Notre budget est un peu limité (étudiantes) Et nous ne connaissons pas grand chose à propos des autres moyens de transport que l'avion. Le TGV, le train, autobus...cout dispendieux ou non?
Le voyage est prévu pour fin mai.
Est-ce mieux de passer par les tour opérateur ou encore faire les auberges de jeunesse, chez l'habitant ou les B&B? J'ai entendu parler des monsatères en Italie? C'est bien ou non?
Alors que nous suggérez-vous comme deuxième pays en Europe? Et quelles sont les choses à faire, visiter..
Pas de tour operator, fais tout toute seule, ce sera bien plus bon marche et de plus rien n'est complique. Tu te pointes a la gare et tu demandes ton ticket.
Pour le logement, tu as de tout en Europe. Il existe en Europe un circuit d'auberges de jeunesses. Si ta copine est a Paris un mois avant, elle n'a qu'a se rendre dans une auberge et demander les papiers necessaires. Si je ne m'abuse, tu devras payer une somme modique pour faire partie des auberges de jeunesses...
Demander ce qui est bien comme pays en Europe, c'est un peu comme demander ce qui est bien en Amerique du Nord. Tu as de tout et pour tous les gouts. Tout depend des tiens. Pour ma part, je te conseillerais l'Italie. Rome est tres chere (comme Paris) mais la Toscane est magnifique, le sud splendide... enfin a toi de voir. Il y a aussi mon pays d'origine, l'Espagne qui te reviendra certainement moins cher. Evite la cote mediterraneenne et tu passeras un beau sejour (sauf si t'aime le tourisme de masse). Madrid, Seville, Grenade, etc. La Hongrie est magnifique aussi. Elle vient d'entrer dans l'Union Europeenne, Budapest est absolument fantastique. La Tchequie et Prague, un bijoux! L'ancienne Europe de l'Est est probablement la ou tu seras le plus depaysee et ou les choses seront le moins "dispendieuses" (j'adore cette expression de chez vous).

au départ, je voulais faire exactement le meme voyage que vous autres, c'est à dire aller faire le tour de l'Europe en TGV pour pouvoir visiter tous les capitales et grandes villes intéressante. Après avoir fait plusieurs recherches, je me suis rendu compte que le TGV est assez dispendieux la passe coute environ 199 Euro ca pas mal pour nous avec le taux de change. Je trouve que la meilleur facon de pouvoir profiter de tous, est de trouver un coins de pays et de bien prendre le temps de tous visiter. Il y a tellement de chose à voir en Europe. Par exemple, il serait facile de pouvoir passer 2 semaine seulement dans les Alpes francaise ou bien en Belgique .... Je vous conseil de bien choisir le secteur ou vous voulez aller et d'en profiter au max !! 🙂 En plus ca va vous couter moins cher de transport et vous allez perdre moins de temps en déplacement. Si jamais vous avez des informations intéressante sur l'Europe, j'aimerais que vous m'en fasiez par car j'en suis à peu prêt au meme point que vous. Je prévois partir du 15 au 30 avril et à chaque fois que je regarde des guides touristiques j'en découvre toujours plus alors je ne sais pas trop dans quel coins aller.
Idée à creuser également: les compagnies aériennes Low cost. Je connais principalement Ryan Air (qui décolle de Charleroi, près de chez moi) tu vas partout en Europe pour quelques dizaines d'Euros (dans des villes secondaires, mais intéressantes) exemple: au départ de Charleroi: Venise, Barcelone, Stockholm: 15€
Question pays, il y a aussi le Portugal (beaucoup moins cher que l'Italie)
Visiter l'Europe en deux semaines, c'est comme visiter toute l'Amerique du Nord en 1 semaine. C'est-a-dire que tu vas passer a cote de tout et ne rien voir si ce n'est ce que tu peux voir dans les depliants touristiques.
Les visites a la japonaise vous laisseront un sentiment de frustration enorme. N'oubliez pas que l'Europe est composee de pays tres differents les uns des autres, avec langues, coutumes et habitudes differentes.
Ce n'est pas comme le Canada ou les USA qui bien qu'ayant des differences entre etats (dans le cas du Canada, il y a aussi la langue), se regroupent autour d'une meme langue et plus ou moins une meme culture. En Europe, Lisbonne n'a rien a voir avec Londres. Et pourtant ces deux capitales meritent a elles seules 2 semaines chacunes... Tout comme Rome et Athenes... enfin la il vous faudrait un mois pour chacune... Entre Budapest et Prague, je ne saurais que choisir... Berlin, Amsterdam, et tant d'autres. Il y a des villes qui permettent des sejours de 2 jours mais y aller vous prendra deja une journee entiere. L'Europe est grande, bon OK, c'est pas le Canada, mais entre Athenes et Lisbonne il doit bien y avoir 4 ou 5.000 kilometres.
Vous devriez peut-etre nous dire quels sont vos centres d'interet pour mieux cerner ce qui vous conviendra le mieux.
A votre place je choisirais deux destinations maximum et essaierais de bien exploiter chacune. Mais bon, je ne suis pas a votre place.

