je nous présente rapidement. Mon époux vient de se voir offrir une interessante proposition de poste lui permettant une évolution de carrière prometteuse. La seule condition : venir résider en Suisse.
Le poste est à Genève donc il nous faudrait habiter pas loin or nous sommes désespérement CAMPAGNE !!!!
Avec un enfant et deux chiens, je ne nous vois pas habiter à la ville (ce que nous fuyons depuis un moment).
Mes questions dans le désordre :
Je suis infirmière, vais je pouvoir trouver du travail facilement ?
Mon fils a 10 ans il rentre en CM2, faut -il le mettre à l'école française ou à l'école suisse ? sachant qu'on n'y restera pas forcément pour toujours
Peut on envisager d'habiter à la campagne sans qu'il y ait des distances insurmontables de trajet pour aller travailler ?
est-il aisé de trouver une location acceptant les animaux ? ya til des restrictions concernant ces mêmes animaux à l'immgration ?(quarantaine etc..)
à part ça je me réjouis d'avoir l'opportunité d'habiter ce pays si magnifique.
En travaillant à Genève, c'est facile d'habiter en France (petites distances, bonnes routes). A Genève les habitations (maisons et appartements) coûtent très chères, et il en manquent. Tandis qu'en France, vous avez toute une vaste campagne à votre dispostion.
comme vous aurez l'obligation de vivre en Suisse, il y a des chances que le poste proposé à ton époux soit dans le secteur financier... Si c'est une banque, bon nombre d'entres-elles ont des "entrées" dans les régies immobilières. Donc je dirais dans un premier temps, voir avec le futur employeur. Autrement, Genève est la capitale du canton du même nom. Regarde sur www.immostreet.ch. Il y a quelques offres, peu et chères, mais bon....
Pour l'école, je système genevois n'est pas le meilleur. CM2 ca fait quel âge ?.

J'ai regardé le site dont tu m'as parlé et vu le salaire qu'on lui propose les loyers sont exhorbitants.
Notre idée était de mettre mon fils dans une école suisse pour qu'il puisse se faire des amis dans le quartier et profiter pleinement de l'expérience de l'étranger. Mais pour cela il faut que je lui fasse un complément d'enseignement par correspondance pour qu'il suive le programme français pour notre retour.
Nous avons regardé autour de Nyon (je vois que tu es de là bas) et pour une maison (nous avons des chiens) les loyers dépassent la moitié de son salaire. C'est dommage car la soeur de mon époux habite Chambéry !!! à peine 40km de Genève c'eut été l'occasion d'être pas loin..
c'est à réfléchir car si c'est pour nous mettre dans la peine financièrement...

CM2 = 6ème primaire en Suisse, dernière année du cycle primaire en Suisse. Les enfants de CM2 sont un an plus jeunes que les enfants de 6ème primaire.
Si votre séjour n'est que pour quelques années, il vaudrait mieux scolariser votre enfant dans une école privée avec système français. Elles sont nombreuses à Genève et environs, certaines sont abordables, d'autres moins ;-)
Le problème de la région (Genève et arc lémanique) est le manque de logement libre à prix abordables, mais ça vous le savez déjà certainement. Comme infirmière française, vous trouverez sans trop de problème un poste, quitte à passer par une agence intérim dans un premier temps.

travaillant depuis toujours dans le domaine bancaire je sais qu'une des conditions est de vivre en Suisse.
La régie Naef est bien implantée sur la côte et Genève : www.naef.ch.
Mais pour une famille de 3 personnes, 2 chambres, 1 salon, 1 cuisine sont indispensables, avec soit un balcon ou encore un jardin privatif pour les chiens. Les loyers sont malheureusement très cher dans la région.
Pour l'école effectivement c'est le mieux afin que ton fils rencontre rapidement de nouveaux amis. Notre système est un peu l'inverse de la France, puisque nous commençons par la 1ère primaire (6ans) pour terminer en 9ème à 15 ans.
J'ai effectué en grande partie ma scolarité en Valais. Mis à part les langues l'enseignement y est bien meilleur qu'à Genèvea. Genève est très très en retard sur les autres cantons romand. Ma fille et mon neveu suivent tous les 2 une 6ème, ma fille à Nyon, mon neveu à Genève. Aucun rapport entre ces 2 années. Mon neveu a touché des livres que ma fille avait en 4ème.... Sur Vaud la 6ème est décisionnaire.... Genève en 9ème!!!
Regarde n'importe ou, discute avec n'importe qui. Tous ceux qui ont des enfants et testé les 2 systèmes seront d'accord (à noter que j'ai 3 enfants et que les 2 premiers ont suivis dans un premier temps leur scolarité à Genève, avant de poursuivre sur Vaud avec des cours de rattrapage de 2 ans d'école sur 3 mois
Vivement 2010 ou la Suisse Romande et le Tessin disposeront d'un programme uniforme. ENFIN!!!
Bah, ce sont des querelles de clocher. Je ne trouve pas que l'école vaudoise soit un modèle à suivre, ni que l'orientation en 6ème soit une bonne chose. On pourrait discuter longtemps, l'environnement socio-culturel d'un enfant scolarisé en Valais ou à Genève est différent, les modèles ne sont pas transposables. Au final, ils accèdent aux mêmes écoles post-obligatoires, vont dans les mêmes universités, font les mêms études en HES, les mêmes apprentissages. Le bagage global est le même, malgré les petites différences que seuls des Suisses peuvent remarquer. 😎

