Je souhaite donner des peluches à Bombay. Je suis donc à la recherche d'adresses d'orphelinats pour BEBES ET ENFANTS EN BAS AGE situés à Bombay si possible pas trop loin du "centre touristique".

Pour quoi faire ?
Les orphelins n'ont pas besoin de peluches... d'une famille, de l'amour, de l'argent, oui, mais de peluches ?!? Quand tu vois la vitesse à laquelle les choses se salissent en Inde, c'est bien la dernière des choses à donner à un petit !
Si tu veux faire bonne oeuvre ou te donner bonne conscience, il est peut-être plus utile d'aller prêter main-forte.

Ces enfants ont besoin d'amour et de tendresse, c'est clair, mais je suppose que tu ne vas pas lacher un container de peluches et te barrer comme une voleuse :) De plus, dans un orphelinat, les enfants ont de l'amour et de la tendresse, parfois même plus que dans certaines familles... Ceci en réponse à l'unique réponse, assez cinglante dont tu as écopé :-)
Le seul orphelinat que je connais est à Bombay mais pas trop proche du centre touristique, je le crains, il s'agit du Home Ste Catherine. Si tu fais des recherches sur ce Home, j'espère que tu en trouveras l'adresse, sinon tu peux aussi demander sur place ? J'ai trouvé l'adresse : St-catherine home Vera Desai road Andheri (près de l'aéroport, loin du centre)
Autre chose : Si jamais tu y vas, tu verras que ce home est vraiment très bien tenu, c'est bien simple, c'était plus propre que chez moi. Mais si jamais un jour quelqu'un veut y donner un coup de main sans être indien, je me rappelle qu'ils m'avaient dit que c'était impossible car ils n'acceptent que des indiens, afin que les gamins aient des racines indiennes, un dialecte de référence, etc. Néanmoins, ils avaient accepté une hollandaise en stage de sociologie... Ils ont un mail et comme ils sont très bien organisés, ils disent n'avoir besoin de rien. Si jamais on insiste, ils m'avaient dit que si je pouvais amener des médicaments en début de voyage (pour ne pas m'alourdir le reste du voyage), c'était bien...
Je ne sais donc pas si les peluches sont les bienvenues, mais à mon avis, tu devrais tout de même tenter. Ma visite au home avait été chargée d'émotion (et je précise que je ne fonds pas en larmes devant le moindre bébé).

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year. Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.). Does anyone know of any contacts, please? Looking forward to your replies. Have a great evening!

We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...
Help us give away at least one of these wheelchairs, turning your trip into a solidarity and humanitarian action.

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
