I'm arriving in Agadir from Brussels tomorrow and plan to travel by road to Mauritania. What are the best spots and accommodation options along the way? Thanks to all members for any tips and answers

Hey,

Before Tan-Tan, there’s too much to say...

About the simple drive down... In addition to the info already shared...

Check out Naila and its Khenifiss Park.

Dakhla and its bay, of course.

After that... whether you're into fishing or not... the appeal won’t be the same...

It’s not the most beautiful region in Morocco, but it’s still nice and very different... A great transition to the Rim. I quite like the stretch between Dakhla and Bir Gandouz. Even better if you can get off the tarmac. Plenty of fishing spots and wild coastline...

It’s nothing like Agadir, though... and that’s a thousand times better...

Mauritania has become really peaceful again. A great idea to go there... Especially since there have been major changes in terms of tarmac roads there too.

And on top of that, with the new four-lane highway... Be prepared to hand over info sheets at police checkpoints just in case.
