Si vous souhaitez vous installer en France, vous devez entrer régulièrement sur le territoire. C’est pourquoi vous devez faire, avant votre départ, une demande de visa long séjour auprès des autorités consulaires françaises.
Vous serez également tenus de vous enregistrer dès votre arrivée en France auprès de l’Office Français d’Immigration et d’Intégration (OFII), ou de la préfecture de votre lieu d’installation.
Demandé dans le but d’une installation, votre visa pourra comporter la mention « carte de séjour à solliciter à l’arrivée en France ». Vous serez alors tenu de demander un titre de séjour auprès de la préfecture dans les 2 mois qui suivent votre entrée sur le territoire national, sous peine d’être en situation irrégulière.
LA DEMANDE D’UN TITRE DE SÉJOUR
Les titres de séjour reconnus par le droit des étrangers français sont variés et couvrent diverses situations : « vie privée et familiale », « étudiant », « étranger malade », « salarié »… Ces titres de séjour sont valables 1 an.
Les demandes de titres de séjour se font en préfecture. Ce sont des demandes individuelles et personnelles. Vous êtes donc tenu de vous rendre à la préfecture. Un dossier vous y sera remis indiquant les pièces à fournir. Lorsque vous déposerez votre dossier de demande de titre, un récépissé vous sera délivré. Ce récépissé est la seule preuve de votre demande de titre de séjour. Il vous permet de séjourner régulièrement sur le territoire le temps de l’étude de votre demande de titre.
N’hésitez pas à vous faire aider par des associations pour remplir le formulaire de demande d’un titre de séjour ! Si vous estimez que le préfet vous a refusé à tort un titre de séjour, vous pouvez former un recours en annulation contre l’arrêté préfectoral prononçant le refus de titre devant le tribunal administratif de Lille dans les 2 mois qui suivent la délivrance de l’arrêté : 143, rue Jacquemars Giélée 59000 LILLE – 03.20.63.13.00

Une petite précision concernant votre contribution, si vous le permettez...
Je pars du principe que son mari et elle sont de nationalité extracommunautaire à l'Union Européenne et par conséquent, comme vous le savez peut-être, le marché du travail au sein de l'UE est soumis à restrictions, à savoir que le marché de l'emploi en France est réservé prioritairement à tous les ressortissants de L'UE et de l'AELE ainsi que pour chaque pays respectifs, des extracommunautaires de l'UE qui sont déjà résidents (carte de séjour pour étrangers résidents en France pour chercher du travail en France).
Or, trouver un travail s'avère difficile, si ce n'est que de créer son poste de travail (ce que j'ai supposé en lisant le post initial et par conséquent qu'ils avaient les moyens financiers pour une subsistance en ìle de France)
A mon humble avis, si réellement son objectif est de trouver du travail comme salarié, je converge à vos conclusions que ce soit pratiquement "mission impossible". (Travail qu'il devra trouver depuis Madagascar, puis se déplacer en France avec le visa adéquat et garanties financières pour le séjour afin d'avoir un entretien qui débouchera (ou pas) sur un CDD ou un CDI voire même du travail à l'appel....
Oui, vous avez entièrement raison. S'il est malgache, c'est en effet, même pas la peine d'essayer, je dirais. Graphiste n'étant pas un métier ultra-spécifique comme ça peut l'être dans l'ingénierie, les sciences, etc, donc, pas de besoin de profil spécifique. Et avec tout le chômage qu'il y a déjà chez nous...
Mais vous savez, il y en a toujours pour dire qu'il ne faut pas démoraliser ceux qui veulent venir travailler, blablabla... C'est justement pour éviter ce genre de remarques que je n'ai pas précisé l'impossibilité de la chose... Ensuite, ce n'est jamais facile à dire. On ne sait jamais la réaction de la personne... Quand on voit le nombre de personnes qui veulent venir travailler en Europe pour de meilleures conditions alors que nous, on galère déjà... Mais c'est la réalité. Ils ne peuvent pas venir sauf vraiment pénurie de main-d'oeuvre dans leur spécialité...

j'ai lu beaucoup de forum et tous disent la même chose. j'en conclu donc qu'il faut un contrat de travail en béton pour pouvoir partir.
Si vous êtes un investisseur potentiel qui va tenter sa chance en France, pourquoi pas? La préfecture déroulera spécialement pour vous le tapis rouge lorsque vous foulerez le tarmac de Charles de Gaules avec cocktail de vin de Bordeaux premier cru de bienvenue offert par le gouvernement français.
Dans le cas échéant, vous serez juste une charge en plus pour la société française déjà en crise et, dans ce cas, le consulat de France de votre pays d'origine vous refusera le visa même à titre touristique.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
