Hi,
I’ve booked tickets to Phuket to stay in the Andaman Islands (Ko Phi Phi, Ko Lanta Yai Noi, etc.).
I’m really struggling to book our hotels because the reviews are so bad.
We’re looking for mid-range to upscale hotels.
Any tips or recommendations would be super welcome!!! Thank youuuu
Check Agoda or Booking, Kayak, or others.

Hi,
I’m new to the forum and I’m planning my trip to Thailand in February 2026 (school holidays).
For Phuket, I’ve booked Thanthip Beach Resort, and for Koh Yao Noi – Koh Yao Sea View Bungalow. I can’t give any recommendations just yet, but I’ll share more in March 2026 about these two hotels. The reviews for both were good though...
The Andaman Islands? They're in India.
Capital: Port Blair.
Floflo talks about the Andaman Sea islands off Thailand. Their aside is pretty clear.
Read and (try to) understand before firing off in all directions.
In that case, what is she doing on the India forum?
Good point... more relevant than the previous one! Mine wasn’t random—it was just to provoke a reaction so the question could be posted in the right section. She might’ve gotten some answers that way. The Thailand section gets more traffic than the India one.

Maybe it could’ve gotten some answers that way.

Those are some really insightful thoughts 🙂

I read and tried to understand, and after noticing that the thread starter explicitly asked for information about Thailand, I also concluded that it made less sense to post it in the India forum than it would have in the Thailand forum. This therefore gives credit to those who jumped in all directions.

To err is human (for Floflo), to persist is diabolical (for the others). 😛
What about you all?

Hello,
I’m really struggling to book our hotels, as the reviews are so bad.
Hi, you’ve got to keep in mind that when it comes to Koh Phi Phi, the island is small and very touristy. There are lots of little "guesthouses" and at night there’s noise pollution. Even if you have a room in a "resort" and pay the price, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get a good room.

Which "small" very touristy island are we talking about? Koh Phi Phi? Koh Yao Noi? Koh Lanta?😏
oops, I edited my message—yes, it's about Koh Phi Phi

It’ll cost you a pretty penny, though.

Breaking the bank, for sure.
Watch out—there’s a 10% tax + 18% in fees!😏 And the pool is really small🙁 Is the garden *really* "organic"? I doubt it... All kinds of waste and plastics are probably buried in the mangrove!🙁 40 times cheaper and more "romantic":😉 https://www.kohyaotravel.com/thakhaobayview

👍👍👍
Floflo hasn't logged in since May 27th. She might already be back from her trip by now.
I hope she didn't pick a time when heavy rains were pouring down in the south of the country.
