La zone était en fait infestée, et plusieurs personnes en a découvert sur leur corps. J'en est quand même retiré une quinzaine, ce qui n'est pas anodin. Je sais déja que ces bestioles peuvent refilé des maladies chez nous, alors je n'imagine pas en zone tropicale...
Si quelqu'un ici a déja était confronté à ça dans un pays tropicaux et\ou a des informations\conseils à ce sujet je suis preneur. Je m'inquiète un peu, d'autant plus que ça me démange énormément.

Bonjour, en effet il faut s'en inquiéter, dès ton retour en France va voir ton médecin pour lancer une analyse de sang, car les tiques peuvent transmettre la maladie de Lyme, très grave avec action sur le système nerveux et très longue a soigner.
1. Aux dernières nouvelles, pas de maladie de Lyme au sud du Rio Grande.
2. Il faut enlever les tiques avec une pince particulière et tourner dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre. Arracher grossièrement entraînera sans doute une infection due au fait qu'une partie de la tête restera dans la peau.
3. Consulter un médecin rapidement.

ce qui m'amène à penser que la première règle de base, la ''prévention'' , n'a peut-être pas été respectée. Porter des vêtements longs, chapeau et des chaussures adaptées, utilisation de répulsif si nécessaire.

Consulte un médecin aussi vite que possible, cela véhicule des saloperies soignables dont la maladie de Lyme. Pour les enlever, enduire la bestiole d'huile, ça la fait tomber (je l'ai souvent fait sur mon chien) et surtout de pas arracher! Bon courage
J'ai pris soin de les retirer dès que je m'en suis aperçu, à coup de désinfectant et avec une pince spéciale qu'un gars de mon groupe avait sur lui. J'ai remarqué deux ou trois piqûres qui continuaient à me gratter longtemps, devenue assez rouge, que j'ai continué a désinfecter. J'ai été voir un gars chargé des secours, qui m'a contenté de me dire que je les avaient enlevés correctement et qu'après la désinfection, il n'y a rien à faire...bref.
Je suis rentré tout juste de voyage, et je vais chez le médecin la semaine prochaine faire un Check-up complet...malheureusement, si ces bestioles contenaient des saloperies, je crois que j'ai des chances d'en avoir contracté........
Effectivement, j'avais enlevé mon pantalon long, étant donné que je crevais littéralement de chaud. Oui, on perd vite les bonnes habitudes de base. J'aurais dû le garder. Mais il suffisait d'aller se baigner à la rivière, de remonter au campement et d'en chopper.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
