons poussé une pointe jusque Almérimar (vraiment pas terrible et artificiel) sans compter le nombre de kilomètres à faire à travers ces routes interminables bordées de serres. d'ailleurs quand on descend de la montagne, on voit une mer de serres à l'horizon, c'est vraiment triste d'avoir gâché le paysage avec ça. En plus, je ne sais pas si c'est propre à cet endroit, mais le week-end est envahit d'Espagnols plus bruyant et envahissant qu'autre chose avec tous les enfants qui courent à travers tout et qui crient le plus possible. On se serait cru dans la banlieue en plein parc d'HLM.Franchement la Costa Alméria, je n'irais plus.
Par contre j'ai bien aimé la Costa Del Sol et j'ai ADORE MINORQUE (le paradis sur terre)

La culture du bruit, fait partie intégrante du mode de vie espagnol.
Même si quelques fois moi aussi je râle, je préfère de loin entendre cette vie espagnole plutôt que les beuglements de touristes alcoolisés.
Il est certain qu'en allant dans les sites hyper touristiques, en formule "all-in" les gens se retrouvent entre touristes ayant le même mode de vie, et que ce ne sont pas les enfants et la vie à l'espagnole qui gênera la séance de rotissoire sur la plage.
Mais lorsque ces mêmes touristes repartent, bronzés et repus, qu'ont ils connus de l'Espagne et des espagnols ... ah oui ... le concierge de l'hôtel ... et encore 😕
Gégé, Pour y avoir été plusieurs fois en bateau, Minorque est une trés belle île, tu as raison, mais bien qu'étant dans les Baléares, je ne crois pas que celà puisse être un "échantillon" de l'Espagne, c'est surtout un bout d'Angleterre au milieu de la grande bleue.
Totalement d'accord pour le côté inesthétique des serres de plastique de la région d'Almeria, ou de Huelva. C'est moche, c'est polluant lorsqu'elles sont abandonnées...etc, et en plus dés le milieu du printemps, il y a une prolifération incroyable de mouches. En contrepartie, elles donnent du boulot à nombre d'espagnols et d'émigrés (rarement dans de bonnes conditions), mais aussi elles nous permettent, à nous, gens du nord, d'avoir dans nos assiettes des fraises, des laitues ou des tomates pour pas cher et en toutes saisons (regardez dans vos super-marchés la provenance de ces produits).
Perso, je me me refuse à acheter ce genre de produits en dehors des périodes naturelles de production.
Que vous avez raison il ne faut plus retourner dans la région d'Almeria. Votre absence sera remarqué, Je rejoints patxi et fabritz sur leur commentaires car il est vrai que l'Espagnol aime la vie, que les enfants courent et crient, mais que voulez vous c'est la vie et la joie de vivre. Un détail, ils sont chez eux.
Cet hiver lorsque vous mangerez vos légumes (courgettes, concombres, aubergines, poivrons.........) pensez à la mar de plastico car ils viennent de là.
Il y a tellement de coins agréables en Espagne qu'il faut se renseigner avant pour ne pas dire après "si j'avais su".
Pourquoi se dit-on toujours APRES qu'il aurait fallu s'en occuper AVANT ?
J'ai été à plusieurs endroits en Espagne et franchement on a beau aimé la vie mais cela n'empêche pas d'être poli (vous voulez sortir de l'ascenseur et on vous repousse dans le fond car on veut absolument rentré envers et contre tout), on boit comme des éponges et on fait la fête toute la nuit, non ce n'est pas ça aimé la vie. Pourtant c'était un hotel 4 étoiles.
Quand à vos légumes d'Alméria, et bien manger les quand on voit la façon dont c'est cultivé et avec une exploitation de la main-d'oeuvre (on mange en hiver des légumes de saison et pas des exportations dégueulasses).
Toutefois, il existe en espagne des endroits très biens mais pas la Costa Alméria, voilà c'est mon opinion
Je ne parle que pour moi, et je ne crois pas avoir écrit que "j'appréciais" certains comportement désagréables, mais j'ai simplement écrit que ces comportements sont typiques des espagnols et de l'Espagne, et que lorsque l'on va dans un pays, c'est au visiteur de s'adapter et non l'inverse.
Lorsque je vais au Maroc je ne demande pas aux marocains de ne pas cracher dans la rue, ou en Italie aux italiens de ne pas klaxonner en voiture, ou en Egypte aux égyptiens de respecter les feux rouges ...etc !!! C'est ainsi, et si celà ne me convient pas, simple ... je n'y vais pas !!
Et en plus, les espagnols ont des horaires qui perturbent le touriste !
Rends toi compte, un pays qui ne déjeune pas avant 15h et qui pense au dîner vers 22h, un pays ou l'on te sert à manger jusqu'à minuit, un peuple qui dort le matin et vit la nuit ... 🤪 "it's crazy" 😛
