Bien il semble que l'Aventure recommence et cette fois il ne s'agit pas d'une destination choisie, on me propose un poste intéressant à Haiti, plus précisément à pétionville.
J'aimerais tout renseignements sur ce coin du monde, comme il ne s'agit pas d'une destination très populaire mes sources d'informations habituelles me font défault et plusieures autres sont contradictoires. Par exemple quelqu'un peux me confirmer s'il s'agit vraiment d'une commune de PAP à proximité de cité soleil? ou une banlieu plus éloignée?
J'en vois déjà sourcieller.. oui je m'inquiète et le nom cité-soleil me fait un peu peur. Comment pourrais-je faire autrement avec le lavage de cerveau que les médias nous font et sa célèbre réputation?
Question sécurité donc (quoi d'autre!), ce qui m'inquiète est que pour ce voyage je ne part pas les «pieds nus» sac au dos à loger chez l'habitant tout en essayant de me fondre dans le décor. J'irais en m'affichant comme employée d'une entreprise d'ingénérie multinationale (pauvre stagiaire en réalité). Voila ce qui m'inquiète. Des opinions, conseils...???

Je répond un peu tard peut être, mais je pense pvr te donner qq infos. Je suis d'origine Haitienne, et je m'y suis donc rendu en 2004. Ma famille vie a cité soleil là bas, j'y est séjourné, et aussi a Carrefour d'ailleur ( un autre quartier un pe plus tranquille).
J' ai aussi été a pétionville, pas très loin de cité soleil mais radicalement différente. J'ai été surprise de voir de magnifique villa là bas, des magasins ( attention rien à voir avec les galeries lafayette...mais tout de même), et des blancs...
Cela dis, cité soleil c'est le ghettos...mais j'ai jamais eu aucun problèmes, malgré le faite que je ne fasse pas du tout local.
je rejoins l'avis de prince, pétionville est relativement éloigné de cité soleil, tu n'y retrouvera pas la violence que l'on peut rencontrer la bas, c'est un quartier sur les hauteurs de port au prince ou les villas des haitiens aisés et des quelques expatriés quotoient les commerces, resto mais aussi la misère (même a pétionville elle est présente).
concernant les coupures d'électricité cela n'est plus si fréquent mais ca arrive en soirée 1 à 2 fois par semaine.
Donc si tu loge et travail a pétionville, pas de problème, en revanche si tu dois traverser d'autres quartier pour te rendre au travail, selon les routes, ca peux être un peu plus embetant.
Quand dois tu partir?
si tu le souhaite communique moi ton mail perso, je pourrai t'y envoyer l'adresse et le mail d'une personne qui habite delmas, tout proche de pétionville (sa mère tient plusieurs crèche dans la région, PaP et canapé vert), je joindrai également quelques photos tu aura une idée un peu plus précise d'ou tu met les pieds.
Perso, j'y étais en juillet 2005, en pleine crise d'enlèvement dans la capitale, avec un peu de prudence, y'a pas eu de souci.
tu as tout a fait raison sur l'impact des médias, au début en arrivant la bas tu commence a frissoner dès que tu vois un homme armé (qui n'est en fait qu'un garde au service d'un commerce) ou que ta voiture est a l'arret dans un embouteillage, parce que tu n'as que les repères transmis par les médias: oulala les gangs, les enlèvements...apres quelques temps on se détend, ca fait partie du quotidien et on n'interprète plus cela de la même manière. Bien sûr la prudence s'impose tout de même, mais comme dans de nombreux pays du tiers, le peuple haitien est accueillant et généreux.
allez pour finir sur une note plus légère le resto "le coquillage" a pétionville est excellent!!!

je reviens d'Haiti, j'étais logée à proximité de Pétion Ville. C'est plutot calme en ce moment. Précautions d'usage le soir et dans certains quartiers. A savoir, les embouteillages sont habituels et il vaut mieux ne pas habiter trop loin du travail. Même à pied il est assez difficile de circuler dans les rues. Sinon de super week end en perspectives, la montagne, la campagne ou la mer, c'est magnifique.

Je suis petion villois de naissance(haitien), resident maintenant au Québec, je suis entrain de faire un stageaux iles de la Madeleine dans la region de Gaspesie. donc en ce sens je connait très bien Pétion ville. j'y etais aussi fevrier dernier et j'irai pour le mois de novembre.
si c'est possible j'aimerais savoir l'endroit c'est à dire le nom de la localité ou tu vas habiter pour voir est ce que c'est dangereux, petion est tres eloignée de cité soleil et c'est un coin tranquille. mais si tu dois te deplacer beaucoup il faut que tu as une voiture ou un guide que tu fais confiance pour ne pas te perdre.

oui je veux car je connais pas de zone en Haïti presque dans tout les departement mais ce non lé je l'ai jamais enttendu alors si toutefois tu as d'autre indice je vais voir ce que je pourrais faire. mais je ce non est plutôt espagnole et je ne crois pas qu'il ce trouve a proximité de Port-au-Prince.

Je vis en Haiti depuis maintenant 13 ans et n'ai jamais rencontre de gros probleme, j'habite Delmas entre petion ville et cite soleil et puis te dire qu'il y a un bon bout de chemin, je traverse chaque jour cite soleil par la national vitre baissee et je n'ai jamais rencontre de probleme.
PaP est relativement calme en ce moment et ton sejour en vaut la peine.
Retire tous les prejuges que tu as et sache aussi que la grande majorite d'etranger qui debarque ici sont dans l' humanitaire, UN ou projet de reconstruction (ingenierie), etc., une "pauvre" stagiaire devrait se morfondre dans le decor sans probleme