A votre place, je choisirais Rome parce que c'est simplement une des 2 plus belles villes du monde (a mon gout evidemment), berceau de notre civilisation avec Athenes (des tonnes de choses a visiter), Budapest ou Prague pour l'Europe de l'Est, magnifique et encore tres abordable et puis un crochet a Lisbonne pour savourer vos derniers jours en Europe en douceur...
Maintenant si vous desirez vraiment choisir de voir un maximum de villes, je le ferais en avion (il doit bien exister des forfaits Europe???) et passerais 2 ou 3 jours dans chaque ville (mais vous serez mortes a la fin...) et irais a: Londres, Rome, Amsterdam, Budapest, Madrid, Lisbonne et Berlin. Mais je vous le deconseille...
Quand a vous deplacer en train et voir un maximum, je crains que vous ne voyiez un maximum de couloirs de trains et rien d'Europe. Car si vous comptez aller de Paris a Madrid par exemple, il vous faut 2 jours (une vingtaines d'heures) rien que pour le trajet (1.400 kilometres a peu pres), et de Madrid a Rome... au moins 2 jours... Ne le faites surtout pas en train sauf si vous avez une ou deux destinations. Renseignez vous sur les durees de deplacement. Les durees que je mentionne, je le fais sans aucune certitude, si quelqu'un a de bonnes infos qu'il parle!
Les TGV ne vont pas partout, ils sont tres limites ici et tres "dispendieux" sauf le Paris-Bruxelles (Thalys) qui est assez bon marche.
Je vois que ce que je pensais est bien, ne pas visiter l'Europe en 2 semaines...Surtout ne pas voir plus d'un pays par semaine au minimum...

Essaie la Croatie! C'est juste en face de l'Italie et c'est fabuleux! Dubrovnik et environs. Si tu veux de la plage et du culturel, tu as de tout. les gens sont tres serviables.

si je devais passer 15 jours en europe sans vouloir me ruiner en transport, je ferai le triangle prague (republique tcheque)-vienne (autriche)-budapest (hongrie).
les distances entre ces villes sont vraiment courtes et les villes parmi les plus belles europe.(en passant un peu moins de temps dans chaque ville, on peut aussi rajouter cracovie en pologne, qui n'est pas tres loin non plus.
l'italie c'est tres cher si vous avez un budget limite, surtout la toscane dont quelqu'un parle plus haut mais il est vrai que c'est magnifique aussi.
Notre voyage est en suspens en ce moment! Celle qui est en France trippe à fond dans son stage, donc on ne planifie pas beaucoup le voyage. J'attends qu'elle revienne sur la planète Terre!!!

We’re planning a short trip at the end of July to explore the legendary mountains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland: round trip from Nancy (Swiss highway vignette planned), 2 nights in a room with a small kitchen in Adelboden, then 2 nights in a hotel at the Gletscherblick in Grindelwald, both with half-board included.
Could you share some tips on the best road routes to take, as well as some walking hikes (we’re not as fit as we used to be, so nothing longer than 2-3 hours)? Maybe also 1 or 2 cable car rides—I was thinking of Oeschinensee Lake above Kandersteg and the First gondola above Grindelwald for better panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau... all while keeping it doable with our schedule. We’ve ruled out the "premium" trip up to the Jungfraujoch for this time.
I’m also guessing that paying to access Wengen or Mürren only makes sense if we’re staying there for a few days, right?

I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip:
- Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running.
- I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out.
- The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days.
- Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought.
- Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep.
- The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper.
- I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today.
In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.

We’re heading to Bavaria from May 13 to 23, with a side trip to Austria.
Here’s our itinerary:

Day 3: Munich and departure for Salzburg
We’ll be staying three nights in Salzburg.
Then we’ll head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we’ll stay for five nights.
Visiting Munich and Salzburg isn’t too tricky.
Once in Garmisch, we’re planning a day in Innsbruck, a day for Neuschwanstein Castle, and the rest is still up in the air.
What’s really got me stumped is that we’d love to see Königssee Lake—everyone says it’s a must-see.
We’d also like to visit the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), where the landscapes are supposedly stunning.
This would either be a round trip while we’re in Salzburg or on the way between Salzburg and Garmisch, but I’m guessing it’s impossible to do the drive from Salzburg to Garmisch, the Eagle’s Nest, *and* Königssee Lake all in one day.
Plus, the Alpine route between Salzburg and Garmisch seems prettier than the highway.
But honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the planning.
We should’ve added a stop between Salzburg and Garmisch, but the hotels are already booked.

There you go! This itinerary takes into account that we’d like to do a circuit starting from Seville in a few years. That said, it’d be a shame to miss something doable from Malaga.
Questions:
Since the Alhambra visit is only at 5 PM, and we’d already have the day to explore Granada, would arriving the day before be a mistake? Or should we skip this day and dedicate it elsewhere (Costa del Sol? Head toward Tabernas?)? The old town appeals to me, but maybe the Sacromonte neighborhood isn’t essential...
Same question for Ronda: should we dedicate a full day to it, or combine Ronda and the White Villages in one day?
Note that we love wandering around villages outside, so that might answer my question! :)
Final question: Is it better to rent the car at Malaga Airport or in the city? If we rent at the airport, we’d need a hotel with parking, which doesn’t seem easy. Or stay outside the city and park for free near the center if possible? I’ve read comments about taking a taxi to Malaga and then picking up the rental car at the airport the next morning. The taxi would really need to be affordable...
