Ce projet me tiens réellement coeur, en effet, cela serais une chance de pouvoir me rendre utile et de vivre une expérience incroyable et unique. Sans vouloir passer pour un moraliste ou un vieux râleur, j'avoue que je trouve la démarche curieuse, de plus sur un forum publique.. Collecter de l'argent pour l'association et/ou le projet que vous allez aider, c'est tout a fait compréhensible, pour payer un voyage en Asie, je suis plus perplexe. A priori, je ne dois pas être le seul à ne pas comprendre la démarche, vu le montant collecté! Si c'est vraiment l'envie d'aider une association, qui vous motive, sans notion de voyage, il y a des associations surement en bas de votre rue qui ont grandement besoin de bénévoles.
Certains voyages mènent plus vers un destin que vers une destination.
il y a des arnaques en humanitaire mais en écovolontariat, c'est le top.
Alors qu'en Belgique, on te paye pour travailler dans un zoo, à l'étranger, tu paies pour ramasser des crottes.
C'est pas toujours le cas, mais y'a des associations foireuses et d'autres très sérieuses.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

Solidafrica is a recognized humanitarian association of general interest. We donate wheelchairs in Africa. We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
