Je vis depuis 1an et demi à pointe noire Congo ou je ne me plais pas du tout
(ville que je trouve moche et sale et pas de plage pratiquable a moins d'avoir une case...sans compter les rapports très futils entre femmes d'expat), j'envisage même de rentrer en france.
Mais voilà, on propose une évolution de poste à mon homme à POG ... j'ai peur d'accepter et de vivre la même déception qu'à pointe noire.
Quelqu'un a t'il vécu aux deux endroits et pourrait me dire si c'est pire ou mieux à POG (Sachant que je suis plus campagne que ville, que je ne suis pas passionnée de manucure, coiffeur, café commère et qu'ici je suis désespérement en manque de vrais rapports humains.....je vois énormément de monde entre mon boulot et l'école, mais pas de vraie amitié)
Il parait que la population locale y est plus froide .

Je vis à POG depuis le mois de Mai. J'ai été un peu impressionné au début par l'état général de la ville (a ville n'est pas très reluisante non plus et n'y très haussmannienne !) mais je me suis faîte vite. C'est notre 1ère expatriation.
Je me suis pas mal occupée entre la recherche d'une maison, son ameublement, la déco ... et puis j'ai eu la chance d'obtenir un poste d'instit dans une des écoles française. Mon planning est donc depuis début septembre assez chargé et je n'ai pas trop le temps de m'occuper des futilités entre femmes d'expat ici. Mais à ce que j'entends et vois, malheureusement, je crois qu'il y en a. Il suffit de fuir tout ça et de ne pas adhérer à des espèces de groupe !!
En tout cas, j'ai eu l'opportunité d'aller à Pointe-Noire 3 jours pour notre sortie du territoire afin d'obtenir notre carte de séjour.
Je peux donc comparer un petite peu même si je n'y vis pas vraiment.
J'ai trouvé que Pointe-Noire était vachement plus sympa pour pas mal de choses : on peut diner au quartier (on est allé diner chez Joseph, c'est ça), il y a des glaciers, plus de boutiques, le bord de plage est aménagé avec plein de petits restos et bars avec même des jeux pour les gamins (on a une petite fille de 3 ans donc c'est des choses qui compte pour moi), y'a une librairie, un cinéma ... et les gens m'ont paru plus sympa, plus souriant, plus agréable.
A POG, les locaux ne sont pas super agréables, assez froid en général, il tire la tronche tout le temps et ce sont des fainéants, c'est assez impressionnant ! Donc il y a des jours, surtout quand tu vas dans une administration, tu as en vraiment marre. Mais ce n'est pas une généralité ; il y a des gentils aussi; Ma ménagère est top mais elle a du sang sénégalais donc c'ets pour ça qu'elle sourit tout le temps, ma nounou aussi est top mais elle a du sang français et congolais !
Sinon, pour parler de la ville en elle-même. Il n'y a pas plein de boutiques à part les boutiques libanaises ou locales mais ceci dit la ville se développe. Les rues sont goudronnées, ils refont les égouts. Une boutiques Celio vient de s'installer, 3 lieux de sorties se sont ouverts récemment (un bar à vin, un bar lounge et un salon de thé/café). Après, il n'y a pas moyen d'aller au quartier de nuit, ce n'est pas trop recommandé mais en revanche, il y a plein de restos sympas où on peut diner comme le Copacabana pour parler local pas trop cher. Il n'y a pas de glacier, ni de librairie, ni de cinéma à Port-Gentil, pas de bord de plages aménagés dans la ville. Il y a seulement ce qu'on appelle ici la plage de la Sogara où il y a un espèce de club avec un petit resto plutôt type snack mais en tout cas, c'est très propre et la plage n'est pas aussi violente qu'elle ne peut l'être de l'autre côté de la pointe, au Cap Lopez, ou comme à Pointe-Noire. En effet, il y a une partie de la ville dans un espèce de golf donc protéger des violentes marées ! Mais l'inconvénient c'est que le samedi et le dimanche surtout tout Port-Gentil y va donc tous les expats ... donc parfois, c'est pas hyper cool !
L'idéal, c'est d'investir dans un petit bateau pour aller pic-niquer et passer la journée sur des plages paradisiaques pas très loin de la Sogara mais inaccessible par voie terrestre. C'ets ce qu'on a fait et c'est top !
Voilà, j'espère que je t'aurais un peu aidé. Je crois que c'est différent ici. Y'a du bien et du moins bien mais on y trouve notre compte. Je connais des gens qui ont vécu à Pointe-Noire et en général, ils apprécient moins de vivre ici. Lol ... dur dur ...

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
