Nous regrettons énormement de ne pas avoir eu de réponses ou de renseignements, sur ce forum, mais notre projet d'expatriation se précise. Je serai au Belize du 15 au 28 mars 2008 (en éclaireur). Je compte bien parcourir tout le pays afin de trouver le lieu idéal de notre implantation. Nous sommes bien interessés par la région de Sarteneja, Corozal. Comme j'aurai besoin d'une chambre pour mon hébergement dans cette région, si l'occasion se présente, je serais très content de rencontrer Jen33. Surtout, si vous avez des renseignements ou des suggestions, n'hésitez pas à me les transmettre, je vous en remercie d'avance.

mais une amie y a passer un mois et ma dit texto qu il y avait pas grand chose a voir labas, je ne connais pas les raisons de votre decision mais pour investir je ne pense pas que ce soit le bon endroit, a moins que vous connaissiez quelqu un deja expatrier au belize.

Pietro, je te remercie pour ton intervention et pour répondre à ta question, je te dirai que mon épouse et moi, nous désirons trouver un endroit tranquille pour nous installer et créer un petit commerce, ce qui explique notre choix pour le Belize. Par contre je n'ai pas bien saisi ta phrase, lorsque tu dis:"pour investir je ne pense pas que ce soit le bon endroit, a moins que vous connaissiez quelqu un deja expatrier au belize". Est-ce une question liée aux difficultés pour les formalités (visa de travail, de résident...), ou simplement un choix par rapport au pays ?

Nous sommes un couple domino, la quarantaine, trois enfants (5, 6, 16 ans) et sommes domiciliés à Mayotte depuis 2 ans, après avoir vécu pendant 15 ans en Guyane (où j'étais entrepreneur dans le BTP plomberie, installation sanitaire).
Nous avons l'intention de venir nous installer au Belize pour, soit investir et créer une petite entreprise, soit prendre une gérance ou louer un commerce. Nous nous posons quelques questions et aimerions savoir: Comment sont les gens? Sont-ils accueillants? En général ils sont très gentils et serviable, dépendant ou tu vas au Belize !! Quels sont les secteurs économiques sous exploités, voir inexistants en matière d'activité commerciale? je parle toujours en fonction de mon village (ex: prestations de service, hébergement touristique déjà un peut saturé mais pas impossible avec un meilleur service, restauration, idem, alimentation ou épicerie fine (pour les touristes), oui pourquoi pas etc.)je verrai bien une quincaillerie vendant du bois de charpente et plus. ici au Belize les chinois réussissent bien dans tout se qui touche, la raison est qu’ils sont de très bon travaillant et entrepreneurs La vie est-elle chère? (loyer, nourriture etc.) oui et non si tu vie a l’européenne ça te coutera plus chère, pour le logement (maison et terrain) environ une moyenne de$40, 000 us + ou - Quelles sont les formalités afin de pouvoir s'établir? Est-ce difficile. va voir dans les autres sujets du forum sur le Belize, provenant du ptit criss ou encore micrurus, c est toutes moi et j en parle beaucoup Pour ns trouver fait une recherche sur le net en cherchant cabanas Sarteneja et tu trouvera facilement notre site web A plus
Si tu veux de plus amples renseignements sur le Belize, cherches les messages de Jen33, sur ce forum. Il y est installé depuis longtemps, je l'ai rencontré, lui et son épouse, qui sont des gens très charmants. De plus cette dernière est spécialiste des serpents, ça devrait faire ton affaire. Pour moi, j'ai trouvé que le Belize était un pays sympa et nous nous y installons, ma famille et moi, en octobre prochain. Je te souhaite une bonne continuaton dans tes recherches et peut-être à bientôt au Belize.
PS: le nom commun du bothrops, est le "Grage petit carreaux", en Guyane Française et au Brésil.
Je ne pense pas que tu puisses pratiquer le kitesurf à Sarteneja étant donné que les plages sont petites, voir inexistantes. Tu peux à la limite faire de la planche à voile. Par contre la mer est belle.

Pourquoi pas mais la population du Belize demeure assez pauvre tout de même avec peu de pouvoir d'achat...
les gens de l'étranger qui veulent acheter dans la région le font plutôt à Playa del Carmen..

oui c'est une idée mais pour acheter un guesthouse il faut être de préférence présent sur les grands axes touristiques.
Au Belize il n'y en pas beaucoup le pays reçoit bien moins de visiteur que la Riviera Maya mexicaine...
je me répète encore une fois 90% des touristes vont sur les Cayes au Belize.
Et sur Caye Caulker il doit avoir 50% de guesthouses et hôtels, 20% de commerces et 20 d'habitations pour les locaux..

Le Belize c'est pas la question d'avoir l'air tranquille ou pas la question est de savoir si ce que vous voulez faire peut se faire au Belize..
donc faut faire une étude de marché aller sur place aller à la Chambre de Commerce Locale parler avec des décideurs locaux.
Attention le Belize c'est très petit ; Belmopan c'est 3 patés de maison et c'est tout..

juste une dernière petite info faut compter 200000 USD pour un simple 2 pièces dans un condo.
Si tu veux acheter un B&B faut compter minimum 700 000 dollars US.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
