J'ai vu sur un forum de discussion que les plages à Santa-Maria était très endommagé depuis le séisme au Chili.
Est-ce qu'il y aurait des personnes parmi vous qui sont revenu de Santa-Maria hier ou avant-hier pour me donner des infos.
Je suis inquiète car je pars demain matin soit le 7 mars pour le Sol Cayo Santa-Maria et j'aimerais savoir ce qui se passe au juste au sujet des plages.
Mettons les choses au clair, l'océan Pacifique et l'Atlantique sont reliés par le Cap Horn et l'Artique... Accesoirement par le canal de Panama. Mais quand même il y a une marge entre ce qui se passe dans un et l'autre...
Pourrais tu m'expliquer comment un séisme qui a touché le Pacique pourrait avoir une influence sur les plage de Cuba?
Quand on a peur d'avoir peur on fini par craindre l'impossible!

Mais c'est abracadabrant cette histoire de séisme au Chili (donc dans le Pacifique, plutôt au sud) qui aurait eu une influence sur les plages de Cuba (dans l'Atlantique et du coté NORD de l'équateur!)
Ma Géographie me fait douter de cette prétendue info qui ressemble à un haox!
OUFFF la tempête a été plus grosse que je ne le pensais.
Je savais que La Havane avait été innondée, on n'en a pas pas parlé ici mais sur les sites de nouvelles de la France on en parlait...
Donc la tempête a aussi fait des dégâts sur cayo Santa Maria et pas à peu près!
Mais il n'y a aucune relation à faire entre cette tempête et le séisme au Chili... Pas plus qu'il y en a entre le séisme et les innondations en europe!
J'étais à Cayo Santa Maria du 25 février jusqu'au 4 mars, j'étais donc sur place lors des intempéries (qui effectivement n'ont rien à voir avec le tremblement de terre au Chili). Nous avons eu des journées très calmes de baignade paradisiaque mais d'autres journées de grand vent, et des vagues à faire réfléchir sur la sécurité nautique! La plage devant le Melia Cayo Santa Maria est si large que ça ne nous a pas du tout affectés, mais ceux qui résident au Melia Las Dunas, où la bande de sable est très étroite (voir photo), se sont faits chasser de la plage au moins 2 fois selon moi (je ne me suis pas promenée à tous les jours). Je ne saurais trop me prononcer concernant la plage du Sol; elle est plus large que devant le Las Dunas, mais moins que celle du Melia Cayo Santa Maria.
Quoiqu'il en soit, la situation est loins d'être catastrophique, pas au point de gâcher des vacances! Il est plutôt agréable de somnoler sur la plage avec comme fond sonore le bruit des grosses vagues et du vent!
Nous prévoyons partir aussi au Mélia dans 2 semaines, tes impressions à ton retour seraient fort appréciées.
Nous sommes allés en Février 2009, et le tout était parfait, la bouffe, l'hôtel, le service etc...sauf qu'il ventait et faisait très froid, c'est pourquoi on se reprend cette année, mais plus tard.
Vraiment le monde invente n importe quoi j'y était a Cayo Santa Maria et la plage était parfaite tout dépend de la marée et de la température rien avoir avec le tremblement terre....
Nous avons attendu trop longtemps pour réserver Melia Las Dunas...on se retrouvera au Melia Las Antillas à Varadero...c'est pas Santa Maria, mais ca semble très convenable....on a très hâte....
J'étais au Melia Cayo Santa Maria du 26 fév au 5 mars et la plage était très belle. C'est vrai qu'il ne faisait pas 30 c
et qu'il ventait beaucoup pendant qqs jours, mais nous n'avons pas eu une goutte de pluie (seulement pendant une nuit
mais on dormait :)). J'ai beaucoup aimé mon voyage et l'eau est superbe!!!

J'ai trouvée ce voyage il y a presque 3 mois à 697$ avec un départ de Québec.
Je ne pouvais pas le prendre moi mais cet automne, je le surveille car cela m'a l'air formidable.

je reviens au melia cayo santo maria. et la place est correct ainsi qu au barcelo.
c est le sol qui a ete touche, ils n ont plus de plage.
le temps etait beau et chaud. j ai fait un resume sur le forum de mon voyage
tu peux le lire. tu verras , j ai eu des pepins mais tout s est bien termine.
les vents etaient forts, 2 fois le drapeau rouge. mais j ai fait du
petit catamaran et c etait le fun. j ai aussi nage avec les dauphins
apres avoir fait 3h30 d autobus pour aller .

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Do you know of any nice, budget-friendly hotels with activities in Mexico? Or Zanzibar is also an option for me, same idea.

I’m tired of spending hours and hours searching for all-inclusive hotels for my first trip to Mexico to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

The first is the Etosha National Park site: https://etoshanationalpark.co.za
You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?
