Nous devons partir mon amie et moi pour le Nord du Vietnam et Hanoi du 22 septembre au 20 octobre.
Nous apprenons qu'il y a une épidémie de dengue en particulier à HANOI mais aussi de façon moindre dans le nord du Vietnam.
Que devons nous faire pour éviter cette maladie?

la seule façon de se prémunir c'est d'employer des repulsif moustique efficace (repel insect ou 5/5) de porter des vetements amples et couvrant le corps !! en n'oubliant pas les pieds car ces petites betes attaquent souvent cette partie de l'homme !!
vous pouvez aussi traiter vos vetements avant de partir

Kaoua vous a tout bien pour les protections moustiques, suivez bien ses conseils.
Si le moustique du palu pique plutôt le soir, celui de la dengue sévira en journée....donc on se vaporise du lever au coucher.
Pas d'aspirine non plus en cas fièvre ou douleurs, contre indiqué et même dangereux pour la Dengue, prendre du paracétamol.
Pas de médicaments codéinés ou dérivés d'opiacés tel que Tramadol Xprim Topalgic etc...interdits au Vietnam, considérés comme stupéfiant...
On ne caline pas les chiens ni les chats....la rage est endémique au Vietnam et on oublie pas de prendre dans ses bagage un traitement pour la diarrhée....
On se lave les mains...😉
ET, Pas de panique, en prenant bien les mesures d'hygiènes habituelles à tout voyage tout ira bien!

à noter que les indications portées sur le second lien sont très bien faites et donnent les solutions efficaces en évitant les gadgets (type bracelet) qui ne marchent pas même si les pharmacies les vendent....
Bon, je dois avouer que je me suis trompé vu que je ne lis que les bonnes nouvelles. Effectivement, épidémie à Hanoi. Toutefois, avec un bon produit anti-moustiques, vs etes tranquilles (à acheter en France car difficile à trouver ici - généralement ds les pharmacies - et chers ; meme chose pour les crèmes solaires).
Ceci dit, 93 000 cas sur 95 millions d'habitants, il n'ya pas de quoi aller en vacances ailleurs !
Méfiez-vous de la vie, car les ratés ne vous rateront pas!

En fonction du produit comptez de 5 à 12 euro....çà reste abordable.
J'utilise Insect écran zone infestée quand je vais au VIETNAM en spray et en imprégnation (sans oublier les bagages) mes dépenses ne dépassent pas les 15 euro pour 2 pour 15 jours en moyenne.

Oui, mais je prends un médicament pour avoir le sang plus liquide. "Previscan" car j'ai été opérée du coeur.
Quant à mon amie elle est gravement allergique au paraben et ses dérives.
Oui, je prends toujours mes ordonnances en voyage, la cardiologue qui ne connait pas trop la dengue, m'a dit d'arrêter de prendre mon anti-coagulant si j'attrape la maladie.
Mais pas avant.
Arrêter vos médicaments sans avoir la certitude qu'il s'agissent de la dengue...?
Des analyses réalisées en laboratoire sont essentielles pour le diagnostic de la dengue il me semble....
Cependant, je ne puis rien vous répondre😕 ni vous conseiller, je ne suis pas médecin et encore moins cardiologue...

Vous devez le faire certainement , mais n'oubliez pas sur votre ordonnance de préciser le nom de la molécule à coté . Exemple pour Préviscan notez à coté Fluindione , le nom de la molécule est plus utilisé dans le monde , c'est celui que l'on trouve sur les génériques .
Cela ma déjà facilité les choses en Birmanie grâce au conseil de mon cardiologue .

Pas pour te rassurer, en faisant très attention et en étant très prudent (nous voyageons depuis plus de 30 ans en Asie du Sud Est) j'ai attrapé la Dengue sur Dien Bien Phu au mois de juillet de cette année. Le moustique transmettant la Dengue est un moustique diurne ce qui complique la prévention! Et je te confirme grosse épidémie au Viet-Nam en ce moment! Je suis tombé malade la veille du retour et j'ai jamais été aussi malade, 4 jours au CH Dron de Lille aux maladies infectieuses et tropicales au retour....et pourtant je repars à la Toussaint plonger en Thaïlande.
Au parle toujours du Palu, mais je pense que la Dengue est un problème tout aussi important bien que très peu létale.
Pour les maladies liées aux piqûres de moustiques, il serait préférable d'utiliser les produits répulsifs ou les spirales chinoises anti-moustiques. Il faut bien mettre le produit quand vous vous baladez. Le soir, il est conseillé de dormir dans les moustiquaires.

Il est si facile de se déplacer aujourd'hui que l'on ne peut imaginer le pire à portée de vol.
Beaucoup arrivent sans même avoir jeté ne serait ce qu'un oeil sur les recommandations que l'on trouve partout pour les zones tropicales ou autres,
Sans alarmer, il faut aussi parler pour le Vietnam et pour tout voyage hors de nos contrées, de la rage, du tétanos, de la typhoïde, des hépatites... et il convient d'être au minimum à jour de ses vaccins.

