Je projette de prendre une année sabatique (à compter de mai 2008) pour me joindre à un organisme humanitaire. Je suis donc à la recherche d'un projet humanitaire sérieux et assez bien organisé auquel je pourrais me joindre.
Je n'ai pas de préférence en terme de pays; il y a tant d'endroits qui sont dans le besoin ! Je peux enseigner le français ou l'anglais, construire des écoles, creuser des puits, donner des soins de base, aider à mettre sur pied une coopérative, etc.
Aussi, comme j'ai certaines obligations financières qui ne pourront attendre mon retour, est-ce qu'il existe des programmes qui permettent de recevoir ne serait-ce qu'un salaire minime ?

Je suis membre de l’association des scouts du Sénégal (SDS) affilié à l’organisation mondiale du mouvement scout (OMMS). Notre association est un mouvement d’auto éducation, de bénévolat fondée sur les règles et la méthode du scoutisme mondiale.
Au niveau de l’équipe nationale scout, il y’a actuellement des projets qui sont en cours et qui œuvrent pour la construction d’un monde meilleurs. C’est ainsi que le fondateur le Général Robert Stéphanson Smith Baden Powel, dans son dernier message disait : « Essayer de rendre le monde plus meilleur que vous ne l’avait trouvé»

•Projets locaux initiés par les groupes de base : Sensibilisation, assistance, animation, alphabétisation fonctionnelle des jeunes adolescents à Louga avec l'ONG Wold vision
•Centre de vacances et d'expérimentation maraîchère à Niakoulrap à Dakar avec l'appui de l'ambassade d'Espagne et des scouts Catalans (Espagne)
•Un projet d'aide humanitaire avec les scouts de France (construction et équipement de postes de santé à Maya dans les îles du Saloum avec formation aux soins de santé primaires, à Potou ( région de Louga), réfection d'une école à Djirnda ( Iles du Saloum), de la Bibliothèque à l'école primaire des HLM de Ziguinchor et à la paroisse de la Cathédrale de Dakar.
•Centre polyvalent scout Anne Lebelle de Potou ( 35 Km à l'ouest de Louga) comprenant les unités suivantes : Centre maraîcher Centre d'accueil et de formation. Poste de santé
•Un projet d'insertion des jeunes avec la fondation Jean Paul II pour le Sahel, la Fondation Friedrich EBERT et YMCA Sénégal.
•Un projet d'éducation aux droits humains, à la compréhension, à la tolérance et à la paix. à Ziguinchor avec Handicap International à Dakar avec le CAHEDUC, YMCA Sénégal et la mission de coopération Française.
•Projet sur la prévention et l'accompagnement des malades du SIDA, avec ONU – SIDA

Sinon, pour ce qui est de vos obligations financières, il y’a l’agence canadienne IRDC et ACDI qui offrent des possibilités de stages rémunérés ou bourses de recherches pour les étudiants canadiens du 2em ou 3eme cycles par rapport à des actions de développement dans les pays du Sud.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

After 8 months of volunteering in Tanzania at a center for street children, I’d like to go back for a year in the same kind of role—this time in Burkina. Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
