Hi,

Apart from the Cinque Terre, I can't find much to visit in La Spezia... For those who've already had a stopover there, could you help me out?

I looked into the possibility of taking a boat to Portovenere, but unfortunately, the service stops on October 26th...

Thanks in advance!

There are local public buses that go to Portovenere all year round. The route has a few twists and turns...

Have you already been there? Is Portovenere worth spending half a day?

Hi Aurélie. You can take the train to Lucca, which is a lovely town with lots to see. Check out https://escalescroisiere.fr/escale-a-la-spezia-visite-des-cinque-terre-pise-lucca-florencegoogle.html

2 hours is enough for me.

For the train, you can also head to Pisa...

Hi, during our stopover in La Spezia, we went to Pisa with a bus offered by a local agency located in the maritime station when you exit the boat. The ticket is 30 € round trip per person. The bus leaves at 10:00 AM, arrives in Pisa at 11:10 AM, returns at 4:00 PM, and arrives back at the boat at 5:30 PM. There’s a guide on the bus who speaks English, Spanish, and Italian.

Hello, What if we don’t really want to take the road or public transport and our budget isn’t huge—what would you recommend?

Thanks!