Pendant l'ère Mitterrand, des employés de banque frontaliers ont été arrêtés à leur passage en France et sommés de donner le nom de leurs clients français qui avaient ouverts des comptes à Genève...
De cette époque date l'obligation pour les employés ayant à faire avec la clientèle étrangère d'habiter en Suisse afin d'éviter ce genre de problèmes.
Pour ce que j'en connais, ce sont surtout les banques privées qui appliquent encore cette règle.
Une chose me surprend tout de même: votre mari va certainement occuper un poste relativement important et pourtant vous nous dites que la moitié de son salaire passerait dans le loyer ? Vous avez dû mal tomber dans vos recherches, parce que cela me semble tout de même très élevé (je parle du loyer, bien sûr) !
En ce qui concerne les chiens, quelques propriétaires privés les interdisent effectivement dans leurs maisons, mais en règle générale, les chiens sont admis dans les appartements. Je ne connais personne dans mon entourage qui ait ce genre d'interdiction.

A vrai dire nous avons un peu "bloqué" sur les loyers car nous recherchions l'équivalent de ce que nous avons ici soit une maison avec trois chambres et un jardin que nous louons 680€/mois. Bien que conscients de notre situation privilégiée, à cause de notre chien nous recherchions au moins un exterieur (cour, jardinet) mais il semble qu'à genève et même autour ça soit impossible. à moins de mettre pas loin de 2500 chf soit la moitié du salaire net de mon mari. Evidemment en appartement la donne change. Reste à voir si le jeu en vaut la chandelle, vu qu'il faudra manifestement mettre mon fils à l'école privée. Là aussi les coûts sont non négligeables.

Il est clair que vous ne trouverez pas une maison à Genève pour le même loyer que vous payez actuellement pour votre maison.
Cependant, je vous conseille de regarder dans la campagne genevoise dans des communes comme Bernex, Confignon, Lully, Avully, ... Les loyers sont un peu plus bas qu'en centre ville et même si vous êtes en appartement votre chien disposera de toute la campagne avoisinante à sa guise. Sinon, vous pouvez aussi chercher sur le canton de Vaud dans les communes qui s'éloignent du bord du lac ou il y a quelques fois de bonnes affaires. Un salaire de 5000.- pour un poste à responsabilité dans le secteur de la finance c'est vraiment très très peu.... même sans expérience...🤪... Il semble que quelque chose ne joue pas dans ton histoire...
Pour des logements moins chers, je vous conseille de laisser tomber Genève ville et canton et de regarder sur le canton de Vaud. Les villages de la Côte et les premières hauteurs du jura à environ 1 heure de Genève offrent des possibilités de se loger pour moins cher, tout en étant à la campagne...

C'est bien ce que je pensais: un salaire pareil, c'est carrément du foutage de g.... dans le milieu de la finance !
Vous n'y seriez jamais arrivés avec un montant pareil. Ce n'était sûrement pas une entreprise très respectable pour oser proposer un tel salaire. Certains DRH tablent sur la méconnaissance de nos salaires et font miroiter l'équivalent en euros, sans évoquer le coût réel de la vie en Suisse.

J'habite et travaille à Lausanne dans le domaine de la recherche.
Première réponse si la condition est d'habiter en Suisse il est toujours possible effectivement de s'établir dans le canton de Vaud, plutôt qu'à Genève. Les loyers sont aussi élevés mais bien moins qu'à Genève!
La suisse est un pays très "campagne"!!! tu devrais donc t'y plaire! A lausanne il suffit de faire 5 minutes de voiture pour être dans les bois et les champs.
De nombreuses personnes font les trajets Lausanne-genève en train (35 minutes). A voir! Il faut savoir que faire les trajets vers Genève par la route aux heures de pointe est vraiment un cauchemar!!!!!
Deuxième point: OUI je pense que tu trouveras très facilement un travail!!!!! que ce soit aux HUG (Genève) ou au CHUV (Lausanne), de nombreuses infirmières sont étrangères.
Enfin pour ton fils je pense qu'une école française serait mieux car le système suisse n'est pas tout à fait le même que chez nous (maturité suisse = "baccalauréat" local non reconnu notamment en France il me semble!).

Effectivement, le salaire proposé est vraiment très faible pour le secteur de la finance.
Vous trouverez sur cette page une moyenne des salaires proposés par secteur en Suisse, et vous verrez que vous êtes plutôt loin de la moyenne (regardez également en bas de page, il y a des liens vers d'excellents calculateurs de salaires).
En tant que professionnel de l'expatriation et du travail en Suisse, mon conseil est de bien valider la proposition de salaires qu'on vous fait, en vous renseignant au maximum sur les salaires locaux.
Autre outil qui pourrait vous aider : un générateur de feuilles de salaire, qui vous permettra d'estimer le montant de votre salaire net en fonction de la proposition qu'on vous fera (en brut annuel en général), et surtout vous pourrez avoir une explication de votre feuille de salaire (du moins votre mari) :