Peu importe que l'on soit en camping ou dans un 4**** , chacun à sa manière de vivre, trés sincèrement je ne pense pas que celle des espagnols soit particulièrement désagréable, en tout cas, moi elle me convient parfaitement et je m'y suis totalement adapté, même si, comme déjà dit, je "râle" souvent !!!
En ce qui concerne la côte d'Almeria, je pense que "nous" sommes d'accord pour dire que ce n'est pas la panacée, loin de là.
Il y a une 15/20 ans, cette région était totalement déserte, pas d'infrastructures, pas ou trés peu de villages côtiers, et puis, les promoteurs ont vu le parti qu'ils pouvaient tirer de cette bande côtière, ou il faut le reconnaître les plages sont agréables.
Pendant ce temps, l'agriculture sous serres a pris un essort phénoménal, ce qui fait que l'on arrive à la situation d'aujourd'hui, avec des sites pseudos touristiques artificiels ( Roquetas, Almerimar ..etc), totalement encerclés par une mer de plastique, ce qui a pour résultat un endroit sans charme (pour moi), mais par contre une offre touristique pas chère et nombreuse.
Totalement d'accord, d'ailleurs je l'ai évoqué, pour dire que les conditions de travail des employés de ces exploitations, qu'ils soient immigrés (souvent clandestins) ou espagnols (peu), ces conditions donc, sont innaceptables (salaires, conditions de travail, hébergement...etc), mais pour beaucoup c'est ça ou rien, car il n'y a rien d'autre !!
Sans doute as tu les moyens financiers pour acheter de "bons et beaux" fruits et légumes chez toi, mais pour 90% des gens, l'arrivée sur le étals, en toutes saisons de ces productions relativement bon marché est une aubaine sans laquelle ils ne connaîtraient ces fruits et légumes qu'au travers des photos.
Nous sommes totalement d'accord en ce qui concerne le peu de qualité gustative de ces produits, et pour ma part (je l'ai dit également) je n'en achète pas et ne consomme les produits qu'en fonction de leur saison naturelle (pas de fraises à Noel, ou de tomates en février ...)
Voilà Gégé, j'espère que le malentendu est dissipé, et je ne peux que t'inciter à t'immerger dans cette "vie à l'espagnole" lors de ton prochain séjour, et non de vivre en marge, en spectateur, et tu verras le plaisir que l'on prend à leur mode de vie, et peut être est ce de toi que l'on se "plaindra" en disant ... ah ces belges !!!! 😛
Je ne peux qu'abonder dans le sens de Cod et de Patxi ... Et je me plais à vivre au rythme espagnol en Espagne qui me convient si bien ... surtout la sieste 😛 en été aux heures tellement chaudes et insoutenables😎
Et c'est vrai qu'il me coûte beaucoup de dîner à 19h00 (voire avant!) lorsque je visite ton beau pays qu'est la Belgique, ainsi que beaucoup d'autres choses, mais comme dit Patxi, je me plie aux us et coutumes lorsque je vais dans un pays par habitude et par éducation... Car je pense que cela aussi fait partie de la "bonne éducation"...
Et peut-être que de "parler doucement" pour un espagnol peut aussi lui paraître de la "mauvaise éducation" ...
Si l'Espagne et ses habitants ne te plaisent pas, alors n'y vas pas, et puis c'est tout😉
On ne parle pas de la même chose, je vous décris le comportement à la plage des autochtones. Ces familles travaillent dans les serres et croit moi il y fait chaud, une véritable étuve. Le père, la mère et souvent l’aîné de la famille travaillent plus de 8 h par jour dans cette ambiance qui parfois atteint 100% d’humidité. La grand-mère s’occupe de la maison et du dernier né. Voilà la réalité de ces gens qui gagnent péniblement le SMIG.
Quand la famille est réunie le dimanche au bord de l’eau, c’est la joie familiale retrouvé qui explose de joie et de bien vivre. Souvent c’est une paëlla qui mijote dans un coin et si vous rentrez en contact avec ces gens, sûr qu’ils auront un immense plaisir à vous faire goûter leur déjeuner.
Vous me parlez d’hôtel international, avec toutes ses dérives, mais êtes vous certain que ce sont uniquement que des Espagnols qui vous dérangent. Je ne pratique pas ce genre de vacances, je fais du camping car et il m’arrive de m’arrêter dans des campings. Comme fait du hasard, nous trouvons des gens qui boivent sans soif, qui chantent toute la journée et une partie de la nuit, jusqu’épuisement du stock des bières. Ce sont pour ne pas les citer des Allemands et des Belges. Je n’en veux nullement à ces gens car ils sont heureux de vivre (à leur façon).
En ce qui concerne la production agricole une personne vous à répondu et je confirme ses écrits. De toute façon toute la cote en été c’est la même chose dans les hôtels et les campings internationaux.
Si tu veux le standing il faut épingler quelques étoiles supplémentaires à ton hôtel.

