hi I’m heading to Bali next month with my partner for 12 days. Could you share some must-see sites to visit in Bali, and maybe some tips to make the most of my trip? thanks

I still find it hard to understand why people book a trip without knowing what there is to do there... Why are you going to Bali?...

Because if you don’t like rice terraces, traditional Hindu temples, volcanoes, lush natural landscapes, and you’re dreaming of beaches and lagoons, you might be disappointed...

Hi there,

I’d recommend preparing your trip well and avoiding the south of Bali—its beaches aren’t anything special! You might as well go to Ibiza.

I’ll give you all the info on homestay accommodation near Ubud. I go there every time for the friendly vibe (my hosts even speak French).

Besides the prices and the welcome, you won’t lose out because they can organize lots of excursions based on what you’re into, and they’ll take you right to Ubud. You can even do the rice terrace walk to Ubud with them.

In short, a great spot!

Even if this doesn’t interest you, I’ve written a lot about Bali and always try to share useful info on Ubud, Munduk, and everything worth seeing. You should find what you’re looking for.

One of the issues at KPS is the roosters and the fact that it's really far from Ubud. The 6 days at Dolit's went pretty well overall, plus his guided tours are sprinkled with little jokes and well-placed witty remarks.

Hello,

Okay, that’s your feeling—you’re definitely a city person.

You can’t complain about hearing roosters in the countryside! It’s still better than the noise and pollution in Ubud.

The fact that it’s a bit out of the way was never an issue because they always drive us into town by scooter or car and bring us back. It’s only 9 km.

Well, to each their own...

Have a nice day

Remind me where Épinay is, because even if I’m a city dweller, you don’t exactly have a great sense of direction—I live way out in the sticks, you know, the "real" France (the bottom of the map).

Hi Omega,

I just read that you had some info on Munduk.

Could you please share it, as I’m heading there in May?

So I’m interested in great spots, local activities, and hiking.

Thanks in advance.
Bruno
