Si tu as des doutes d'être enceinte, c'est probablement mieux de ne pas prendre ta malarone, anyway en Thailande tu n'as pas besoin de ca. Et lors de mon voyage en novembre 2006, j'ai vu des femmes enceintes qui voyageaient, alors pas de problème. Et je repars bientot avec mon bébé de 4 mois (tu vas voir, il y a beaucoup de monde qui voyage avec de jeunes enfants), alors il n'y a vraiment pas de trouble! C'est juste plate que tu ne pourras pas boire de singha beer à volonté!!! Le seul inconvénient p-e est que tu seras fatigué plus vite (j'étais toujours crevé les 2 premiers mois de grossesse), alors prends ca plus relax et hydrate toi bien!

Quelque soit l'endroit ou l'on va, enceinte il est toujours conseillé d'être prudent, sutout en début de grossesse.
Si c'est la première fois que tu vas en thailand, à retenir :
Hygiène alimentaire, hygiène de l’eau : l’eau distribuée par les réseaux d’alimentation ordinaire n’est pas potable: préférer les eaux en bouteilles capsulées. A défaut, filtrer l’eau et la faire bouillir avant consommation. Evite la consommation de poisson de viande et de volailles crus.
Notre fils de 2 ans avait attrapé la salmonelle (peut être éviter les oeufs, demande conseil)
Pour ma part, j'étais enceinte de quelques jours lorsque je me suis rendue 3 semaines en Thailand et sur les iles, je n'ai pa eu de soucis. Je ne me suis pas fais vaccinée - il faut rester vigilent et suivre les conseils de ton médecin.
La thailand est un pays merveilleux, bon voyage 😉

J'ai fait le test de grossesse de Matias à Hanoi, et Anouk a été conçue au début d'un séjour de 5 semaines en Birmanie... Stan, quant à lui, a été plus simplement conçu en Tunisie..Nos potes nous demandent tjrs maintenant quand on part en voyage si on va faire le 4è! Tout s'est super bien passé à chaque fois et, même si je n'arrêtais pas de dormir à la baie d'Halong (!), j'ai fait du char à boeufs en Birmanie... Cela étant, chaque femme est différente, et la peur n'évite pas le danger: va faire une prise de sang (ton médecin te fera une ordonnance, même après) et tu seras fixée. La grossesse n'est pas une maladie, mais le 1er trimestre est celui où tous les organes de ton bébé se forment, et où tu peux prendre très peu de médicaments (l'aspirine, par exemple, est interdit), si tu n'as pas eu la toxo, tu ne devras pas manger de crudités ou de fruits avec la peau, etc..; mieux vaut le savoir et partir en toute connaissance de cause, pour bien profiter de ton voyage.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
