Anyone coming back from Holguin?

Hi fellow travelers, I’m sending this little message to ask if anyone is coming back from Holguin in Cuba, and how the temperature is over there? Did they have any water outages in that area? And regarding money exchange, is it better to exchange into Cuban or US currency? Sorry for asking these questions, as it’s been a few years since I’ve been to Cuba. Do they still require proof of COVID vaccination, since COVID has been making a gradual comeback here? Thanks for reading!

Hi there,
I went to Cayo Cruz last May. If you're staying at an all-inclusive, you don’t need to exchange your money. Canadian dollars are accepted. If you exchange your money into Cuban pesos (convertible pesos no longer exist), you’ll lose a lot because the exchange rate is based on the US dollar. You’ll get this info confirmed during the hotel briefing.
No proof of vaccination was asked for.
However, 48 hours before your departure, you’ll need to fill out a form online. You’ll be asked to show this form (digital or printed) upon arrival in Cuba, just before going through customs.
Have a great trip!

Hi,
I was at Brisas Guardalavaca from November 2nd to 12th, 2024. The temperature was perfect, but it varies from day to day. I only bring Canadian dollars, and the bills must be in good condition. No vaccination proof was required.
Have a great day
