Hi there, we're leaving on January 30th for a Caribbean cruise—there are four couples in our group—and we'd like to organize our own stopovers.

Do you have any great tips for visiting each island, with a preference for landscapes over beaches? Which island has buses to get around, or options for 4x4s/taxis? We're open to all your ideas!

Hi there, at the exit of every port there are lots of taxis—shared or private—that offer different tours. You can also give them your itinerary, and they’ll often adapt to it.

Good evening, Our stopovers are Tobago/Grenada/Tortola/Saint Kitts/Roseau/Saint Martin, from 8 AM to 6 PM. I think it’s best to plan the excursion in the morning to make sure we’re back on the ship on time. For Fort-de-France and Pointe-à-Pitre, the stopovers are from 8 AM to 9 PM. How do payments work? Do taxis or buses accept bank cards? Someone recommended the Revolut card, which works for all currencies. Thanks so much for your advice!

Hi, Our cruise feels like ages ago, but I remember that in Saint Martin (Dutch side), everything was really close by. I can only recommend checking out the website—I found info on buses back then, though I can’t remember which stop(s) it was for. Compared to your cruise, we had Tortola and Saint Martin (amazing!) in common. 🤪 Have a great cruise.

Hello, Our cruise is still a long way off, but I remember that in Saint Martin (Dutch side), everything was nearby. I can only recommend checking out the website—I found info on buses back then, but unfortunately, I don’t remember which stopover(s) it was for. Compared to your cruise, we had Tortola and St. Martin (awesome!) in common. 🤪 Have a great cruise.

Thanks for the info! I think at every stop, we’ll have taxis and buses waiting for cruisers.
