bonsoir! je suis française né en france , lui est algérien , depuis notre rencontre on s'aime ça ete un coup de foudre depuis deja un an quil m'aime et le destin a fait que ce mois ci on a decider de se voir et se fiancé telement on s'aime , il aimerait venir me voir en avril ici en france et par la meme occasion nous voulons nous marier ici en france! cest pour cela que jaimerai que notre relation avance qd il viendra en france en avril mais il faut quil demande un visa mais lequel car il y en a pleins apparement 🤪 , il a son travail en algérie et viendra pdt ses congés ici pour me rejoindre, apres il repartira et inchallah on sera marier et ensuite qd il reviendra ça sera définitif qd il quittera son travail de la bas pour que lon vive enfin ensemble!alors cela est il compliquer de pouvoir se marier avc la personne que l'on a choisi et que lon aime ds une mairie en france ? (car d'apres ce que je voi oui ..) et meme apres qd il va revenir pour vivre ici il faudra que l'on fasse comment ?

Quelques renseignements par le ouï-dire,
Il y a plusieurs sortes de visas bien sûr :
1) visa mariage ou rassemblement familiale,
dans ce cas là vous pouvez vous marier en Algérie: faire l’acte de mariage (il faut faire attention aux interviews avec la police ou la gendarmerie quand on fait les papier ; en tout cas au Maroc: il faut pas dire que vous faite l’amour avant, il faut tout simplement dire qu’on s’aime) et faire aussi une petite fête avec des photos parfois on vous les demande au consulat , puis demander un rendez vous au consulat de France en Algérie, vous serez interrogés chacun son tours individuellement : ‘ ils peuvent vous demander pour quoi vous avez décider de vivre en France ? vous êtes sur que votre homme ne cherche que les papiers et pas l’amour ?...
Après vous aller rentrer en France toute seule et déposer votre dossier pour avoir le livret de Famille, et une fois que vous l’aurez ça aidera beaucoup votre conjoint de vous rejoindre après.
2) visa touriste,
Dans ce cas là, il est très fortement conseiller que vous même ne (jouez) aucun rôle : votre nom sera un problème dans les papiers de votre conjoint.
Il suffit tout simplement que votre conjoint ait une attestation d’hébergement envoyé par une famille ou un monsieur (par vous-même ça risque d’être un problème). Il doit prouver aussi qu’il gagne sa vie chez lui : attestation de travail, relevés bancaires, …
J’avoue moi aussi que c'est TRES difficile pour avoir ce fameux visa !
J’ai jamais essayé ce type de visa, mais j’ai beaucoup entendu parler de genres de problèmes de visa...je crois que la France a raison quelques parts car beaucoup de monde (surtout les africains veulent tout faire pour aller là-bas, comme vous le savez bien sur. Et je crois que c’est pour ça c’est dure d’avoir un visa.
« Mais impossible n’est pas français », « il faut jamais se dire jamais ».
Heureusement que l’amour est solide plus que les formalités administratives !

Bonjour, si il a la chance d'avoir un travail, ses centres d'intérèt sont en Algérie, donc il serait plus normal que tu ailles le rejoindre pour vivre en Algérie avec lui.C'est ce qu'on appelle du regroupement familial. Ce sera bien plus rapide car avec le renforcement des controles pour mariage
arrangé tu risques d'attendre longtemps pour le faire venir en France.

Je te donne qques infos pour que tout soit clair ! Il y a de très fortes chances qu'il n'obtiendra pas de visa (sauf si il occupe un poste très élevé, bcp de garanties, un compte en banque bien garni, etc....) ! Même avec un visa pas de mariage en France, aucun maire ne se risquera de célébrer un mariage mixte dans de telles conditions !
Tu seras obligée de suivre tout simplement la procédure dans les règles imposés par l'Algérie et la France !
Tu ne peux que te marier en France, après avoir obtenu le CERTIFICAT DE CAPACITE DE MARIAGE par le consulat de France en Algérie et avoir obtenu l'autorisation de mariage par la Wilaya de ton ami (service des étrangers)... Ces documents mettront du temps !! Lors de l'enquête par le Consulat (entretien très poussé) il va falloir prouver (avec bilelts, visas, ...) que vous vous êtes rencontrés à plusieurs reprises en Algérie !!
Attention aussi à la différence d'âge et le moyen de rencontre !!!
Avec ces documents, tu pourras te marier à la mairie en Algérie et puis ensuite il y aura un envoi d'un dossier très complet auprès des services de Nantes pour la demande de transcription du mariage !! Une fois obtenu le livret de famille france, ton mari pourra déposer une demande de visa "conjoint".... tout cela pourra prendre entre 6 mois à 12 mois....
Si tu es pressée, il va falloir attendre et pourquoi pas vivre en Algérie !

même pour un visa touristique, ça devient très difficile pour les algériens de venir en france surtout s'il n'a jamais eu auparavant de visa shengen.
conseil : si tu lui fais un certificat d'hebergement à ton nom, ils vont voir que tu es celibataire et au consulat ils risquent de ne pas donner de visa à ton fiancé...
fais le faire par quelqu'un de ta famille, un homme c'est mieux...

PS : ça coute 60 euros de frais de dossier et même en cas de refus, tu ne revois pas la couleur de l'argent. ensuite il faudra une assurance rapatriement, dans les 50 - 70 euros en plus
Ce n'est pas aussi simple que tu le penses, il faut d'abord qu'il puisse avoir son visa
ensuite il faut réunir tous les papiers pour le mariage, puis il y aura une enquete sur vous 2. suivant le résultat le mariage peut être refusé par les autorités Françaises.
Tout cela va prendre beaucoup de temps donc ne te fixe pas une date car tu risques d'être décu. Sinon comme certain te l'on déja dit va te marier en Algérie, ensuite il faudra attendre de toute façon pour qu'il puisse venir en France.

Tu n'as pas la possibilité de te marier en France !!! Aucun maire pourra se le permettre et dans tous les cas, il faudrait qu'il obtienne l'autorisation du Préfet ! Alors qu'imagines-tu ???
Le CCM tu ne l'obtient pas aussi rapidement, puisqu'il faudra déjà obtenir le RV et cela va prendre du temps ! Commences à téléphoner au Consulat de France en Algérie pour avoir ce fameux RV ! Par contre, comme je te l'ai déjà dit, si tu ne connais rien sur sa famille, ses amis, son lieu de travail et de vie, etc.... comment tu vas pouvoir répondre aux nombreuses questions variées au Consulat ! Tu auras droit lors du RV à un long entretien tout seul, puis lui à son tour, la personne qui vous recoit va comparer vos réponses, ensuite il va vous recevoir ensemble, et puis il faudra attendre env. 2 mois pour l'obtenir !
N'oublies pas non plus que ton ami doit faire des démarches à la Wilaya (police, ....) pour déposer une autorisation de mariage !!!
Alors tu peux fixer à peu près une date mais quand tu auras eu ton RV du CCM ! Mais encore n'oublies pas qu'il va falloir que tu prouves tu es venue plusieurs fois pour rencontrer ton futur mari !!! Tu viendras pour le CCM et ensuite tu reviendras en Algérie, quand tout le dossier est complet pour te marier à la mairie !!!
Si tu t'y prends dès début janvier tu pourrais peut-être espérer te marier vers l'été et il pourra te rejoindre en automne si tout va bien !!!

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?
