Hi, I’ll be going on a cruise with Costa Toscana soon. During the stopover in Barcelona, is it possible to walk to La Rambla from where the ship docks, or is it better to take a bus or taxi? Also, any ideas for the Ibiza stopover? Thanks, Diane

Hi Diane,

You can walk to La Rambla, but the route isn’t very pleasant. There’s also a city bus (about 4 € per person) that takes you near the Christopher Columbus Column, at the bottom of La Rambla. If you take a taxi, make sure the driver turns on the meter and doesn’t charge you the airport flat rate (35 € or 40 €). Outside of the airport rate, taxis aren’t too expensive in Barcelona.

In Ibiza, there are car rental booths right by the exit of the ferry terminal.

Hi, I just got back from a cruise on the Toscana, and as mentioned in the previous post, there are city buses. A round-trip ticket costs 3.50 € and drops you off at the cable car parking lot, which isn’t far from the Columbus statue. Wishing you a pleasant cruise. marfill.

Hi there, It's the blue buses that are on the left when you exit the terminal. If you don't see one when you come out, it's probably about to arrive... There's often a bit of a wait. It's widely used by passengers and crew members. Enjoy your visit to Barcelona!

Hi there, Everything's going up! In December, the Cruise Bus was 3 € for a one-way trip and 4.50 € for a round trip! Tickets can be bought on the bus, but the driver only accepts cash—coins or 5 € notes only. Best regards

For Barcelona, there’s a bus for 4.50 € round-trip right at the foot of the ship. In Palma, there are also city buses, but you’ll have to walk a bit when leaving the port. In Palermo and Savona, you’re already in the city. For Rome, there’s an offer for 39 €. If you’ve already been to Civitavecchia, it’s nice to visit. Have a great cruise!
