Hi,

I'm looking to buy an ultra-lightweight 50/55L travel backpack with a suitcase or front opening. Does anyone have any brand and/or model recommendations? Thanks, Emma

Hi there,

I’m really happy with our Inateck backpacks (38.5 liters to 46.2 liters). Found them on a well-known online marketplace... A little over 50 €, lightweight, practical, and great dimensions.

Hi there, Thanks for the feedback. I had the same one and just sold it. It was good size-wise, but I found it too heavy when empty. There must be ultra-light backpacks with lighter frames out there. Gotta find the brand!

Lighter frames also mean more contact with your back and therefore more sweating.😅

Hi there, Did you find what you were looking for? I’m also on the hunt for a backpack with a suitcase-style or front opening.

If you have a model to suggest, I’d love to hear it! :)

Hi, I went for a Decathlon Simond 50L women’s pack while I look for something better. It weighs 1.6 kg—it’s not ultra-light, but not too heavy either. I’ll see how it works in practice. Have you come across any interesting models? Thanks, Emma

Okay, thanks.

No, I haven’t found a model that fits all my criteria (lightweight with suitcase or front opening, comfortable, and secure). I’m torn between these models: - The Simond 50L MT100: but you can’t lock it with a padlock. - The Simond 45+10 MT500: I tried it, and it hurts my neck. - The Forclaz 50+6 Travel 900: it’s heavy (2.3 kg).

I think I’ll go with the Forclaz—I’ll try it in-store and see...

What did you buy it for? Mostly hiking, travel, or both? I’m using it for a long trip.
