Actuellement je suis en train de monter, avec un groupe de Français, une assocation destinée à l'aide au développement du secteur éducatif dans les régions les plus pauvres du Pérou. Un projet qui me tient à coeur de par mon métier et quand on sait le nombre d'enfants des rues péruviens ou la difficulté de poursuivre une scolarité entière souvent par manque d'infrastructures.
Franco-péruvien, je vis en France et est effectué plusieurs voyages au pays des Incas ;-). Les nombreux contacts que j'ai sur place sont naturellement de la famille, des amis ainsi que des interlocuteurs péruviens : Ce projet se concentre (pour l'instant) sur les bidonvilles de Lima, la capitale, ainsi que les zones pauvres de Trujillo (au Nord) et dans la bordure de la région amazonienne. Il pourra consister en la recherche d'aide au financement, au montage de projets de construction mais aussi, et il me semble que c'est important, au suivi du développement d'un l'établissement.
Ainsi l'assos pourra soit contribuer à aider des établissement déjà existants (et mis en place par ces interlocuteurs péruviens du monde associatif) dans ces bidonvilles ou zones déshéritées, soit l'assos pourra aussi s'investir dans la naissance d'infrastructures scolaires (on commence souvent par les petites classes pour agrandir au fur et à mesure que les enfants grandissent). Ce projet humanitaire se fait en coopération avec le ministère de l'Education péruvien.
L'association en création va être installée en France fin 2012, courant 2013. Ce projet humanitaire ne peut s'inscrire dans la durée que s'il est soutenu, c'est pourquoi je fais appelle à vous amigos (as) ! si vous avez des conseils à donner, des idées à suggérer ou souhaitez en parler par curiosité, ou même nous rejoindre!.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