Je croyais que la dengue sévissait surtout dans les grandes villes.
Ce qui n'a pas été votre cas.
Je vais pas loin de là où vous étiez vers le 26 septembre je vais à Mu Cang Chai, Bac Ha,
Sapa et Hanoi (plus la baie d'Along terrestre et mer plus tard vers le 10 octobre.
J'espère ne pas l'attraper car je prends un médicament pour fluidifier le sang.
Quant à vous j'espère que vous êtes complétement guerri.

Il y a trois ans, nous étions à MCC le 16 & 17 sept c'était le début de la moisson et suivant le versant de la vallée, le riz n'est pas mûr partout au même moment. Cela dure donc un certain temps.
Cette même année, mon épouse a contracté la dengue.Une seule piqûre a suffi, de jour, du côté de Ninh Binh. L'incubation a duré 10 à 12 jours, les premiers symptômes : poussées de fièvre violente et érythème sur tout le corps (la dengue est aussi appelée "fièvre rouge ").
Je ne suis pas toubib, mais pour avoir vécu çà de près je pense que la prise d'anticoagulants n'est pas recommandée car la dengue fait fortement chuter le taux de plaquettes.
Pas de panique , profitez bien des magnifiques rizières de MCC et spray à fond.

Ce qui m'inquiète c'est que la cardiologue ne veut pas que j'arrête l'anticoagulant sauf si j'attrape la dengue, mais je crois qu'elle ne connait pas très bien cette maladie.
Si elle ne se déclare pas tout de suite je continuerai à être sous anticoagulant.

Tant que vous n'êtes pas piquée, pas de soucis . Et si vous l'êtes vous ne serez pas forcement contaminée.Suivez les quelques règles habituelles de précautions ( vetements amples et longs, traités à l' anti-moustique , spray , etc).
A MCC, à pied en franchissant le pont sur la rivière , il y a déjà une jolie balade vers quelques villages Mongs.
En sept 2013, ( il y a dû avoir du changement depuis) personne ne parlait autre chose que vietnamien. Thanh , le jeune patron du petit café en face de la station de lavage des motos, le seul endroit où était écrit: "breakfast", nous a conduits en motos et accompagnés vers La Patan et Xe cun ha.
Vous serez là-bas pour assister à la moisson, quelle chance !!!

Hélas je ne suis pas météorologue , je ne peux que consulter les sites météo et pour Hanoï
ils ne sont pas pessimistes pour le 22/09 . Le 25 à Sapa cela devrait passer l'orage est prévu pour après !!! comme chaque site a des prévisions différentes il suffit de ne lire que celui qui vous convient. Rassurez vous un orage ne gâche pas la beauté des sites et en marchant cela va sécher.
Protéger en priorité votre sac, car à l'étape du soir , vu le taux d'humidité cela sèche difficilement.
Normalement pour Mu Cang Chai , Sapa , Bac Ha septembre est en principe une bonne période. Pour Hanoi il y a toujours en Sptembre quelques plies possibles .
Pour les moissons : elles ont lieu en général fin septembre début octobre donc idéal pour vous. De plus quelqu'un a écrit à juste raison dans ce post ou ailleurs . Il y a toujours des rizières à différents stades suivant leur orientation , leur implantation etc... et cela je l'ai aussi constaté .
Pour Mu Cang Chai votre retour sera intéressant car la ville a été durement touchée par les orages il y a quelques semaines, les vidéos montraient des torrents emportant tout sur leur passage en ville .

Bien sur les routes ont été réparées mais les maisons ???
Plus de 160 détruites, je ne pense pas qu'elles soient toutes reconstruites , surtout celles des ethnies....😕.
Tout ce qui touche au commerce et au tourisme devrait à peu près fonctionner, monnaie oblige, mais pour ce qui est des chemins de traverse, des villages, la question reste posée?
Il serait bien que les personnes sur place au Vietnam nous tiennent au courant, surtout celles qui n'ont pas un intérêt pécuniaire à envoyer les touristes là bas....😉

Personnellement je suis plus optimiste que Asia7. Les vietnamiens ont toujours montré une détermination exemplaire pour remettre en marche un village sinistré, une route anéantie etc..cela dans les conflits du 20ème siècle , quand la fourmilière se met en marche cela est impressionnant. Nous avons tous vu des routes bloquées par des éboulements et pouvoir passer quelques heures après. Quant aux villages reculés et maisons des ethnies il ne serait pas surprenant qu'elles soient encore debout. Elles sont en général construites hors du chemin de ces coulées et bâties de façon à résister aux intempéries qui sont fréquentes là bas.
Pour moi pas d'inquiétude à avoir. à votre place je partirai confiant. De plus tous les moustiques porteurs de la dengue furent noyés !!!

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
