Hi there, I’m planning our upcoming trip to Guadeloupe. We’re looking for a place to stay where human contact is a priority, with air conditioning, close to the beaches, and clean.

We’ve had several responses. After doing some research online, I was able to rule out quite a few options. But now I’m deciding between: Kokoplaj, tipayoune (issue: no AC, just fans—is that a problem?), Résidence Le Zandoli, and Gwada Rêves.

If you have any info or experiences to share, I’d love to hear them! ;-) Thanks for your help! See you soon...

Hello, I’ve just returned from Guadeloupe. We stayed in Sainte-Anne in a studio by the sea: La Vague Bleue. It was a gorgeous spot—right by the sand, with a nearby beach (blue lagoon) just a 10-minute walk away. We could grab groceries on our way back, with several small shops, bakeries, stores, and even an internet café around. There’s a public market every day. It turned out to be an excellent choice. 50 € per day. Air-conditioned room. The Guadeloupean owners were incredibly kind. Quiet and safe. I highly recommend it without hesitation. Enjoy your trip to Guadeloupe! De

Hi,

I got back from Guadeloupe yesterday. We stayed in Sainte-Anne at a bungalow called "MALUEVA"—everything was perfect: no neighbors in sight, clean, and a dream location just 200m from La Caravelle beach, which is one of the most beautiful (white sand, turquoise water). There’s a bakery at the end of the street and a grocery store a bit further down... For car rental, we rented from La Colombe. You can walk there—it’s at the artisan market. But they can also deliver the car to the airport or a meet-up point. If you need a taxi shuttle, Tropikalcar is also very professional 🙂

Feel free to ask if you have any questions 😎

Hi there,

We're heading to Guadeloupe soon, and the only thing left to sort out is the car rental!

TROPIKAL CAR made us an enticing offer, but we're struggling to find reviews about them. They propose picking us up at the airport and taking us to the hotel where the car will be waiting for us.

We read your post, and it seems you used this company's services only for the airport/hotel shuttle and rented a car from another company. Was that because you had already booked with the other company from home, or do they actually just do taxi services?

Thanks for your reply!

Hello,

Tropikal Car didn’t have any cars left to offer us, which is why I turned to La Colombe. It was perfect since the company is located in Sainte-Anne 🙂 We didn’t want to pick up the car directly at the airport—we *had* to use a shuttle because we had sports equipment and luggage, basically too much for a basic car

Thanks for the quick reply!!

So, if I understand correctly, if they’d had cars available, you would’ve rented with them? So you’re recommending we do business with Tropikalcar? Thanks and have a great day

Yes, absolutely, I would’ve rented from them. I was really happy with the "Shuttle" service—punctuality, friendliness, it was truly impeccable, so I don’t see why the car rental would go wrong. They were super professional, really! 😉 Compare prices with La Colombe, that’s the only thing that might set them apart

Hello, We’re also interested in a stay at TIPAYOUNE. Did you end up staying there? If so, what are your thoughts? On the ABRITEL site, it mentions that it has air conditioning. Could you confirm this for us? Thank you! Best regards,

Hi Délia, all the cottages at Kokoplaj have air conditioning in every room, fiber Wi-Fi, and no water outages. We also have a surf school and a snack bar on-site.
