Il m'est arrivé de me baigner à Hua Hin et j'ai eu la chance de ne pas rencontrer de méduses.
Par ailleurs il me semble qu'il existe des endroits plus atroces et insupportables que la plage de Hua Hin. Même si évidemment on ne va pas comparer avec certaines îles.
C'est certain que l'on peut ne pas rencontrer de méduses mais il faut savoir qu'il y a des périodes où elles sont bien présentes et cela semble être de plus en plus fréquent selon les spécialistes cités dans la presse.

Je n'ai jamais parlé d'un temple chinois. C'est un temple bouddhiste sur un piton rocheux avec des singes.
Bien d'accord à propos de Sam Roy Yot. Je l'ai fait découvrir à des amis en mars de cette année. Ballade en bateau, visite de la grotte et fruits de mer.
Il y a 4 ans je suis allée à Hua Hin, on ne pouvait pas faire deux mètres sur la plage sans rencontré une méduse échouée. 😠
L'eau de la mer est troubles. 🤪
Le week end il y a beaucoup de thaïlandais qui viennent séjourner, donc les plages sont souvent bondées!
Nous avions fait une excursion en bateau pour la journée et au lieu de se baigner, nous avons pêcher.
Je suis aussi allé à Cha Am encore cette année la, et la les militaires nous on aussi interdit catégoriquement la baignade à cause de ces fameux jellyfishs.😮
On nous a dit que la cause de cette infection était dut à la pollution.
Les jellyfishs dites yellows sont plus néfastes que les blanches. Nous avons rencontrer un touriste qui avait dut allé à l’hôpital suite à des grosses piqûres venimeuses. ce n'était pas jolie à voir.🏴☠️
Il y existe d'autres plages paradisiaques et très peu peuplé en Thaïlande.
Il y a deux ans nous avons séjourné coté océan indien et nous avons eu aucun soucis.
Je précise que j'y suis allée en octobre. Nos vacances non pas été gâchés pour autant. Nous avons profité de la piscine de l’hôtel et autres excursions. 🙂

On entend parler en ce moment de la faille d'Indonésie qui rejoindrait une autre, plus petite sur cette cote et l'on aurait remarqué des mouvements anormaux de bancs de poissons après leur tremblement de terre.
Le niveau d'eau semble bas cette année même en marée haute(diff=30cm)

j'ai effectivement eu l'occasion de me rendre au Khao Takiab et de "rencontrer" sa colonie de singes, mais par contre je ne connaissais pas le temple chinois qui s'y trouve.
Le temple chinois dont je parlais est bien à l'autre extrémité de cette plage, donc au centre de HH, juste avant les pilotis.
Et pour ce qui est des baignades, j'ai jusque à présent bénéficié de mon ignorance du risque. Je vais effectivement avoir plus de mal à profiter des baignades maintenant, si du moins l'occasion se présente à nouveau…

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.

It was recently confirmed that this is due to rabies.
The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
Preventive vaccination (of the animals) is being considered.

Once symptoms appear—sometimes weeks or even months later—death is inevitable.
It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
