Hi, I’d like to go on a trip of about 14 days to Ladakh, with Dharamsala or Nepal as possible alternatives. One of my goals is to authentically explore Tibetan Buddhism: understand its principles, attend one or a few teachings, visit monasteries, and if possible, meet a monk or teacher. I’d like to dedicate a significant part of the trip to discovering local life: villages, families, cuisine, culture, nature, and interacting with the locals. I’m looking for travel companion(s) to visit Laos for a maximum of 3 to 4 weeks, preferably this year—departure in October, returning by 15/11/26 at the latest. Possible dates also from 29/01/27 to 15/03 at the latest, still for 3 to 4 weeks. Departure from Brussels, Paris, or another airport depending on the price. We could also meet up there. The goal is to travel relaxed using public transport where possible, visiting places like Luang Prabang and its surroundings, Vientiane and what there is to see around it, Vang Vieng, the Bolaven Plateau, the 4,000 Islands, the Plain of Jars, ethnic villages, Nong Khiaw, going up or down the Mekong, Muang Sing, and more depending on our mood. No treks or long hikes, though we could arrange a day or two if needed. We’ll plan the route together without setting anything in stone to keep things flexible and spontaneous—no waking up wondering what we’ll do that day. Accommodation will be clean, like guesthouses, with private bathrooms and fans rather than AC. Shared rooms are an option. If we can meet beforehand, that’d be great—otherwise, a video call works too.

We’re currently three retirees (one man and a couple) looking for one or two people to join us on a road trip through Patagonia by car.

Starting from Concepción in Chile, we’ll head to San Carlos de Bariloche (a possible meet-up point) in Argentina to reach Cabo Vírgenes. Then we’ll return via Route 40, with detours on the Chilean side (Torres del Paine, Lake General Carrera, Coyhaique).

We’ll pass by the Perito Moreno Glacier, Laguna del Desierto, Perito Moreno Park at the foot of San Lorenzo, Jeinemeni Park, Los Alerces Park, and more. A few hikes are planned.

Dates: November 6 to December 15, from Concepción back to Concepción.

For February 2027, Since it's so much better to travel as a pair, I'm looking for a friendly female travel buddy to visit Laos, with a stop in northern Thailand first to explore the Chiang Mai region before heading to Laos. I travel backpacker-style but with comfort—staying with locals or in small hotels with private bathrooms, using the country's trains and buses.
