Je suis de retour de vacance d'une semaine du Oasis Playa Coco (du 29 janvier au 5 février, 6 adultes et 1 enfant, première expérience à Cuba) et voici les commentaires de mon séjour:
La plage: Il faut être un peu à droite (face au bloc 9) et non en face du resto de la plage. La mer est vraiment magnifique et quand la marée descend, aller prendre une marche jusqu'à la pointe c'est superbe! Nous avons eu une journée avec des jelly-fish!
Température: Nous avons eu 3 jours chauds, 3 jours frais avec du vent (correct à la piscine mais pas à la mer, pas asser chaud pour se baigner) et 1 jours froid avec beaucoup de vent (manche longue).
La chambre: Nous étions au 2ieme étage du bloc 8. Très propre, nous n'avons jamais manqué de serviette ni d'eau chaude. Il y avait une odeur d'humidité (normal dans le sud) et l'air climatisée sent mauvais quand on la part. Je vous conseille d'apporter votre savon parce que celui fourni est minuscule et le gel douche ne mousse pas! Certaine chambre n'avait pas de shampoing.
La bouffe: Bon... Souvent (90% du temps) la nourriture est tiède à froide.
Buffet: La bouffe au buffet est très ordinaire (nous étions 6 adultes et tous d'accord sur ce point). Mon conjoint et moi ne sommes pas difficile pour la nourriture. C'est souvent gras, les fruits ne sont pas mures, beaucoup d'aliments en conserve (champignon, fruit, oignon...). Ce n'est pas la saison peut-etre mais nous n'avons pas mangés de banane de la semaine. Le café du buffet est mauvais mais celui du Lobby est excellent.
À la carte: Le resto japonais est vraiment excellent et amusant. Nous avons aimés le resto fruit de mer (contrairement au critiques!). Les pates du resto italien sont bonne mais la viande...
Resto 24 hrs: ça dépanne mais attention nous sommes tombé sur des hamburgers dont la viande n'était pas cuite.
Le service: Au buffet il n'y avait personne pour nous placer, à 7 personnes c'était difficile!. À tous les jours nous devions coller nos tables, courrir les chaises et les usensils! Et quand c'était plein nous devions partir et revenir plus tard aussi-non nous restions au beau millieu et personne venait nous aider.
En général le service est assez lent dans tous les bars, mais on s'est fait dire que c'était Cuba ''No Problemo''
Le site: C'est vrai que la végétation n'est pas très grosse. Moi je n'ai pas trouvé que s'était un endroit particulièrement beau! Mais l'année dernière nous étions au Gran Bahia en RD!
Les toilettes sur le site...Oufs!
Sur 7 personnes, 2 d'entre nous se sont faient piquer par les moustiques (que l'on ne voit pas!). Beaucoup de piqures (au moins 50) et nous avions apporter notre chasse moustique. On ne sait pas si c'est le soir ou à la plage ou dans la chambre car on ne les voient pas et on ne sent pas quand ils nous piques.
Donc.... Nous avons eu un spécial pour cet hôtel (699$ départ le jeudi) et je pense que ça vaut ce prix. Nous étions supposés partir le dimanche pour 1300$, heureusement que nous avons eu ce spécial car nous serions vraiment déçus. Je pense que cet hôtel est plutot un 3* qu'un 4*.
Moi, je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel à mes amis.
En principe, non c'est pas possible d'aller 3 fois au meme resto.
Il y a 3 resto à la carte: Italien, Japonais et Fruits de mer.
Avec Nolitours nous avions 2 resto de plus: Cubain et Grill mais pas avec TMR

C'est dommage... Mais, en janvier, on prend souvent des risques, à Cuba...

C'est souvent gras, les fruits ne sont pas mures, beaucoup d'aliments en conserve (champignon, fruit, oignon...). Ce n'est pas la saison peut-etre mais nous n'avons pas mangés de banane de la semaine. J'ai vécu la même chose en novembre 2007.... Je me demande quand, est la saison à Cuba... Il faut dire qu'il sont perdu beaucoup d'arbres fruitiers aux derniers ouragans... Resto 24 hrs: ça dépanne mais attention nous sommes tombé sur des hamburgers dont la viande n'était pas cuite. Jamais que je mangerais de la viande hachée dans le Sud. J'ai beaucoup trop peur de la bactérie E-colie.... J'ai tellement vu de gens malades à cause de ça.... 🙁

C'est certain que la barre est haute après être allés au Gran Bahia Principe en République dominicaine, surtout si c'était celui à Punta Cana! Je vous souhaite un bon retour. Je connais des gens qui y étaient entre le 30 janvier et le 6 février. J'ai hâte d'avoir de leurs nouvelles.
Les avis sont bien partagés pour cet hôtel! Il y en a qui aiment et d'autres aiment moins.
Disons que dans notre cas, nous sommes restés sur notre faim. Faut dire que la température n'a pas aidé! Nous savions que s'était risqué début février mais jamais nous allons nous faire reprendre 😕

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?