We’re planning a short trip at the end of July to explore the legendary mountains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland: round trip from Nancy (Swiss highway vignette planned), 2 nights in a room with a small kitchen in Adelboden, then 2 nights in a hotel at the Gletscherblick in Grindelwald, both with half-board included.
Could you share some tips on the best road routes to take, as well as some walking hikes (we’re not as fit as we used to be, so nothing longer than 2-3 hours)? Maybe also 1 or 2 cable car rides—I was thinking of Oeschinensee Lake above Kandersteg and the First gondola above Grindelwald for better panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau... all while keeping it doable with our schedule. We’ve ruled out the "premium" trip up to the Jungfraujoch for this time.
I’m also guessing that paying to access Wengen or Mürren only makes sense if we’re staying there for a few days, right?

I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip:
- Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running.
- I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out.
- The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days.
- Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought.
- Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep.
- The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper.
- I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today.
In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.

Summer 2027 is going to be Norwegian for us!
We’re heading to the Lofoten Islands first, then Senja, near Tromsø, and finally the North Cape.
We’ll likely start from northern Finland (flight tickets and car rentals are more affordable there).

We’re heading to Bavaria from May 13 to 23, with a side trip to Austria.
Here’s our itinerary:
Day 1: Brussels-Munich
Day 2: Munich
Day 3: Munich and departure for Salzburg
We’ll be staying three nights in Salzburg.
Then we’ll head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we’ll stay for five nights.
Visiting Munich and Salzburg isn’t too tricky.
Once in Garmisch, we’re planning a day in Innsbruck, a day for Neuschwanstein Castle, and the rest is still up in the air.
What’s really got me stumped is that we’d love to see Königssee Lake—everyone says it’s a must-see.
We’d also like to visit the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), where the landscapes are supposedly stunning.
This would either be a round trip while we’re in Salzburg or on the way between Salzburg and Garmisch, but I’m guessing it’s impossible to do the drive from Salzburg to Garmisch, the Eagle’s Nest, *and* Königssee Lake all in one day.
Plus, the Alpine route between Salzburg and Garmisch seems prettier than the highway.
But honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the planning.
We should’ve added a stop between Salzburg and Garmisch, but the hotels are already booked.

We’re planning a trip to Finland and Norway this summer, starting in Oulu to explore Lapland, heading up to the North Cape, and then making our way down to Bergen.
This route means renting a car in Finland and dropping it off in Norway. My initial searches are showing rental rates that are... astronomical—about three times the price compared to returning it at the starting point.
I’m guessing I’m not the only one wanting to visit both countries. Are there any great tips to drastically reduce the cost of renting a car?

I’m sharing my draft itinerary with you because I just booked our flight tickets, and I feel like it’s quite late in the season. So, I’d like to be sure about my stops before reserving the hotels. I’ll be traveling alone with my two adult children. We want to prioritize outdoor walks, avoid too many indoor visits (both for budget and preference), and not spend too much time on the road.
D1: Arrival at 9 AM in Malaga, day in Malaga and overnight stay
D2: Head straight to Nerja (1-hour drive) and spend the night there
D3: Head straight to Granada (1.5-hour drive), spend the day and night there
D4: Granada. Visit the Alhambra (Nasrid Palaces tour at 5 PM) and spend the night
D5: Head to Ronda (2.5-hour drive) and spend the night
D6: White Villages and overnight in Ronda
D7: Head straight to the Costa del Sol (e.g., Estepona), spend the day and night there
D8: Return to Malaga to catch our flight
There you go! This itinerary takes into account that we’d like to do a circuit starting from Seville in a few years. That said, it’d be a shame to miss something doable from Malaga.
Questions:
Since the Alhambra visit is only at 5 PM, and we’d already have the day to explore Granada, would arriving the day before be a mistake? Or should we skip this day and dedicate it elsewhere (Costa del Sol? Head toward Tabernas?)? The old town appeals to me, but maybe the Sacromonte neighborhood isn’t essential...
Same question for Ronda: should we dedicate a full day to it, or combine Ronda and the White Villages in one day?
Note that we love wandering around villages outside, so that might answer my question! :)
Final question: Is it better to rent the car at Malaga Airport or in the city? If we rent at the airport, we’d need a hotel with parking, which doesn’t seem easy. Or stay outside the city and park for free near the center if possible? I’ve read comments about taking a taxi to Malaga and then picking up the rental car at the airport the next morning. The taxi would really need to be affordable...

My husband and I are planning a trip to Ireland in September 2026.
We’ll be flying from Montreal to London, where we’ll spend three nights.
After that, we’ll head to Dublin for a few days and take trains to visit the main attractions.
Our ideal plan would be to choose hotels near train stations and take tours to the interesting spots.
Would 8 days in Ireland be enough for this kind of trip?
We’re a group of 4 heading out at the end of June for 11 days.

We’ll be renting a regular car, not a 4x4.
I’m not finding a ton of info on the North.
Would love your take on all those kilometers—is there a route that lets us cut out a section?
