Alors j'ai pour projet de partir à Londres pour travailler, améliorer mon anglais, voir autre chose... Et cela pour une durée de 6 mois minimum!
Je voudrais savoir si vous connaissiez des bons plans pour partir, le budget à prévoir, si le chômage ne touche pas trop Londres en cette période ? si le logement n'est pas trop difficile à trouver et pas trop cher non plus ...
Je voudrais aussi savoir si vous connaissez des associations qui peuvent nous aider à démarrer à Londres ?
Et j'aimerais aussi que des personnes qui sont parties dans le même but que moi me raconte leur expérience, bonne ou mauvaise !

Je suis dans le même cas que toi, je pars à Londres la semaine prochaine et j'aimerais trouver du travail ou une place de stage. Pour l'instant j'ai fait de nombreuses demandes et presque toutes sont restées sans réponses. Pour le logement c'est vraiment difficile (et hasardeux) de chercher à distance. Je pensais aller dans une auberge et chercher une fois là-bas. Tu prévois de partir dans combien de temps et que cherches-tu comme travail?

avec un camarade nous y allons la semaine prochaine a Londres en eurostar pour se loger dans des auberges qu'on a réservé histoire d'observer un peu et prolonger au fur et a mesure.
Théoriquement, tu peut trouvé du travail facilement, les anglais sont moins obsédé que les français, de plus il existe un centres charles peguy qui accueil les jeunes français a les intégrés a Londres.
niveau logement c'est assez chère, plus chère que paris surtout dans la zone 1. rien qu'a 2 pour 2 semaine en auberge on en a eu pour 550€ facile sachant que les loyers sont autour de 800 a 1000 pound, donc plus vite tu a une coloc en appart et plus vous êtes nombreux plus les tarifs sont abordables.
Moi je suis à Londres depuis 1 an et demi et pour t'aider un peu, dans les postes qui recrutent et où tu n'as besoin que d'un anglais de base, tu peux chercher:
- serveur/commis (anglais)
- vendeur (anglais)
- au pair (anglais/français)
- enquêteur téléphonique (français)
- testeur de jeux vidéos (français)
- service clientèle (français)

Logement, comme c'est dit dessous, auberge au début et visite des offres de coloc dès que tu arrives (offres sur gumtree; ici londres; groupes facebook...) compter en moyenne £500 par mois pour une coloc (ça peut plus, ça peut être moins + caution à prévoir). £100 à £130 par mois pour le transport. Budget à prévoir pour partir sereinement, je dirais minimum £2000-3000. Certaines sociétés payent à la semaine, d'autres au mois.
Le centre Péguy peut aider mais ça coûte £60 pour avoir accès aux offres. Personnellement, j'ai envoyé mes candidatures à des agences et entreprises directement, pas envie de payer à l'époque).
Je voudrais partir mi-novembre voire mi-décembre au maximum !
Et je cherches du travail dans tout ... Je prendrai tout ce qui me vient!
Et si je pars avec un budget de 1500 euros c'est suffisant ?
Et pinklady comment ça se passe à Londres ? Tu arrives à vivre malgré le fait que la vie soit trop chère ? Et Londres est une ville qui te plait?

1500€ soit environ £1300 ça me parait trop juste si tu ne trouves pas rapidement de travail dans les premières semaines et comme ce sera l'hiver, tout ce qui est restauration ça ne sera pas facile, basse saison. Je te conseille d'aller directement sur les marchés de Noel à ton arrivée car ils recherchent souvent du personnel.
Le loyer en auberge (ça dépend des auberges bien sûr et du nombre de personnes dans le dortoir) compte £500 pour un mois, transport £100, nourriture £300. Pour vivre, il te faut mini £900 pour vivre un mois; et il te faudra une caution pour une coloc; prévois un budget plus conséquent.
Londres me plait, on y trouve de tout; on peut faire ce qu'on veut quand on veut.
J'ai commencé 2 mois dans comme enquêtrice téléphonique puis depuis j'ai trouvé un poste stable. Au début logement chez l'habitant, puis notre appart.
Salut moi aussi je voudrai partir a Londres au mois de decembre car comme ca je passerai mon nouvel an la bas. Je sais pas encore comment faire. Je comptai passer une annee symbatique (enfin 6 mois) la bas histoire de me changer les idees et d'apprendre l'anglais. J'ai un pote qui y est alle pendant 2 ans et il m'a dit que trouver un taf a Londres c'est pas compliquer mais le plus dure c'est de trouver un logement. Le probleme c'est que tu peux rien trouver tant que t'es pas sur place. Lui il est parti avec une agence et il m'a dit qu'au moins quand il est arrive la bas, il avait une chambre mais l'agence par laquelle il est passe etait pas super. Donc du coup il m'a dit que le mieux c'est de trouver quelqu'un qui est deja la bas. Enfin bref il va essayer de voir ce qu'il peut faire pour moi par rapport a ses potes qui sont encore la bas mais il est pas sure. si tu veux j'essaierai de te tenir au courant sur les solutions qu'il me propose.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
