Après avoir travaillé dans l'informatique comme analyste-programmeur, j'ai décidé de changer d'orientation professionelle afin de devenir acteur dans l'aide humanitaire.
Je suis en pleine période de questionnement sur le choix d'une formation.
Je suis un "touche à tout", j'adore apprendre dans tous les domaines et j'aime surtout le contact avec les gens (j'ai déjà travaillé dans le milieu socio-éducatif).
Ne sachant quelle formation choisir, j'aimerais connaître les mêtiers techniques les plus recherchés dans le secteur humanitaire (hydraulique, logistique...).
Si l'un de vous pouvait m'aiguiller, je lui en serait reconnaissant. Ainsi, je pourrais choisir une voix utile...
Déjà il faut savoir que de façon générale les ONG n'ont besoin de personne ! Par là j'entends qu'elles n'ont pas besoin d'envoyer du personnel, elles ont recours au personnel local.
Les seules qui ont braiment besoin de personnes pour des missions sont celles qui s'occupent des situations d'urgence. Dans ce domaine on avant tout besoin de personnel médical et de logisticiens, et éventuellement de mécaniciens, cuisiniers....
tu site parmis les metiers urgents : la cuisine! moi je suis du domaine et cherche depuis tjrs une ONG où je peux valablement operer. pouvez vous m'aider dans ce sens ou tout autre personne pouvant avoir des infos ? merci!!
est -il possible que tu m'aides dans ce sens ? j'ai déjà 10 ans d'expérience professionnelle et je peux parfaitement servir où le besoin peut se faire ressentir.ou bien files moi quelques adresses. Merci pour tout.
je tre conseil le Site du CICR qui recherche en permanances des postes dans de nombreux domaines d'activité que ce soit pour le siège en europe ou sur le terrain (la c'est plus des posts lier à la médecine ou à la gestion d'équipe, de matèriel, admin ...)
Moi aussi, j'étais analyste-programmeur et j'ai changé pour partir en missions humanitaires comme administratrice. Si tu as été formé à l'informatique de gestion, il n'y a pas besoin de faire une autre formation : tu as toutes les bases nécessaires (excepté en gestion de personnel, mais pour ça, en général, tu as l'appui d'un administrateur local).
Sinon, si tu es touche-à-tout, tu es fait pour être logisticien. La logistique, dans le milieu humanitaire, ce n'est pas seulement le transport et le dédouanement. C'est aussi le suivi et l'entretien d'un parc de véhicules, l'installation d'émetteurs radio, la réhabilitation de bâtiments, la gestion des problèmes de sécurité, le suivi de la chaîne de froid dans une campagne de vaccination... En bref, il faut assurer tout l'environnement matériel de la mission.
Il y a 2 formations à ce genre de logistique en France : Bioforce à Lyon et IFAID Aquitaine à Bordeaux. Mais il y a une limite d'âge pour l'inscription. Je ne sais plus si c'est 26 ou 30 ans.
Contrairement à ce qui a pu être dit ailleurs, les ONG ont de gros problèmes de recrutement. Elles sont toujours en manque de volontaires formés. Les admins et les logs ne sont pas si nombreux et avec un de ces deux profils tu es sûr de pouvoir te rendre utile.

J'ai toujours pas compris pourquoi, sous prétexte de loisirs informatiques, on m'a envoyé travailler dans des banques et autres assurances ! lol

D'ailleurs, en allant voir dessus, je me suis rendue compte que certaines infos que je t'avais données étaient erronées. Il faut dire que mes sources sont assez anciennes : mon homme a suivi la formation Bioforce il y a déjà 20 ans !!! Bref, a priori, il n'y a plus d'âge maxi pour intégrer ces formations. Ce serait même le contraire : 22 ans MINI pour Bioforce. Les formations se sont aussi élargies : il y a maintenant plusieurs filières proposées. Pour ce qui est du financement de la formation, le mieux est que tu te renseignes directement auprès d'eux, mais je pense qu'il n'y aura pas de problème : des aides existent.
Un peu comme toi après avoir travaillé dans le précâblage informatique en tant que spécialiste fibre optique je cherche à changer mon orientation professionelle pour m'inserer dans l'aide humanitaire.
Ormis les petites réponses que j'ai pu lire en dessous as-tu eu de bonnes grosses informations ...???
Les métiers logistiques sont me semble-t'il les plus demandés, mais de mon côté je vise vraiment l'hydraulique, si tu as eu des tuyaux merci de m'en faire profiter...

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
