Tu ne dis pas de quelle CNI il s'agit ! Si c'est la française, il va falloir déjà la déclarer perdue à la police et aller en mairie demander ce qu'il faut faire pour pouvoir justifier de ta nationalité française !
Téléphones aussi au port de Marseille, au bureau de la police des frontières, pour savoir comment il faut faire !

Alors il te faut impérativement ta CNI Française si tu veux revenir en France, sinon tu ne passeras pas les douanes et tu resteras bloqué en Algérie jusqu'à ce que le consulat français règle ton problème (et ça ne se fait pas en une semaine...).
Par ailleurs il faut que tu présentes une CNI ou une carte de résidence française même quand tu présentes ton passeport Algérien pour quitter la France.

Le service des douanes en France réclame désormais automatiquement un titre de séjour ou une pièce d'identité française quand tu quittes le territoire, c'est pour ça que tu dois présenter une CNI française ou un passeport français en plus de ton passeport algérien à la police des douanes française. C'est pour voir si le voyageur était en situation légale sur le territoire français et plus largement dans l'espace Schengen.
Pour le retour en France le consulat français de Annaba précise qu'il faut bel et bien la CNI ou le passeport français pour passer les douanes en direction de la France exclusivement, une attestation de déclaration de vol ou de perte ne suffit pas... Et un permis de conduire c'est un peu comme une carte vitale, ça ne définit pas ta citoyenneté... Sa valeur est donc nulle dans le cas de passage de douanes malheureusement, et tu ne pourras pas quitter le territoire Algérien (il ne faut pas oublier qu'en Algérie, notre nationalité française ne compte pas et n'est pas prise en compte par les autorités, c'est seulement un laisser-passer pour passer les douanes vers la France).
Au téléphone ils t'ont dit que tu peux aller en Algérie sans présenter de CNI Française à la police des douanes en France et qu'ils t'enverront la carte en Algérie ? Peut-être que la meilleure solution (malheureusement plus onéreuse) est de faire un passeport urgent qui te sera délivré avant ton départ en Algérie...

N'oublies pas qu'une CNI demande environ 6 semaines pour être délivrée reste encore le moyen le plus sûr pour te le faire parvenir et aussi le plus rapide !

Désolée mais toute personne a le droit de donner une procuration en cas d'empêchement ! Cette personne pourra la retirer et ensuite l'envoyer soit par DHL ou équivalent (Chronopost international, etc), la solution la plus rapide et la plus sécuritaire, soit par lettre recommendée avec accusé de réception (moin sûr et les délais très long) !
Vous avez demandé une carte nationale d'identité à la mairie et on vous a informé(e) qu'elle était disponible. Cependant, vous ne pouvez pas vous déplacer pour la retirer et vous souhaitez donc charger quelqu'un de venir la chercher à votre place. Vous rédigez une procuration afin de permettre à cette personne de retirer votre carte nationale d'identité auprès de la mairie.
La procuration consiste en une demande sur papier libre signée par le titulaire de la carte nationale d'identité à retirer, qui nomme et charge explicitement la personne autorisée à faire la procédure à sa place. La procuration doit être signée par les deux parties.

Le problème se pose aussi à la sortie du territoire français... Mais en effet une procuration est possible pour retirer une carte d'identité !
Sauf que le voyage peut se trouver compromis si la sortie du territoire lui est impossible parce qu'il ne peut pas justifier de sa situation en Europe à la police des douanes... Quand on sort de France on présente un passeport algérien ET un passeport français (ou une CNI plus communément) à la police des douanes. Quand on sort d'Algérie on présente aussi un passeport français (ou une CNI) et un passeport algérien à la police des douanes.
Puis si par hasard la police des douanes en France ne demande pas la pièce d'identité française, la question est combien de temps va-t-il rester en Algérie ? Parce que si il y va pour deux semaines (tout en supposant qu'il puisse sortir de France sans la CNI) il ne pourra pas sortir d'Algérie tant qu'il n'aura pas reçu sa carte d'identité. Et une CNI en deux semaines, c'est peut-être un privilège réservé à des personnes comme Julie Gayet mais pas à tous !

Bonsoir, je reste un peu plus de 2 mois, si j'arrive a sortir du territoire français, je compte faire une procuration pour qu'on me ramène ma carte d’identité, mais le problème c'est est-ce que je vais réussir a sortir du territoire, je dispose seulement d'un passeport algérien, carte d’identité algérienne, permis de conduire français, et pourquoi pas ramener mon papier comme quoi j'ai bien fait ma journée d'appel en France
Par contre je suis partit au commissariat et ils ne font plus de déclaration de pertes, demain je vais a la mairie de ma ville pour essayer de voir ce qu'on peut faire je vous tien au courant. (merci pour le lien de la lettre de procuration)
ps: sur ma carte d’identité algérienne il y a mon adresse de France, peut être qu'avec ma carte d’identité algérienne sa peut passer?
Comment tu es obtenu la nationalité française ? La mairie te demandera cette preuve (un document, etc) donc tu pourras demander lors du renouvellement de ta carte, si cette preuve pourra te servir pour sortir du territoire ?
Sinon adresses toi à la Préfecture aussi pour avoir des avis, conseils.
Et un bon conseil, fais la procuration avant de partir, tu ne pourras plus la faire une fois parti ! Je crois qu'il faut faire tamponner cette procuration par la mairie (demandes-leur) !

Concernant ton certificat de JAPD il ne te sert à rien en Algérie, c'est un document français et non algérien or en Algérie tu es seulement algérien et pas français ! D'ailleurs est-ce que t'as demandé ta carte jaune au consulat algérien pour obtenir ton attestation de recensement et éviter d'être envoyé à l'armée à ton retour d'Algérie en cas de contrôle par les autorités algériennes ?
Sur toutes nos cartes nationales algériennes notre adresse est en France (par nous j'entends les immigrés), ce n'est pas pour autant que ça prouve qu'on est français (on peut être binational ou simplement résident avec carte de séjour, ce n'est pas une preuve de nationalité). Donc ne compte pas sur ta carte nationale avec une adresse française, ce qu'il te faut c'est vraiment une CNI ou un passeport. Renseigne-toi à propos des laisser passer... Je ne connais pas du tout comment ça marche, peut être qu'il y a une solution de ce côté là !

C'est risqué ce que tu veux faire, je serais toi pour partir serein je décalerais le depart (meme si faut payer une penalité pour le billet de bateau) le temps de faire une nouvelle CNI et pourquoi pas aussi un Passeport Français.
Parce qu'une fois sur place (si on te laisse partir) s'il y a le moindre 'hic' bin tu seras dans la mouise car bloqué sur place et impossible de faire une quelconque demarche.

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?
